Review: Ordered mailbox post. Wrong top installed, mailbox not safely screwed on post, post split and when top corrected not painted Comp not prompt to fix.

We ordered a mailbox post (5x5) in white with a flat top (same as our lamppost). Indicated at store the top. Key issues are twofold, then company needs to fully fix the post and paint the top white, ensure the post is not too split (other neighbors who have the same post from years ago do not have the severe splitting in both post and on arm that holds mailbox). In addition when the mailbox was screwed in the screws did not make it into the wood, one is beside the arm holding the mailbox and another is not fully screwed inside mailbox, meaning a potential cut hand.

The other item is communication, even having sent photos and communicated in writing, the company is zero proactive to reach out and schedule service, it is us calling to ask and then no commitment to a date or time - rather general responses (when the rain stops, when we can get there).

Probably the most un customer friendly company have run into thus far in CT, it is like the company doesn't want business or is trying to avoid sales. We started with a mailbox and now want to move to an arbor and outbuildingm but given this experience would avoid this business at all costs, they are not serious. Desired Settlement: Want the post fixed, properly installed mailbox and communication that the post is indeed cedar wood that is not too split to last the number of years it should. In addition, a clear communication with dates and times to fix/ ensure it is installed.

Painting has been completed. We were unable to do it because of the poor weather.
