I am rejecting this response because:
There were two full containers of dry food with ***'s name on it brought home, maybe she fed him dry but fed him someone else's so he moved it aroundShe told me he was a barker , I know he barks when he is hungryI do believe she tried to feed him but not with his food because it all came homeIt was prescription foodThose papers she told me to bring in were my fault, but this time I did bring them and they had the name of the vet and my sisters number, if she was having such a hard time with him they would have picked him up I would have preferred that for the care of a sick dog with an infection he needed to eat and restNot sleep in a pet carrier that was not his and too small He went to the vet for a shot for boarding and a check up and the vet took blood the that's how we found out about the infection in the liver, not because of her saying he pees everywhereNo, he does not pee at home, and yes like her I am very clean but he is my dog and I am only taking care of one dog, maybe she needs more help*** has been kenneled over thirteen years and I have never complained, onceYvette is a small kennel with fewer dogs and I thought she would be a better fit for *** during his elder yearsI wish she would have had said no to boarding him if he was such a problem for herShe said she has never had a complaint, most people don't complain they just never come backAll of the kennels *** has been at have loved him too and have never mentioned the issues she is bringing upAlso upon return home his infection levels went up, at the vet the Monday after, he lost weight, do to not eatingHis bedding was ruined , she said he peed on it ,strange ,never at home have I ever seen that, Also putting his big comfy pillow bed outside in the weather it was totally ruinedHe was in the worst shape when we brought him home shaking, poop stuck on his body and we had to give him a bath*** has been attacked by large dogs and that was on the sheet and I told her but she put them outside with them, she said he growled at them to keep them awayI have never seen the inside of her kennels only a photo on line but they should have a drain to hose down urination, she doesn't have a refriduratior for medicine or wet food for animals ? These are the facts, she has her opinion and I have mine, but this is about *** and the service I prepaid for on our family vacationNon-satisfactory

[redacted]corresponding documents attached. I received a letter form you yesterday, April 5th.  I am very appreciative for being given the opportunity to give my side.   I would like to start out by saying this is the 3rd time I have had [redacted] stay at my kennel with me.  He is a wonderful...

dog and I enjoy spending time with him and watching him interact with the other guests we have.  He is such a loving dog and he always wants to be with me when he sees me.   The first time he stayed with us was Friday, July 25th at 2:30 pm until Wednesday, July 29th at 5:30 pm and again on Friday, August 21st at 9:45 pm until Monday, August 24th at 4 pm.  At both of these previous boarding stays [redacted] would drink like he couldn't get enough water and continually urinate in the kennel.  After the first time I spoke with his owner she told me he NEVER does that at home and didn't know why he did it.  She was very apologetic.  She then called me to book his second stay in August and we spoke about it and she said he has had no accidents and is drinking like normal.  I agreed to try again but asked her to bring his kennel from home that he is use to and thought maybe that would help. A lot of clients do this just even as a security blanket for their loved pet. I also reminded her that I sent her the forms she needed to print off, fill out and bring along with [redacted]'s updated shot records.  She agreed but when she came to drop off she had forgotten his kennel and both the forms I had emailed her to fill out and also bring in.  I decided that since he was here just a few weeks ago and she assures me that he never has accidents at home that maybe it would go better in regards of his urination because his tempermet was wonderful.  Well, it didn't.  He would just urinate in the kennel all the time.  Lifting his leg on the walls and door so then it would go out in the isle and get on all my runners and he would always walk in it several times and then walk all the way out the door with urine on all his feet and dragging that all the way down the isle on the rugs and the floor.  I am a VERY clean person and I keep my kennel VERY clean.  So that means I have to pull up all the long rubber backed rugs I have and scrub top and bottom and let them dry out.  When she came to pick [redacted] up I informed her that he urinated all over again. That nothing had changed and he still drinks his water like he just can't get enough.  She assured me again that is not [redacted] and she continued to apologize. I said he was a great dog besides his constant urination and that he does bark a lot and maybe that's why he is so thirsty all the time.   Six months later in February of 2016 she called me again and asked if I would be willing to try [redacted] again.  I told her I had one kennel available for the time she was looking to board and I would take him if she would bring his kennel and the completed forms that I will have now sent her 3 times.  She Thanked me for trying him again and promised she would remember his kennel and the completed forms.  I called her 2 days later to tell her that [redacted] needed his updated bordetella vaccine otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch him.  She thanked me for letting her know and said she'd get him in.  I told her he needed a 3 day incubation period so the sooner the better.   