SANEAL Calgary SELLING DISCONTINUED/FAULTY CAMERAS ! I have purchased a Polaroid Solcialmatic instant camera from the SANEAL store (Market Mall - Calgary) in December Within days, I had to return it as it was not holding charge months down the road, I realize the replacement camera displays the exact same issue (battery not holding charge) Decided to call Polaroid to inquire, and realized the model had actually been discontinued back in September for that exact same malfunction ! Called SANEAL head office in Calgary, explaining the entire matter, and expecting a proposal to resolve the issue, since as a distributor they did not advise me as a customer of the product defect (twice in my case !) I was then told that they did not consider there was any wrong doing ; that as far as they are concerned they are not liable for getting manufacturer information after release, nor passing them on to their customer ; and that all they could do was advise me to take the matter with Polaroid ! As far as I am aware, SANEAL is in fact still selling this model in store and on their website !? I fail to understand how a business even though acting as an approved distributor/reseller of a certain brand, does not accept the liabilities that should naturally derive from the fact that they are accepting the commercial transaction when selling the product Furthermore, it has become obvious to me that SANEAL Calgary has no interest in defending its customer's interest ; and this experience has breached any confidence I would have in doing business with SANEAL Cameras in the future

Horrible experience, staff wasn't welcoming, manager was on the computer ignoring the questions that his sales rep was asking him, never acknowledged us, he eventually answered them, we where supposed to get a phone call back within hour of taking some passport picturesMy wife went back to see if her pictures where ready and the sales clerk didn't look at her and answered NO! She asked for an explanation, she said that the software that uploads pictures is malfunctioning and she will try again in hours, ask her to come back later, NICE! we wasted 1:of our time waiting, they could not refund our money without contacting the owner of the store so more time waisted waiting for a refund
Why did the sales associate not contact us with this issue? Why did she ignore my wife when she came back? How come the manager didn't get involved with an apology at least?

I am extremely disappointed at how my wife was treated at the Saneal Camera location in Southcenter mall We had an issue with a camera and brought it in under warranty, which was resolved but the sales associate that provided service in store was extremely rude and condescending to her I can only hope that another customer that has limited camera knowledge does not get treated the same way and that they will take the time to educate them instead of being rude

Buying a camera from Saneal was a nightmare!!!
Bought a brand new Dslr and when I got it home I discovered it was Draining the battery abnormally quick.
When I returned the camera two days later they said they would have to send it in for warranty repair and could take 8 weeks. Obviously the return policy they post on there wall isn't worth the paper its printed on. Buy your gear from a reputable dealer.
There is a reason all the reviews here are negative!!

I recently went into one of the Saneal Camera Store locations to purchase a cable so I could charge the batteries for a camera I had gotten from a friend. The sales representative told me they didn't have a cable, but recommended an $ 80.00 travel charger that he promised would work, It was a bit more that I had wanted to pay, but the charger came with a European adapter and since I was planning a trip to Europe I bought it. As it turned out this charger did not charge my camera batteries. I took it back to the store, but since I didn't have the original sales receipt the store manager plain refused to give me a refund, although I did have my visa receipt, which gives the store location, the date, the amount I spent and anything else one could probably want to know. I drove back home and wrote a letter of complaint to head office. They told me the problem probably didn't lie with their charger, but they did send me a copy of the original receipt and told me to bring the camera back into the store. I don't live in Calgary, but I made another trip into town to get my refund. Instead they cleaned my batteries and plugged them into their store charger to see if they would charge - and they did. After they promised me that the charger I had purchased would now work I went home and tried to charge my batteries again - still no success. Head office was very condescending - they did offer me a refund, finally, but out of goodwill, not because there was anything wrong with their product. So I told them I would get a different charger and see if it charged my batteries. They responded by back pedaling and saying that sometimes it takes some time to trouble shoot. Yeah well - I bought another charger and wouldn't you know it - it charges both my batteries just fine. So I made yet another trip into town. I did finally get my refund, but the manager would still not acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the charger. I was treated very abruptly, to the point where they wouldn't even allow me to finish my sentences, and they made it very clear that they didn't think I deserved this refund. I guess to them I'm just a silly woman who doesn't know how to charge a battery.
I work in the customer service industry. We try our best to make the customer happy, because a happy customer is a returning customer. This is positively the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced and I will certainly never set foot into any Saneal Camera Store again. This refund has cost me about 6 hours of driving time, plus the gas, plus the emotional upset. My rating is a blazing F!

Black Friday Deal at Saneal today! Nikon D750 for 2,299!!! It's been 2,199 in their store for quite some time now (2,499 online). Yes, I have been saving pennies for it and literally have been checking daily online, and in person just about weekly. When I asked them in person if it was an error in their flyer that the camera was ON SALE for $100 more, they laughed and didn't respond. I posted the same question on facebook, nicely. They deleted my comment. Twice. They are doing fake sales. So sick of companies taking advantage of customers. Just don't buy it there. Go to the [redacted] the camera is cheaper regularly anyways, and you get a much better customer service. They don't laugh in your face when you ask a question, in person or on facebook.
