Abused Puppy w/ Health Issues
Canyon Meadows is a puppy mill. We paid $3k for a puppy who is extremely fearful with extreme social anxiety. We suspected that she was abused and our vet agrees. The puppy also has issues with her eyes and teeth. Other reviewers mention hip and kidney issues. It was very easy to connect with Katrina as she was selling the pups and taking our money. They only accept a payment platform that offers no refunds and no recourse. Getting an answer from Katrina about the history of this dog is impossible. The pup is very sweet and we love her We don’t want a refund at this point. We would simply like more info about her history. Most importantly, we’d like this breeder to change their protocols or discontinue raising pups altogether.

Thank you so much for the heads up. I was wondering why they are selling all there adult dogs so way over priced for too. The lady is rude as you know what too when you email her. Make sure that you post all of this about this breeder to Golden Retriever Forum and https://www.ripoffreport.com/ about this breeder. Once on there it stays for good too.

Puppies aren't adequately socialized and the breeder isn't very careful about breeding practices. The dogs here aren't particularly healthy and the genes aren't particularly great for family pets. Stay away. This is essentially a puppy mill that mass produces hundreds of dogs. They won't take you to see the entire operation. Sketchy!

Awesome Information you have shared. I notice that she has so may responses to only 1 compliant. Lol! She is trying to type her way out of it with excuses. She needs to be shut down. Make sure that you post this about this breeder on Golden Retriever Forum and on https://www.ripoffreport.com/ Once on there it stays for good too.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Ms. S[redacted]'s response is filled with lies and totally missing the point. As a result, I am filing a small claims case against her and her husband. She can solicit all the letters and emails she wants, but she fails to answer the issue. In her deception, she tries to get you to look at other matters that are not relevant to this case.I asked for vet records at the time of purchase. All she gave me was the recent spay records. She won't hand over the records because they will indicate that she is a puppy mill and these dogs were kennel dogs, living in kennels and not the bucolic picture she paints. When we arrived, the dogs were afraid of her.She is lying about English Crème golden retrievers as well. These dogs didn't spend much time with her family and it shows. When we brought them home they were withdrawn, frightened and nearly catatonic. It was why I got them to my vet asap. I have attached my vet's experienced opinion. Ms. S[redacted] wants you to look at the shiny object rather than look in the weeds at her practices. I have much more documentation that I plan to present in small claims court about her family operations and treatment of her dogs, including people who worked for her and numerous complaints about her dogs. This was a business deal. She told me these dogs were in good health and just needed time to adjust. These dogs were sick, neglected and part of a puppy mill operation. She charged me $600 for near-senior dogs with major health and mental issues. I want my money returned. She lied. [redacted]