From the paperwork she furnished me with I see she brought her dog to the vet on March 7, 2016 for his bordetella shot and she said she brought up his urination and thirst problems. She said that they found he had an enlarged liver and that could be causing his urination and thirst though she has continually stated to this day that he NEVER has any problems at home it just seems to be at my kennel.      She called me again on the 9th asking if I administer medications to pets.  I told her I do but there is a charge for it.  We talked for about 20 minutes as she was telling me how she can't get him to take his medication.  She said he was on 4 pills a day.  One on an empty stomach, then one with food, another on an empty stomach and another with food.  She stated she can not get [redacted] to take these pills and is trying any and everything.  We chatted about this and I recommended using mushy food in the packets as I find them easier to use then cans.  She still hadn't arranged a drop off time or pick up time that she would schedule.  She said she would know by Monday and would give me a call to set those up.   She did end up calling me on Tuesday the 15th, not Monday, saying she still wasn't sure on the drop off or pick up times as she if flying stand by.  We picked 9:45 am for drop off and 4 pm for pick up as I close at 4 on Saturday and Sunday is Easter and I am closed all day for drop off and pick ups.  She said she would call me on Thursday, March 17th if anything changed, as she was dropping off the next morning, and she thanked me for all the help with his food and pill suggestions.  She would say, "Thanks sweetie you are such a life saver." "You have been so flexible and helpful with this situation." "I am so lucky to have found you." She would say these comments frequently during our conversations.  She said that she is feeding [redacted] all the pills with food and can barely get him to eat them that way.  She did call me on the evening of the 17th to change the drop off time to 9 am instead of 9:45 am and if they wouldn't be able to get back by Saturday, March 26th at 4 pm she would call me in plenty of time and they would then pick up [redacted] on Monday.  She said [redacted] still isn't taking his pills even crushed up but that I should just do my best.   They arrived at 8:45 am on Friday, March 18th.  We went over all items in her bag, they brought in his kennel that is a wire kennel from top to bottom, 2 kennel liners, a blanket and his dog bed. In their bag they had a larger tupperware full of dry dog food at the bottom and a smaller tupperware on top with dog food in it.  Several packets of mushy dog food, a baggie of greenies, a yellow bowl for his food dish, a spoon, a pill crusher, several baggies of his medication labeled AM and PM, which I asked for to make sure the correct pills are given at the correct times, but instead of each baggie having only 2 pills in them each baggie had 4 pills in them.  I asked her about it and had to change the bill from giving 32 pills to 64 pills.  After that she told me how to do it.  Mix 1/2 cups dry, 1 packed mushy food and all 4 pills crushed separately to make sure each one is crushed to as fine a powder I can.  Then stir it all together and give it to him. Do this same process at each feeding but in the morning also give him 1 greenie.  She said he isn't eating it well and if he doesn't eat it just toss it out and start over again for the next feeding.  I did everything she asked me to do and even gave him his greenie every morning that I had one as she only packed 8 and not 9 so on his last day he didn't get one. I also could only give him a half packet of the mushy at both feedings on Thursday and Friday as she didn't send me enough of the packets. She dropped him off without feeding him breakfast and I didn't even charge her for that feeding.  I guess if it's so hard to get your dog to eat his food and medication and he is so sick you would at least make sure he took it in the morning. I told her we would take care of his accident fee if he had any when she picked up and she Thanked me yet again for all me help! She did mention when she dropped off  if I would be willing to try him in my kennel first and then if he was urinating to put him in his.  I said I would be willing to start him out in his and if he doesn't urinate in his I will just keep the door open and he can have the whole area.  I put his kennel in the back of my kennel and put his bed in sideways right next to it, as that is the only way it would fit.     I gave him his breakfast right away as he had not eaten yet. He did eat the greenie right away. I left the kennel for I hour and when I came down to check on all my guests I noticed he pushed his bowl all around and and flipped it on the kennel liner, out through the sides of his kennel and mashed it on the wall.  He also sat in it so had it all over him and urinated in his kennel already.   I put him outside and cleaned up the entire mess and sprayed off his kennel and the kennel liners she brought for him.  He had also urinated on his bed and he lifted his leg and there are no sides on his kennel so it just goes everywhere.  After I cleaned that all up he came in and I gave him fresh water but had tossed the food as none was left in the bowl.     At dinner that first night I put his food all mixed up and with all the pills for dinner and gave him more water.  I put just his food and water in the kennel with him but not his kennel liners she brought as they were still wet.  He did the same thing.  Food, water and urine everywhere.  All over his kennel, his bed again and my kennel floor and walls. He also walked/sat in it so again it was on him also.  So I cleaned it all again and left outside to dry so he was in my kennel just free with nothing else except fresh water.   He slept in his kennel in my kennel but didn't have any kennel liners or blankets which I don't even allow in my kennel, and didn't have his bed as it was still wet.  