Capital Accounts Reviews (6)

When I called Capital Accounts today and spoke with [redacted] twice, he accused me of lying and asked if I wanted to "amend my statement" regarding repeated attempts to be taken off their fax list! I do not know exactly when I called asking to be removed but I am pretty sure today was my third attempt at this requestI told them that continuing to fax me was what I considered harassmentThen I simply asked if they would remove me from the list and that was all I was requestingHe told me we were done and that he had no further business with meHe hung up on me twice I do not think my request was unreasonable and I had asked nicely before and now I was just wanting them to do it! Their business is: Capital Accounts, P.OBox XXXXXX, Nashville, TN XXXXX and their numbers are: Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX and Fax: XXX-XXX-XXXX and the name on the fax as a representative of the company is [redacted]

I received my first letter from Capital Accounts on May 6, desiring an "amicable resolution" in regard to my debt Before I could respond, my daughter who lives with me, received a phone call when I was not home from a verbally abusive man asking for me When she told him I wasn't homehe asked her why I was living in her house She believed he thought she was lying Then on May on a Saturday I received a phone call from him on my cell I had gone to the lake with friends, I was on their pier, had a beach bag with only my cell, a few dollars, and some towels He wanted me to arrange a payment plan using my credit card When I told him I hoped he was legitimate and he assured me that he was and he already knew my social security numberWhen I told him I had nothing with me, no papers, or my purse he accused me of lying "What woman goes anywhere without their purse?" He said I was being stubborn and he would wait for me to go get my purse He kept repeating this to me over and over again while my friends listened to my end of the conversation I became angry and told him I was going to call the doctor to whom I owed the debt , he became more abusive and said he would give me hours to call him back and hung up After arriving home later that day, I called the doctor at home and spoke with his wife who works with his finances She was surprised that he had called on a Saturday and also apologized for the harassment and requested his name which I had not heard clearly enough After explaining to her that I had been paying every month on the bill but had to stop when other illnesses appeared and I was not disputing the bill but I couldn't deal with this awful person No old yrwoman should have had to deal with such inappropriate behavior I told her I would go to the office Monday and set up a monthly draft for the remainder of the debt and she could deal with Capital I tried to call two numbers, one on Capital's letter head and one from my caller id but had to wait for the next available rep who never answered I'll never forget one sentence he kept repeating "I know you have your purse, don't be stubborn, go get it." Wouldn't you say this verbal abuse comes under the telephone harassment?

I received my first letter from Capital Accounts on May 6, 2016 desiring an "amicable resolution" in regard to my debt. Before I could respond, my daughter who lives with me, received a phone call when I was not home from a verbally abusive man asking for me. When she told him I wasn't home. he asked her why I was living in her house. She believed he thought she was lying. Then on May 14 on a Saturday I received a phone call from him on my cell. I had gone to the lake with friends, I was on their pier, had a beach bag with only my cell, a few dollars, and some towels. He wanted me to arrange a payment plan using my credit card. When I told him I hoped he was legitimate and he assured me that he was and he already knew my social security number. When I told him I had nothing with me, no papers, or my purse he accused me of lying. "What woman goes anywhere without their purse?" He said I was being stubborn and he would wait for me to go get my purse. He kept repeating this to me over and over again while my friends listened to my end of the conversation I became angry and told him I was going to call the doctor to whom I owed the debt , he became more abusive and said he would give me 2 hours to call him back and hung up.
After arriving home later that day, I called the doctor at home and spoke with his wife who works with his finances. She was surprised that he had called on a Saturday and also apologized for the harassment and requested his name which I had not heard clearly enough. After explaining to her that I had been paying every month on the bill but had to stop when other illnesses appeared and I was not disputing the bill but I couldn't deal with this awful person. No 80 old yr. woman should have had to deal with such inappropriate behavior. I told her I would go to the office Monday and set up a monthly draft for the remainder of the debt and she could deal with Capital.
I tried to call two numbers, one on Capital's letter head and one from my caller id but had to wait for the next available rep who never answered. I'll never forget one sentence he kept repeating "I know you have your purse, don't be stubborn, go get it." Wouldn't you say this verbal abuse comes under the telephone harassment?

[redacted] with capital accounts was very helpful in getting my issue resolved.
