She had also signed a surgical permit for a spay and anesthesia. She was given her copy of the estimate as we kept the signed authorization. Once anesthetized we discovered that her rabbit was a male and not a female. She thought she should get a discount because it was a castration not a spay. Rabbit castration or spay is the same price. I had remarked to my staff that we should raise the price for Spay/Neuter on exotics $100.00 and unfortunately staff applied the $100.00 to her bill and she was upset - The error was corrected immediately during the check out process, She paid $203.44 exactly the estimate amount.
