We brought the vehicle in for a gear change and new bearings which would mean rebuildingThe fluid was checked three times front and rear every miles and pictures were sent, called Jennifer and she verbally confirmedJennifer also stated at the counter that the front was not that critical due to that fact that it is not always turning. So the first time the vehicle was put into four wheel drive while out scouting about miles in the front differential locked up.Mrw [redacted] was called after we found out that it was the pinion that they installed, all he offered was to have us ship the front diff back to phoenix so he could look at it, while we pay for labor, shipping and a rental for however long. When I tried to call and discuss this matter times I was always put on hold and no one ever came back.We needed this vehicle back on the road.Bottom line is the whole housing was ruined and all internal parts had to be replaced, which were all replaced by MrW [redacted] Yes I do own a repair facility and we go out of our way to make things right from rental cars to even rides to the airport because things happen in this businessBefore we had this issue we brought another vehicle to MrW [redacted] in August to have the front differential rebuilt and on the way back less that miles it started to shake bad, come to find out that the front tires were left loose, and when I called all thay could say was sorry not asking if I was going to have replace any studs or nuts.Seems like they just get your money and your on your own after that

[redacted] had brought his VW into our shop because he claims to be a mechanic, but does not understand VW'sHe also claims to be on the city council and have many friends in other states that are expert mechanicsAt the same time [redacted] likes to be in control and interrupt your work on an hourly basis by phone and in personHe had performed some work on this vehicle prior to bringing it to us and even after we repaired some of the work needed, he continued to make his own repairs. He had a budget income and only wanted some of the repairs completed, when we recommended further repairs the first timeWe had replaced the vacuum hoses that were dried and cracked along with the spark plugs that were damagedWith VW's you need to replace the cheap items first and work your way through the motor as you test for bad parts [redacted] likes to be in control of every step and argue each findEven when we made recommendations he wanted to make his own repairs and then bring it back againHe finally asked for a refund and we paid him his last diagnosis in full! This was if he agreed to be happy and find another mechanicWe agreed and we parted ways.If we charged him for all the documents that we had to read and all the online recommendations he gave us to keep him happy the bill would be over $1, I thought we treated him very well and ignored his insulting and controlling behavior very wellWe even paid him to go away and be happy, and we can see how well this agreement worked out?He has received his financial amount to make him happy and he should keep up his agreement and let it go!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The personal attacks and rants by the business owner of Canyon County Towing and Recovery in their defense of this matter are irrelevant and belittling of their business Consumers need to believe that they can trust a repair shop to fix their automobile When an auto center center says that your car is fixed and ready, then we should expect just that Regardless of their claims, my car left their shop with the same problem as it had before I brought it there Be cautious with this repair shop and make sure you’re completely confident that the repairs have been made before paying them any moneyRegards, [redacted]

My apologies on not responding faster, but my e-mail had issuesI just received this complaint today*** *** contacted us after he made a complaint with the Revdex.comIf he had waited until he contacted us this would not even have been filed
First off, we use new modern tow trucks to tow
vehiclesThis vehicle was loaded back wards on to a flat bed truck, where frame hooks were used to pull it up on the bedAfter loaded we used flat 2” nylon straps to secure the vehicle by placing the straps over the top of each wheelThis type of towing or any type of towing would never connect anywhere near the upper brake hose
*** *** did make contact with us and we towing it into our shop and inspected the vehicleWe took pictures that are includedThe right front upper brake hose had two separate brakes cause by use and lack of serviceThe brake fluid has been spraying all over the frame and lower control arm over a period of years
Looking at the Left side you can see where there is no sign of long-term brake fluid damage to the lower control arm and area around it
*** *** viewed the area while we had it on the lift and agreedHe even had our shop perform the repair workThis vehicle also needs a great deal of maintenance and repair work which we recommend, but the customer does not have the money to make any further repairs at this time
I feel this is a case of jumping the gun with placing blame and rather than working with the business, using the Revdex.com to voice his anger and misunderstanding

Since it was years ago, could you please provide us with the following information? Please prove the date and timeVehicle description.Where the accident was located and where was the vehicle towed to.Name of the person who was with the car. Also, just to note: All police agencies have switched over
to digital frequencies where we do not have the capability of listening in on scanners. The sheriff has a strict rule where if we were to show up on any police tow without being able to show that we were contacted by a vehicle owner or police dispatch , we would be suspended from the rotation. We will await your information to proceed.Merry Christmas

I will begin by saying most of this complaint is a fabrication!! The vehicle was brought in here for an upgrade, not a rebuild and I will not defend against the liesBut to say there is a mile oil check required with these type of upgradesI have included a copy of this, as it was
given to the client, MrH*** His son Ben admitted to me that they never checked the oil in the front differentialThis job was done in July, lubrication issues like this don't take place months later, they happen immediately, less than a hundred milesThis is not Arizona Differential's responsibility, yet I was willing to work with Mrh***, build a unit or send his parts and was never given the chance! He simply took his vehicle to a repair facility, paid full price and expected me to pay for the repair, which is surprising since MrHusband runs an auto shop himself in Phoenix and knows the polocies involved in out of state repairs!! You are hearing from him simply because he didn't follow directions and we won't payIt will not change the outcome from us!Owner/OperatorWNate W***