I can't have any items inside my kennel that have been urinated on as it makes the whole kennel smell.  I placed them outside where no other pets has access to it.   Breakfast was the same thing so I don't know how much he is eating.  He did eat every greenie I gave him every morning.  I can only offer the dogs their food.  I can't make them eat it and I couldn't sit and watch him as I was completely booked and had to give all the guests my attention and care.  At about 11:30 am [redacted] called me to check in and I was completely honest, as that is how I am, and told her that he is spilling all his food and water and urinating on it and he's urinating on his bedding also. That I don't think he has really even eaten but has had his greenies and my treats.  She once again was so apologetic.  I mentioned putting him in one of my kennels as they have sides and are not wire like his so then if he urinates it will stay in the kennel and not get on his bedding.  She said "Ohh, do what ever you have to sweetie, I am so sorry." I said "Don't worry we will get through this you and your family enjoy your vacation."   At dinner the same thing happened.  I also give him treats like the rest of the dogs when they come into their kennels.  I give them things like a milk bone, begging strips and mini steak treats.   On Sunday Morning I gave [redacted] 1 packet of  the mushy food with his 4 crushed pills and he ate almost all of it. Then I gave him a 1/2 cup dry which he didn't touch.  At dinner I added the mushy to the dry that was left and his pills.  He dumped it all over again.   On Monday morning I again gave him 1 packet of the mushy food and all 4 pills and again he ate all of that.  So I tore up some of my Beggin Strips and put that with a 1/2 cup dry and offered him that.  He just spilled that all over so I don't know what he ate.  So for dinner I gave him a 1/2 cup dry, 1 packet of the mushy food, all 4 pills crushed and I added water to it.  He really seemed to like that and ate some of it.  So I continued to feed him that way the rest of his stay and somedays he ate better than others.     I worked SO VERY HARD on making sure [redacted]'s stay was wonderful!!  I continually tried to figure out a way I could get him to eat his food and I didn't stop until I found what seemed to work best. He always seemed to eat breakfast the best because he was always so thirsty so adding the water before I gave him his water bowl really seemed to help but since he had access to water all day the dinner one he would just eat a bit I think.  When ever I feed [redacted] he would always flip his bowl over and dump his food and push it around with his nose like he was trying to bury it with something so it was hard to know what if anything he had eaten.  I would take his water away every night around 6:30 pm.   I would have preferred if he didn't urinate in the kennel but I never even scolded him for it cause that is what he had always done here.  I have had him all 3 times and he behaved the same way all 3 times, except for dumping his food all over.  I do not mind if dogs have accidents but if they continually have them I do charge an accident fee to the owners as I spoke with [redacted] about.  It is a $5.00 charge per day and [redacted] was aware of that fee and I told her we would take care of that when she picked up.  And once again she said I was an angel and thanked me so much.   Not only did I do everything [redacted] asked me for [redacted] I also went way above and beyond what anyone would expect of a boarder, especially one that is fully booked, because that is the kind of person I am.    I took GREAT care of [redacted] every time he visited us.  I believe [redacted] is mad as she asked if I would take [redacted] again and I was honest and said [redacted] is a great dog but he is much more work than the price I charge.  During this time she commented on how she can tell [redacted] really likes me as he kept coming to me and jumping up on me.  So I said "He's a great dog and you seem like a really nice family but I am not going to be able to take him again not for the rate that I charge. He is just too much work at my rate."  We said goodbye and she thanked me and then left as I had more people that had just pulled up.    [redacted] brought 2 tupperware containers with dry dog food in them both.  I used the smaller one on the top and when I ran out I took everything out of her bag to get to the bottom container and poured some of that dog food into the smaller one as it was easier for me to work with the top container instead of having to take everything out at every feeding.  The smaller one was right on top.  I did this 3 times and only used a little of the third one so after her first e-mail I was hoping she would have at least opened the bottom larger one and seen what I had done and maybe send me an apology.  But apparently she didn't or didn't notice or maybe felt silly for not noticing sooner and has just continued with this story.   I never once said [redacted] was terrible or even bad.  I said several times what a wonderful, loving dog he was.  I just said he is to much work for the price I charge.  I went through 1 1/2 boxes of towels and 2 bottles of my cleaning solution, which I never said to her.  I didn't even charge [redacted] as I knew I wouldn't be taking him any more so I just decided to let it go.  [redacted] has always had shaky back legs ever since he has come here and yes his legs shook again this time but they always did.  I noticed it mostly when he was drinking water.     Also [redacted] was in my kennel all day and all night. In fact I even moved him a couple times to a different kennel to see if that would help him.  He only went outside with the other dogs every few hours or so to get some exercise and go potty.  He never pooped in any kennel and he also did go pee outside almost every time I put him out.  