On March 14th this customer came to our dealership interested in our 2006 Dodge Ram. He asked if he could take it to his mechanic, which we said was not a problem. He did and returned with a list of things his mechanic found. He then stated to me and my salesman that he was fine with everything...

except for a couple of things he wanted addressed. We then sent the truck to our mechanic at which time those items he wanted addressed were fixed.  He returned on March 15th and was completely satisfied  with what was fixed. He also purchased an extended service contract at the time the deal was done. A few days later he mentioned there was something wrong with the truck. We told him to take it to our mechanic which was around March 17th. He never showed up and never contacted us again until May 26th. On May 24th a family member who was also on the deal with him came to our dealership trying to trade the vehicle back in. The family member said the person who made this complaint had left the family and had been gone for around 2 months on a "drug binge." Then on May 26th he suddenly called our salesperson Ricky and demanded we fix more things or he was getting a lawyer. At that point I again instructed him to go to our mechanic and use his extended warranty. He did at that time go to our mechanic and our mechanic called me and said this person was threatening lawyers and also was very noticeably on drugs. Our mechanic refused to work with this customer in his state of mind. This customer has an extended warranty and can take the truck to any repair shop he chooses. Again, we fixed the issues he originally requested at the time the deal was done.

We bought a Ford pickup from Greg at Canyon State Auto and Bob our salesman was easy to deal with and honest from the start and subsequently that honesty really shined through when after a few days of driving we found a rear axle issue with the truck and to our surprise Bob and Greg offered to help us out with the costs to repair. You don't find that very often these days.Highly recommend this business to others looking for a trustworthy buying experience.

I am very impressed by how Canyon State Auto does business. I just bought a 2011 silverado. The vehicle is great just like they said. They had A LOT of pictures compared to other dealerships. Also any time that I had questions or concerns I could give [redacted] a call and he would get back to me almost immediately. Customer service was outstanding!!! I would refer these guys to anyone looking for a nice truck. It sucks seeing one bad review from one sour apple about these guys, but the bad review was about a dodge. All I can say is you should've bought a Chevy. Two thumbs Up!!!

Review: I purchased a used car (2007 Subaru Outback) from Canyon State Auto in March 2014. The salesman's name is [redacted]. When I purchased the car I was told by [redacted] (and this is the specific example he gave), that "if the brakes are below 50 of wear, that they will be replaced" as part of their guarantee on working parts. However, in July 2014, [redacted] auto body shop in Chandler, AZ, told me that the brakes (both the front and rear brake pads, and the rotors) were completely worn out and needed to be replaced. They also told me that there is no possible way that Canyon State Auto adhered to their guarantee of replacing items with more than 50 percent of wear. Additionally, the alternator had to be replaced (which I already paid [redacted] $450 for the service), and the rear and front axles need to be replaced. The rear axle is cracked and leaking grease, according to [redacted]Desired Settlement: I'd like Canyon State Auto to honor their guarantee that all parts - especially the brakes - are in proper working order and above the 50 percent threshold as promised on two occasions. The second promise was made by [redacted] when I informed him of the brake and axle issues at the business location on Friday, August 1, 2014. It has now been 10 days with no response from the dealership.

I actually felt with the Mesa location. [redacted] was probably the best salesman I've felt with in a long time. He didn't try to "sell" us on the vehicle and gave us plenty of room to look it over. After we reached a deal (fair for trade in and price of vehicle) I called them a couple of days later and let them know that the fuel gauge was inop and always faultering. I suspected it was the sending unit ($700) and even though I didn't buy an extended warranty or have it fall under lemon laws, these guys still took care of it for me. They know the value of a good reputation and they will be receiving all the business I can send their way because of how they handled it
