*** They call numbers and harass people that have nothing to do with the account they are collecting onI had to have all of their numbers blocked by my phone company, because the person they are looking for no longer has the number they are callingIt's mine and I don't owe anyone money When told this twice, they just hang up and call back a few days later, several times a day
CBV Collections, you should be ashamed of such practicesI'm sure these tactics don't work in the long run A little good customer service goes a long way Look into it and stop harassing people

*WITHOUT PREJUDICE*
CBV Collections started contacting me in summer 2016 about an alleged debt owed from 2010. After months of rejecting their calls, I wrote them a registered letter stating I disputed the debt and to take the matter to court. Included in the letter I stated that pursuant to the Ontario Collection & Debt Settlement Services act [redacted] to stop contacting me. The calls kept coming in. I answered one call afterwards and I stated multiple times they were in violation of [redacted], they said they didn't care, and that the calls would keep coming (which they did), until I quickly filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario. The investigation is still underway, but at least I got the phone calls to stop. Hopefully their background and Revdex.com complaints will net them large fines. For anyone getting harassed by them, know the law. Especially the statute of limitations on your alleged debt, as well as consumer protection laws which protect you against harassment from companies like this, regardless of if they think they have the right person or not. If you dispute the debt, tell them to take the matter to court, to stop contacting you, and according to most consumer protection laws they must stop.

This company initially texted my cell phone asking for immediate contact regarding a debt with [redacted]. After ignoring several of their texts I eventually received a phone call (800 number) and was asked if they could speak to my wife (calling my phone number and she has not changed her last name). I said she was currently unavailable but wanted to know why a collection company was calling my number. The lady on the phone explained that my wife (to this point I have not mentioned she was my wife) has an unpaid debt owed to [redacted] from 2005 and that she needs to call immediately. Confidential information of that nature would never be given out to an unidentified person over the phone.

My wife does not have a debt or collection owed to [redacted] which can be verified by credit checks we do on a regular basis considering we invest heavily in real estate. What I would like to know is how a business with such negative reviews and such outrageous complaints is allowed to practice business services in Canada without penalty. [redacted] In addition...how has there not been any legal action to this point.

My wife and I have decided to investigate further...

I have repeatedly asked them to remove our phone number from their computer system. They have been calling at all hours for a year now trying to reach another member of the family that has not lived here for over a year. When I ask them to stop calling they say they will call back. I am not sure how to get them to stop harassing us. They have the other person's personal number. I have asked them to record the call and to note this on their files. I have even asked for a supervisor to no avail
