The WORST motel experience EVER! This "mom and pop" business is actually a "crazy and crazier" businessThey love to point to their "We reserve the right to refuse to serve you" sign predominantly displayed behind the counter and throw it in your face at the hint of a question or comment
I had already signed my Visa receipt when the "owner" decided she wasn't serving usShe was rude to my daughter who was just standing there with meand when I said I had read bad reviews about the staff being rude, she went ballisticShe refused to refund my money but all I wanted was to get away from her as soon as possible because she was so belligerentI told my daughter on the way out that I would have it taken off my credit card, and she screamed at me "They call that fraud!" I just kept walking she was too crazy to be reasonable!
I had it declined on my credit card and haven't heard that she's disputing it but she has two billing cycles to do soOf course, we didn't stay there so I don't see how she could dispute itWe didn't even get as far as getting a key to a room
I don't understand how this place does any business after seeing all the other bad reviews for "customer service" where other people have similar experiencesOf course, their website doesn't even allow customer reviews but they're on other sites

This hotel is possibly the worst place I've ever encountered, and we were only there for 30 minutes. We had some issues with out reservation between [redacted] and the hotel. The kind [redacted] agent had a foreign accent, and I could tell that when the Canyon Inn owners spoke to her, they were rude and racist (saying she didn't know "[redacted] from shinola"). When I went to straighten out the issues up at the front desk, the woman was rude, calling me a [redacted] it. Even when I apologized, she continued to belittle and demean me. There was a sign saying "we have the right to refuse service," which is basically code for "we are reject hillbies that are terrible people, we refuse to serve anyone we don't like (which probably means anyone of different races or sexual orientations--like in Indiana).
When we resolved to pack our bags and leave because this clearly wasn't working. The woman accosted me about the cleaning fee. I told her I would gladly pay it to get out of the place. She would only take cash, and I ran to my room upset telling my husband that he needed to get cash and we needed to grab our stuff and go. As we were quickly packing up, the woman called and told me she needed my drivers license because we were "fixin' to skip out" on them. That's when my husband went up to the front desk and the owner's husband got involved, again, these BUSINESS OWNERS were screaming obscenities.
Despite the "modern" remodel in the pictures, the place is trash. The owners are terrible human beings and no one should ever stay here. Put this place out of business.

Staying here was a horrendous experience. The owners of Canyon Inn are insulting, rude, ignorant, and unhelpful. They are unable to keep track of their paying customer's reservations and act like it is the customer's fault that their business-keeping is unorganized. The female owner treated me with a ludicrous amount of disrespect and raised her voice at me when she was unable to locate my reservation, and followed me out the doors to continue yelling at me. I am appalled by how terribly a business would treat their own paying customers. She and her husband refused to refund me after treating me terribly and expecting me to want to continue my stay with them.
