Total rip off. They lie about vehicle condition that they list on their website for you to bid on. Then when you buy based on their lies, and refuse the vehicle because the transmission is bad, undercarriage is rusted out, brakes are gone etc. They steal your deposit of at least $300. You will be ripped off one way or another trying to buy a vehicle here. Lets say your winning bid is $600. you will pay $1250 because they have invented all kinds of fees they charge, many that are not described in their terms. Yes people, Tony Soprano lives and he is President of Capital Auto Auction Philadelphia.

In April of I decided to donate a vehicle to [redacted] I did not hear anything until January of when I received a ticket from the city of [redacted] for an abandoned vehicleWhen I contacted [redacted] they told me that I needed to contact [redacted] because they were the ones who sold my car(Well, I though that my car was going to veteran but it was sold and I am not sure who profited from it.) Nonetheless, I contacted them again in February when I received another notice from the city with increased fees [redacted] reassured me that they would handle the matter, It is now April and I have been place on [redacted] eligible list I need assistance on rectifying this matter In addition I think that [redacted] is a sham and they are in Cahoots with [redacted] [redacted] are getting donated cars and they are shipping them to [redacted] for saleThis should be investigated

I purchase a [redacted] SUV for around $2,on May 10th from Capitol Auto here in Philadelphia Pa the salesman stated that the vehicle has the actual miles of miles if it had a clean car title ( [redacted] ) but later when I received the actual title they filed it under a branded title not the actual milesThey had me sign documents that the vehicle had the actual miles the [redacted] was clean but they filed it under a branded titleThey sold me a vehicle based on Deception unfair practices I felt like this can't me defraud me out of my money based on the lies they report it about the car

I am rejecting this response because:
they never offered to re sell the car. they never even contacted me. that car should have been sold for 10 dollars. ive put over 5000.00 dollars in it already and it still aint right. I put a motor, transmittion, catatyic converter, had to get the whole car wired up over, towing, been paying insurance on it since day one, and the car still needs more work. [ I have receipts ] . if they oftered to resell it at no charge I would have jumped on it. ive been borrowing money trying to get this car drivable and don't know how in going to pay it back. please help me recoop the monies.

conditions are as follows:RED LIGHT: "AS-IS" The Red Light designates that the vehicle is sold "AS-IS" with no representations or warranties of any kind. All express and implied warranties are expressly disclaimed. RED LIGHT VEHICLES ARE NOT ARBITRATABLE FOR ANY REASON OF ANY KIND, NEITHER CAPITAL NOR SELLER REPRESENT THAT THE CONDITION REPORT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. All recreational vehicles, motorcycles, boats, trailers, busses, gray market vehicles, former police vehicles, former taxis, and any vehicles sold on branded flood or rebuilt/reconstructed are sold "AS-IS".
ARBITRATION POLICY If you are the Buyer of a Green Light vehicle, you are entitled to inspect your purchase and submit it for arbitration for undisclosed conditions within 48 hours from the Time of Sale as stated above. Review: to whom it may concern my name is [redacted] and my dispute with capital auto auction is the following on March 30 2013. they put a car mercedez 2000 at auction. and they did not announce that the odometer was broken and the windshield also announced the miles that were not current for the car. therefore I feel cheated by this lack of information.