He was never left out to long or NEVER all night.  Starting Tuesday night I started putting [redacted] in one of my portable kennels which I received [redacted]'s permission to do so.  She gave me the permission on Saturday, March 19th at about 11:30 am.  I didn't use it until Tuesday, March 22nd, as by that time I couldn't bring his bedding in anymore as it was to smelly, and only put him in it during the night time.  It was almost as big as the kennel she brought but it has sides so he couldn't pee out of the kennel and I used it Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night.  It worked well.  I scrubbed it every morning and left it out all day to dry.  The first night I even used one of my disposable liners incase he urinated it would be able to soak it up and he wouldn't have to sit in it but he shredded it and it was a huge mess so I only did that one night and learned.  I also have proof that she told me he lost 6 pounds at the Vet and I noticed it has now gone up to 7 pounds.  She herself said [redacted] wouldn't eat his pills.  I did all she asked me to do plus way more to try to get [redacted] to eat as I know how important medication is.  But I can't make him eat it.  She was so thankful about all my work and help and continually apologized for his accidents and I kept saying it was fine and no big deal.  I really truly believe that this is happening because I said I would not be able to watch him again.  Also when I said to her son that [redacted] pees all the time he said "That's [redacted]." I have never boarded a dog that pees so much and I watch lots of dogs that are older and can't hold their bladders or even puppies who have accidents.  It's generally not that big of a deal.  I do believe that there is no way he can't be peeing at home.  I just feel she is not being honest.  About her bedding I can't help if her dog pees on it or digs his food on it.  I even sprayed them all of every time he peed on them or messed them up with his food.  I can't help what a dog does to his bed.  Some dogs even rip them to shreds.  I have never been blamed for the damage ones dog does to their beds.   I have never had a complaint in all my 10 years of boarding dogs.  I take my job very seriously and I love what I do.  I would never mistreat a dog for any reason and I take pride in being a very honest person because I would want to know how my dog did.  I also know exactly how each guest does because I have no employees it is just me and my 15 and 17 year old daughters occasionally help out.   This situation is very stressful for me and I feel their is NO TRUTH to any of her allegations.  I could furnish you with past and present clients of mine.   I have e-mails from [redacted] that I feel are threatening and she had one of her friends e-mail me through my website right after I called her.  She didn't answer so I left her a very nice, civil message although I was beside myself from her false allegations and the day before Easter when I am having a house full of people celebrating with us.  I am going to attach them to this email so you can see them and decide.  When [redacted] left here she said she was sorry and she can tell how much [redacted] likes me as he kept coming to me and jumping on me.  I treated him so well that this complaint is very hurtful for me and I am thinking about what I can do to protect myself and my business from people like her.  I have never raised my rates in 10 years and that is something I am proud of but if I need to do other things to try and weed out people like [redacted] then I will have to increase my rates.   I Thank You so much for taking the time to get my side of what happened and if you have any questions please feel free to call me.  I have asked [redacted] not to contact me directly again as she is threatening me and I know this situation is not even true so I know I will not be refunding her a cent.  In fact for all the stress and aggravation she has been causing me I think I should be compensated especially for her false accusation and slander. But I just want to move on and use this as a learning experience.  To be honest what has this taught me?  Anybody can lie at anytime. If you have any suggestions on how to screen these people out I would greatly appreciate it.  I guess when your are given lemons make lemon aid.  I truly hope this is the first and last I ever have to deal with a situation like this as it really take a toll on you.   Sincerely,  Yvette [redacted]   www.caninecountrycare.com   ###-###-####

I feel my first letter to you was very thorough and I really can not be more detailed.  I personally took care of [redacted]'s dog [redacted] during his entire stay at my kennel so I know exactly what he was fed, what he ate, his behavior, etc. and I tried to convey that in my first response so I really can not say more. I will not be refunding [redacted] any money as I personally took great care of [redacted].  As I stated this was the 3rd time [redacted] stayed with me and he behaved the same way all 3 times. I try to make each family pet feel as comfortable as I possibly can. [redacted] did not act ill at all as he would jump, play and interact with me and the other guests as he has done in all his previous stays with me. I would maybe suggest that if her dog was so sick then maybe he should have been kenneled at a veterinarian.  [redacted] had told me how difficult it was for her to get [redacted] to eat with him being on 8 pills a day and a prescription dog food. To put him in a kennel is not only asking a lot of [redacted] but also the kennel.  I did my very best and did everything plus more than [redacted] asked of me. As I stated to [redacted] when she picked [redacted] up I would no longer be able to board [redacted].  I am very happy to know that she has other alternatives.  I am sorry this didn't work out for either of us. Sincerely, Yvette
