We had 2 bites of our main course and did not even try our side dishes the waiter threw our food away and we asked for it to go TWICE!We did not expect as much food as we received. The food was absolutely delicious, however by the time we received our main course we were so full. I literally had 2 small bites of my steak because it was fresh. I did not even taste or touch my side dishes. My guest had approximately 1/3 of their steak and also did not even taste their side item. The waiter came around and asked if were done, we said yes were could not eat another bite. Then my guest asked for the food to go TWICE! The waiter came back empty handed. We asked what happened to our food, he said he said its gone. We were shocked. He went to his manager and lied and said we ate almost all of our food THIS IS NOT TRUE! Thy waiter did this to save his own skin, because number 1 he did not follow protocol and number 2 he made very poor judgement. The manager [redacted] then came over and was already very annoyed with us, because of what the waiter lied and stated we ate all of our food. Now I was mad and appalled. The manager clearly took the waiters side and never even spoke to us previously. The manager stated we would be getting a steak for free, first its not a free steak I paid for it and 2nd the waiter threw away 2 steaks. He then suggested we split the steak and half and each take some home. I ordered a filet mignon you dont compensate filet mignon by splitting a ribeye in half. Everyone knows once you cut a steak in half after it is cooked it is going to be dry. I did not pay for dry split steak. I then advised AGAIN, we did not even taste our sides, we basically had 2 full plates. I even attempted to meet in the middle to be fair and honest your steak house is the best steakhouse I have had since I have moved to the triangle. I had every intention to come back. Forget the steak and lets do a small gift card. This insures you know im not trying to get a free meal and that I will be coming back to spend more money.Before I even got out my sentence the manager stated, we do not compensate that we. The only way we compensate is by food. I said, clearly I understand but why should I have to abide by your rules when you threw away my food and made the mistake not me. They were not willing to provide my sides and they wanted to spit a steak that was inferior to mine, so I paid my bill in full and left. This was not fair of me to pay my entire bill. I never received my entree. Plus your waiter lied and your manager was rude. I would like a full refund for the incredibly poor service I received.Desired SettlementI originally was only going to ask for compensation of the amount of food I did not receive which was my 2 entree's. So it would have been an appetizer and one soda. After the appalling treatment of your staff and the time and effort I have to put in to file a complaint, I fell only a full refund is acceptable at this point. After, gathering all the facts, I have come to the following conclusion:1) The server involved in this incident did indeed fail to follow protocal.2) The complainant's account of the incident is grossly inaccurate, and fails to mention very important details regarding the manager's attempts to reconcile the issue at hand.3)The guest had agreed to the preparation of two complete entrees to replace those that were discarded, only to refuse them upon delivery and demand the check.4) Most importantly, the guest made it very clear that they had no interest in our company's policies.I WILL NOT agree to any further attempts at reconciliation until these facts are acknowledged.[redacted]General Manager
