I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Unfortunately not all of the information in the response from Canyonside Irwin Realty was accurate It is true that I was informed that there would be a background check, but I was not told that my felony would automatically disqualify me from being approved In fact before filling out the applications I asked if I would receive a refund if may parole officer did not approve of the new address They said that I would receive a refund if that happened To the best of my knowledge misdemeanors will get probation but only felonies will cause somebody to be on parole, and I clearly identified that I was on parole When I tried to tell them about the exact charge on my background they said that they don't want the details and that it will come up in the background check They did not warn any of us that a felony would fail my application, and if we had any indication of that we would not have payed for the applications Which is where I think the business is in the wrong, and should refund the $for our applications and not just the security deposit that I put down Regardless of which story anybody believes the fact is that I am a dissatisfied customer of Canyonside Irwin Realty who feels like he has been lied to, cheated, and taken advantage of I would like them to care enough about the people they do business with to do something to fix a problem or dispute like this, so that people like me don't feel taken advantage of

In reference to complaint ID# *** we apply the same screening requirements for all applicants, we explain to each applicant before they fill out an application that we run a background, criminal and credit check on each applicant over the age of that will be living at the property and the
cost is a non-refundable $per applicantthis is clearly stated on the bottom of the application under authorization to release consumer informationEach applicant is required to fill out and sign our applicationAs far as his inquiry as to whether his criminal history would disqualify him, we let every applicant know before they fill out an application that if they have a felony it would come back as an automatic fail and at that point *** chose not to disclose his felony backgroundDue to the nature of *** *** criminal background and credit history Residential Research failed his application*** girlfriend (*** ***) was the one who became confrontational and I ended up escorting all four applicants out the front door of our office building
