HiThe customer did not want to ride on the carriage as he did not like the appearance of the driver. He was given a full refund. He was not being punished like he claims. The original driver scheduled for that carriage had gotten sick and the person driving filled in at the last min in order to not...

have to refund the rides that had already been booked. They had to rearrange the entire schedule to accommodate everyone & everyone else was happy to just get the ride as well as a fabulous tour...even though the person driving had just spent all day working in the barn then jumped on a carriage and drove all night. Sorry, but we are not going to give a "free" ride. He chose not to go and he got a full refund and his ride was quickly bought up by an appreciative family!

Review: My wife and I went to Cape May for our Anniversary on 8/19/15 and also because she will be deployed to Iraq in a couple of weeks. We planned for the carriage ride around town for our anniversary. We purchased the ride in person at aprox. 5:30pm. The lady said the ride was at 6:10pm. She said to return 10 min. prior. We returned 15 min prior. I showed her the ticket. She looked at it and said OK. We then waited. She placed several groups that came after us on the carriages. At 25 minutes after 6 I asked how much longer it would be. She said someone else wrote the wrong time for my ride. I know this was a lie because it was her we bought the ticket from. She wrote the time. After that she still placed other people ahead of us. Other carriages then arrived but she did not place us in any of them. She waited for and went to the very last carriage which had a driver which appeared disheveled, with her hair up in a mess and an old dirty t-shirt. I told her this was unacceptable to us. We are on our anniversary. She was punishing us further for her mistake. Why couldn't we ride one of the carriages in the front of the line with more presentable drivers? She then said we were harassing her. She returned our $ and did not allow us to ride the carriage. She was very unprofessional and rude. She never made any attempt to apologize for her mistake.Desired Settlement: An apology from the business. Some type of reprimand or discipline to the worker. Complimentary carriage ride at time or our choosing.

I am rejecting this response because: Everything said in this response is either 1) false or 2) does not really concern us or this complaint. We did not refuse a ride. We refused to get in the last carriage that arrived with the disheveled driver. Whether she worked all night in a barn is not our concern. That's your concern. My complaint is simply this. We paid to ride a carriage at a certain time set by the company. We arrived at this location at the instructed time set by the company. We were skipped by the company. We waited patiently for our ride. Plenty of other carriages were parked there awaiting passengers to board. The lady at the booth blamed a fictitious person for her error instead of apologizing and accepting responsibility. She was rude and unprofessional. The company's response still does not justify why she attempted to place us in the rear carriage with the disheveled driver when there were clearly other carriages ahead of her awaiting passengers and we were clearly there the longest waiting to ride due to the lady's (Company's) error. At this point, reading how this company tries to justify its actions it seems more important to me, now , to get to word out to others who view Revdex.com and the other agencies I wrote to, of the low character of the proprietors of this carriage business.
