Complaint: [redacted] Banks was not present during this situation statements are slanderous but the tone and misguided content of Bank's letter speaks volumes about the customer service (or lack thereof) and business ethics practiced at Canyon Lake Trash I don't think there is anything anyone could or would say that would be more negatively insightful than his own letter It is hard to imagine that the owner of a business would refuse to return phone calls to a customer to settle a complaint and then resort to such bullying threats in a letter without knowing all the facts The only thing Banks needs to send me is a refund check that he admittedly owes per his own letter Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I was told by the secretary that I should get a trash can that Friday, I was not sure if I could put the trash out on the street I called during business hours( not during the lunch hour) and left a message because the phone was NOT answered My message was never returned, I called several more times during business hours and the phone was NOT answered I left messages that were never returned When I finally went into the office I was told by the secretary that she could not access the voicemails only the owner could The secretary conducted herself in a very unprofessional manner She threw a paper at me, insulted me as a person and as a parent She also stated that I was more than welcome to take them to small claims court and that are a lot of people that want to take them to small claims court I find it appalling for a business to be run this way, where not only does the secretary lie but so does the owner of the business My phone calls were never answered and my messages were never returned I called to make sure I was doing the right the thing with my trash but could never get a response

I am rejecting this response because:
The business is not focused on resolving the complaint, their answer was on why they were right and not on how to help an elderly woman who is hospitalized to solve her problem which is now very serious as she has received a citation for illegal dumping
History of trying to resolve
Yes I spoke to them on occasions, to explain the situation and put the account on temporary hold, The second time was to get a pick up of garbageApparently I didn't use the right words, but its clear what I need: to have the garbage picked up
They gave me the number of a heavy haul guy (its household garbage) and he did not return my calls either
Email: email is submitted through their websiteNo receipt is given
I understand they are running a business but they do not return calls left on answering service and the answer service was out of operation for about daysAfter I filed the complaint it is now back online

I have been calling daily since they opened and still no one picks upThis is not a way to run a business
Money owedThe Revdex.com form did not have an option to put in no moneyHowever, the first time I talked to Canyon Lake Garbage they told me my mother had a month creditThis is my estimate of that amount since I do not receive a bill and they are not available to ask more details
On Friday we got a citation from *** Country Engineers Office for Illegal Dumping due to the garbage being in front of the homeI have no choice but to tell them the charges should be filed against Canyon Lake Garbage
Desired Resolution
All I want is for the garbage to be picked up and when we have garbage to be able to tell CLG to pick it upIf you need my authorization to take the account off HOLD to do this, please do, however please put it back on
Since I was not getting any response from CLG, I called the CHamber of Commerce to see if they knew of another way to contact them or if they were members and I could talk to the ownersThey told of they had numerous complaints and actually recommended another company to pick up the garbageIf I have to do that to resolve the criminal complaint, I will be asking for those funds as well as the month credit

I have been a customer of this trash company since the [redacted]'s owned it for years— great service no problems. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 1330 in the afternoon I experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. They took my money (billed me three mos. In advance) then played cat and mouse with picking up my trash. They claimed the trash was not out when they came by. When I pursued the matter further I was met with the rudest most irrational customer service ever experienced in my life. Here's some of the verbal exchange: I was told it was "too late for them to pick up my garbage to bring it to their location myself or forget it". I asked to speak to the [redacted] and was told "they were on vacation....oh wait no... they are at a doctor appointment...." couldn't seem to get their story straight. I was refused any access to the manager. I even offered my information so the manager could call me and was refused. I was told "they don't have to put up with behavior like mine and advised me to find someone else to pick up my trash". I then asked for a refund of the 3 months I paid in advance since they no longer would "put up with me" and was told "they couldn't do that either'. When I arrived to drop off my trash as they told me to do, they had called the Canyon Lake Police anticipating some kind of confrontation. As 1 began unloading trash out of the trunk and backseat of my car, the cops approached and asked if I was going to leave the trash in the parking lot. I said no but that I was quickly taking it out of my car because it was stinking up the car. I immediately asked the [redacted] rude girl (she wouldn't give her name) where she wanted me to put the trash and she acted oblivious mumbling and giving some erratic senseless hand directions. I made it a point to let her and the rude guy with her know that they would be losing a lot of business because of their rude behavior demonstrated during this incident. I explained to her that I am very involved with my neighborhood association and other community groups including the chamber of commerce and will take every opportunity to spare others of this disrespectful unacceptable "customer service" or lack thereof that I endured today. She puffed up and retreated into the business office. Based on my conversation with the cops, they recognized this immature ill-managed waste of time for what it was stating, "her word against mine", and verbalized no further concerns.
Summary: Although your customer service is severely lacking or evidently non-existent, your business ethic is extremely problematic in that it is unacceptable to bill and collect money in advance and then not provide the service. For example: Your rude guy stated, "find someone else to pick up your trash" which is what I have done. Your rude girl instructed me to, "pick up my garbage to bring it to their location myself or forget it" which I did. You've provided no service and need to reimburse me for the advance payment of $72. In the absence of your immediate response and reimbursement this information will be provided to appropriate authorities for further investigations.

We received your complaint dated May 14, 2013. I am sure you meant to say 2014. We purchased this trash business 3 years ago with only 700 customers. We now have over 1200 customers around the lake. You are the first complaint we have received, so this means you have been our customer 3 years with no complaints.
It must have been a confusing day for you; your complaint does not represent the facts.
First of all, you telephoned Wednesday, May 14, 2014 around 1:00 p.m. complaining your trash had not been picked up. We checked our records and found our driver was at your house at 9:00 a.m. and there was no trash. Our rules require you are to have your trash out by 7:00 a.m. and our receptionist stated you told her you did not have your trash out because that was too early and we would have to come back and pick up your trash. Our receptionist told you we could not make the second trip to your house but you could drop your trash at the office and we would disburse of it for you. You then began to scream you demanded an immediate refund and stated you would bring your trash to our office and disburse it all over our yard. Our receptionist then telephoned the local law enforcement officers of Comal County who were here when you arrived and asked you what you intended to do with the garbage. There is a fine of $500.00 for throwing trash anywhere in Comal County. You would have been arrested had you carried out your threat.
You have also threatened to contact Neighborhood Associations and other Community Groups including the Chamber of Commerce.
I will personally notify you of any statement of slander made against us by you and it will be carried out to the fullest extent of our laws. We are also a paying member of the Chamber of Commerce and I will keep a close watch.

I am rejecting this response because: the trash was never picked up. The response from this business is/was incorrect. Trash sat on the curb until I disposed of it myself. I have since had to switch to another service even though I am still under contract with this company. These individuals are as unprofessional as they come.
