Gutter Cleaning
I requested a gutter cleaning from Capital City. This was not a difficult job because the gutters where cleaned by another company a18 months ago. There was no appointment time given because there nothing required from us as instructed by the company. Their employee came by, cleaned the gutters, and left. He did not ring the door bell to announce his arrival or departure.

I went out of town and returned several days later and noticed something odd. In my yard 16 steps from my deck, their employee had dumped the debris from the gutters in my yard, on an old mailbox planter, at an unattended section of a garden. Also, he did not sweep the deck.

Their response was, "For the debris, our techs are instructed to leave the debris for the homeowner to dispose of as stated in the service description."

The technician never checked with us. Plus, we have 150 feet frontage of wooded area just 30 steps off the same deck. I call it lazy, and a problem I did not have with the other company. Looks I made a mistake in hiring Capital City.

Capital City Power Washing revived our neglected house and outbuildings this summer by washing the cedar siding, replacing some deck railings and making a few other carpentry repairs, then painting the exteriors of everything The project advisor/manager gave us excellent attention to detail from the intial contact throughout the duration of the work Each individual workman was diligent, proficient, and friendly The work got done when we were told it would get done and it was all done in a very professional manner We couldn't be happier with the results or the way the work was done We highly recommend this business

It took Revdex.com to have them respond back to me. What an excellent customer service from them. The Capital City needs to follow up with me and schedule the time its comfortable from my end. Its pretty obvious that their workmanship is not good. The house is 4 years old and here should not be any oxidation happening. I will find more information on this. If the oxidation is happening due to their chemical and incorrect/improper procedure being practiced further action will be taken against them. Thank you for your help.

Review: I had capital city power to come out and wash our house. I've noticed very potent bleach smell (A lot heavier smell compare to past when our house was washed) while capital city was doing the work. The next day when I came home from work, I've noticed white chemical residue stain all throughout the house on the vinyl siding. So I waited few weeks to see if it will clear and rinse away from rain instead to calling capital city to come out and rinse. After few weeks, the white residue was still present. So I called capital city and talked to their office manager about this concern. She confirmed that they will take care of it and she will send me the confirmation email once scheduled. Few days past, I didn't get a confirmation email so I called her back again and asked about the status. She stated that it wasn't scheduled as of yet but she will get it scheduled as soon as possible. That same day she called me back and informed me that she has a crew that will come out sometime today to rinse. So when I came home from work I checked and noticed the white residue stains were still present and it appeared that nobody came out. If they did come out then they definitely didn't do the work properly. So I gave capital city a call and informed the office manager that the stains were still present throughout our house. She asked me to take few pictures to confirm what I was looking at. So I sent her the pictures on July 30th and left her voicemail. I still haven't received a follow up as of yet.Desired Settlement: I want capital city to finish the job properly. Where is their quality workmanship behind there work. Our house was built 2011 and I don't want to see this white chemical residue stain on our house. If not, I want full refund on the job. As a customer I'm not satisfied with their service and workmanship.

Review: I was not happy with the service received for several reasons. Initially I set up a service appointment, it rained and I was never called to reschedule I had to call them to reschedule. I also did not receive their "prep" packet as to what I needed to do to prepare for the service; when I came home all of the items on the porch and deck were either sitting in my front yard or moved. I called them to complain and the rep told me "technically" they should not have completed the service if I had not completed the prep. I told her I understood and if I had rec'd the prep info I would have done it but that since they provided the service in spite of that they should have put the items back as a courtesy. They also damaged my exterior [redacted] lock, when I advised the rep about that, she called back saying it hadn't happened before so it was not their fault. The lock worked when I left in the morning and did not work when I returned home, when we removed the lock to replace it and took it apart there was debris blown into it from the power washing. When they cleaned the gutters the debris from the gutters was left all of my driveway, they didn't clean it up or blow it to the grass. I never received a bill; I verified my home email several times with the rep. Coincidentally, when I emailed my cc info from my work email for payment and asked for a receipt to be mailed to me at my home address b/c I had not rec'd any of their supposed previous emails, miraculously the receipt was emailed to my home email. Very poor customer service, very poor business practices.Desired Settlement: Refund in the amount of the replacement cost of the lock $32.86