We were called out to an accident on 11/12/around 9:pm by canyon county sheriff and where told a vehicle drove off the road into a fenceWe dispatched a recovery wrecker tow truck to meet the call criteria and where on scene in 30minThe customer called dispatch upon arrival and asked if she
owed anything for us not to tow the vehicleWe said through our contract rates with the sheriff office we charge a 1hr minimum which is $She then asked how much it would be to tow and store the vehicleShe was told an additional $a day storage, $a mile and $per hr.She advised us to continue with our workThe driver approached the vehicle and started the recoveryOnce we had recovered the vehicle from the ditch, we discovered three flat tiresWe then had to call out a car carrier so we could transport the vehicle safely and securelySince the car carrier was called out it was $per hr for that truck alsoWe only charged 1hr per truck which totaled out to $The car carrier could not recover the vehicle and the Wreaker could not transport the vehicle so both trucks were neededThey picked up the vehicle on 11/13/so we charged day of storage, $For mileage at 17miles so the total was $for mileageAll together it was $plus a 3% credit charge since the fees where paid by a credit card There will be no refund for the amount charged because we did nothing wrongWe have an approved contract rate that we must follow and we charged these rates that we can not change just because people do not have insurance or do not want to pay the costs for a towTell us why here...Ironically, this person is not the owner of the vehicle and she is married to a volunteer firefighter with a rural area in Idaho that we have supplied vehicles to use for extraction trainingWe donate these vehicles at a cost of at least $to us and we have to make money to stay in business so that we can keep supporting area programs like thisAny company would have charged the same price because it is the contracted rate!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The owner's rant is not related to my complaint.  Yes, in deed the second bill was refunded, but not the initial bill.  This matter is very simple: a customer brings their car to an auto repair facility for repairs.  The repair shop says they are competent and can do the repairs.  The repairs are allegedly done and the customer is told to pick up their car. The customer believes the owner of the business and assumes the car has been fixed and pays the bill.  Instead, as in my situation the repairs were NOT done.  Therefore, it is logical to assume that the repair shop should refund the total of the bill less parts and refer the customer to a shop that is more competent. In summary, this matter has not been resolved and it is reasonable to assume that a full refund should be made (less parts).Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:They don't get that as soon as we notarized the title we are no longer owners of the vehicle.

The personal attacks and rants by the business owner of Canyon County Towing and Recovery in their defense of this matter are irrelevant and belittling of their business.  Consumers need to believe that they can trust a repair shop to fix their automobile.  When an auto center center says that your car is fixed and ready, then we should expect just that.  Regardless of their claims, my car left their shop with the same problem as it had before I brought it there.  Be cautious with this repair shop and make sure you’re completely confident that the repairs have been made before paying them any money. Regards,[redacted]

As the complainant has finally advised us of a name, it appears they need to provide the motor vehicle department with this info so they can provide us with an official updated copy so that we may legally move forward.  The problem appears to be with the motor vehicle department and the so called friend they just told us about. Please advise them to follow through on this and then I can change our collection information.

This vehicle was an abandoned vehicle in the state of Idaho that had Montana Plates. It was a 1995 Buick Riviera. We had to contact the state of Montana to locate the legal owners through their data base, per Idaho State Law. We then had to contact the legal owners of record through certified mail,...

per Idaho state law.It is the responsibility of a vehicle owner to notify the department of motor vehicles when a vehicle has be sold and to notify the name of the people whom you sold the vehicle to, incase something like this may happen.I have asked these people to supply me with the name or names of the people they allegedly, sold the vehicle to, but they have no idea. The letter from the credit union means nothing, as does any release of liability without the names of the people that allegedly purchased the vehicle. We attempt to give everyone a chance to pay their bills and out of state information takes longer than most, but we did not charge for the extra time or this bill would be a lot more at $40 per day for storage. Our laws dictate that when collecting a bill, there must be documents showing a trail of vehicle ownership, where in this case the only legal paperwork identifies these people as the owners. I would like to work with these people, but instead of them providing me with the information that I need they have just threatened us with civil court and now with the Revdex.com. I have always been told to take responsibility and cover my back side with documentation. In this case neither of this exists.

As a chairperson for the city of Caldwell you would believe that this individual would support small businesses instead of acting like so many of the people that take advantage of small businesses with unrealistic claims and then uses and flaunts his position to bully family owned businesses. His vehicle was brought in to a competent repair shop to make repairs. We located and found repairs that needed attention and charged him for these repairs that fixed those problems. Vehicle was towed in because it did not run. $65 paid for the towDiagnosis was $75 for one hour where we identified the fuel issue, hose leaks, plug issues, and exhaust issues The tune up cover the cost of the parts and the labor along with carb cleaner which was needed and made vehicle run much better. We advised him that further diagnosis was needed, but he did not want to pay more money. We advised him to replace the exhaust gasket, but he wanted to do this.He then came in with several pages of diagnostics that he got from the internet and we advised him of an hourly charge and we charged him for that work.He then wanted a full refund for the hourly work we did per his instruction, which I felt was very unethical, but he used his position to bully us claiming he knew a lot of people in his position.  I asked him if I gave him a refund on this last work if he would be happy and go away never to return and not cause any issues.Well, you can see how his ethics are because here I am responding to a person that made a verbal agreement for money in return. This individual appears to have no ethics and will never be happy. I already met his demands and now understand why the U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists. It is because their word is no good and they will always come back for more money.  I feel I already met his original needs and extortion, and he needs to honor his original agreement with us as a supportive and honest community leader!
