In February of 2020 I registered for a week long course at the Cape Learning Network/Cape Cod Institute scheduled to take place from August 3-8 2020. I paid the full cost of the training at this time ($625).
Obviously due to the pandemic this training could not be held in person. Cape Learning Network sent an e-mail in the spring announcing that they were canceling the entire season, would not offer a virtual option and also "could not" refund any of our payments as they had already been spent. They promised to get back to all attendees with future opportunities to use the credit for another training or to attend some other kind of workshop. After several months of silence I checked their website and found that they had shut down entirely. They still have my $625 and presumably the tuition of everyone else who registered for a 2020 course. I have not been notified of any official bankruptcy.
