The Adult dog we sold to the [redacted] was a nearly 3 year old female.  She is a family friendly miniature sized dog that was well loved by our family.  All adult dogs need time to adjust when moving to new homes. The [redacted] did not allow for this adjustment period, nor did they keep the dog secure in their home.  They lost the dog as soon as they brought her into their home. As their email to us stated: "Monet ran away within minutes of arriving home through a small crack in the door. "
She was afraid in this new environment and of them chasing after her.  They made her more fearful with their inability to secure her in their home.   A dog coming from a family to a new family needs to be secured in a home or yard.  We included a crate, as well as a collar and leash, with the dog, so that they could keep her secured as they got to know her.  They did not use the crate as a safe place, nor did they secure her with the collar and leash.  We instructed them that they would need to keep her leashed for a few days, even in their back yard when going potty.
She was clearly afraid of the new environment, and rather than providing her with a secure and loving environment, giving their new dog a couple of weeks to adjust, they lost her, and then created an even more fearful environment by chasing her down.  She was running through their neighborhood for a week, before being "captured" in a frightening way. We also went to the neighborhood and looked for the dog during the week.
Once they had found the dog, they immediately asked for us to take her back.  We did not want to leave the dog in this unfriendly environment and offered a staggered refund based on us being able to re-sell the dog.

We have been on Maternity leave for 2 months and we had told the [redacted] there would be a delay in their refund at this time, because we had been unable to find a new home for the Adult dog that they had asked us to rehome for them.  In the meantime, they filed a complaint about us to the Revdex.com.

Review: Canyon Court Labradoodles sold us a dog that was not suitable for sale. I paid them $2500.00. They agreed to take back the dog and refund me the $1500.00 by mid April with the remainder to follow once they had resold the dog to someone else. They refused to pay me the $1500 April 24.Immediately following my notice to them that I was referring this to the Revdex.com they appear to have removed their web site. I downloaded copies of the website prior to my notice to them, fearing that they would remove the site.I have copies of the email exchanges surrounding this matter, including the one in which they stated they would refund the purchase price.Desired Settlement: I would like the total purchase price of the dog, $2500, including $377.13 deposit, paid February 26, refunded immediately.
