I will be in contact with the customer. We are shut down for the winter because of the temperatures. We will have to set an appointment for spring.

Mr Mills,I did see you earlier this spring as I was doing an estimate for your neighbor. You told me that you would tell him not to do business with us because of how horrible we are as business men. If we are so horrible, how could we be in business for over 13 years and have thousands of happy customers. I did say I would get to the bottom of your situation. I spoke with the owner and he explained that you and he worked out a solution, but it was December and the weather turned cold soon after. He was going to take care of it this spring but when he heard that you had a huge sign at your place of work that employs hundreds of people slandering our company and telling everyone who would listen how awful we are as a business, he was not too excited to get over there to do anything. There is no pretense under which we are obligated to do anything about your issue. We normally go above and beyond for reasonable people, but it's become very apparent that you are not. I don't understand how seeing light under 3 feet of the edge of your garage door warrants you to spend your time trying to ruin the reputation of a company who supports 10-15 families on any given month. When we poured the floor in 2014 until you had a new garage door put in in November of 2015, the floor was fine, and all of the sudden we are the worst company in the world. We are not accredited with the Revdex.com, but it's not because we are horrible business men. We responded directly to the customers who complained and did not go through the Revdex.com protocol on their website. Because we did not follow the Revdex.com protocol and handled the customers complaints (all of which are satisfied) directly, the Revdex.com revoked our accreditation. We are working with them to get it reinstated. The owner will see you next Tuesday to hopefully work out a solution to the situation. I wish you the best, Bill. God Bless.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Using the response from Capital R I will address in order. I didn’t check if you were listed on the Revdex.com website. Part of my complaint is that even though you were warned by the Revdex.com’s Appleton office you continued to use their logo in your adds. I never said I was misled in that manner, just stop misleading the rest of the community. The second line I agree with up to the “replaced in a workmanlike manner”. Day one the concrete was removed and the area prepared for the next day. The gravel was to be inspected and replaced if needed and should be at a depth of 8”-10”. The gravel was full of clay and for that reason alone should have been replaced. By contract Capital R was to place re-bar every 2’ o/c. Your men did a sloppy job scattering them 4‘-5’ o/c. When I got home from work I had to re-adjust them to 2’ centers. I called [redacted] to tell him I adjusted everything to the agreed spec’s and that they needed to bring more re-bar for the area‘s not yet covered. Because of that I took the next day off work to keep an eye on the project. You’re men used many of my tools by “helping themselves” and I had to retrieve a shovel, push broom and my framing hammer from your truck. None of this is workmanlike manner. As I have said repeatedly, I was there the day of the pour and nobody ran the door up and down to check for proper fit. Your guy told me they pitched that corner to help let water/melting snow out. I didn’t make the connection about door fit at the time with the door up. In addition the old door, as well as the new one are steel doors. The frames are ridged and is impossible for them to sag/bend and certainly cannot form to the way the concrete was finished. Another words, if the door hit something on the way down it could bend/crush upwards if the opener wasn‘t set correctly, but they don’t sag EVER. The old door was straight as an arrow. The new doors were installed by Overhead Door Corp of Appleton WI. He said he did his best, but there is no way to make that door seal shut under those circumstances, the concrete is just too far off.I called and left messages on Andy’s phone every other day for two months. I have the phone records. It wasn’t until I left a message threatening legal action before he returned a call and showed up. It was Thursday and he said he was going to take care of this personally on the following Monday. He never came, never called, never again answered his phone.  Then we get to you [redacted]. This spring I saw your truck next door giving my neighbor an estimate. I intervened not wanting Jim to make the same mistake I did. You stated that as soon as you finished with Jim you would be right over to check it out which you did. I explained everything to you and how poorly your brother has handled this. You told me you would get to the bottom of this and get back to me right away. YOU, [redacted] Rugotska have never made an attempt to contact me.I have plenty more pictures than what are enclosed. There is no excuse for such poor workmanship and such poor service after the sale. Word of mouth can be damaging and I tell and show everybody. I’ll make sure everyone knows what pitiful businessmen you are. Liars!I’m still waiting for you to make good on your screw-up.[redacted]

Hey [redacted],I'm sorry I have not responded to your email sooner. I have no news for you. Our bookkeeper is out until next week and I can't get you an updated invoice until then. We have not reached out to you in regards to your payment for that reason. We are more than willing to work with you on this,...

just need more information. Talk soon.

Hello Mr [redacted],At the time we replaced your garage floor in 2014, we were A+ rated by the Revdex.com. You were in no way misled about this. We were recently made aware of our standing with the Revdex.com and have since stopped using the Revdex.com logo in all advertising and company materials. You called us to have...

your garage floor epoxy coated and because the garage floor was heaved and cracked, the epoxy coating was not a viable option. We suggested you have the floor replaced and you agreed. We replaced the attached garage floor in a workmanlike manner. Part of replacing an attached garage floor, is making sure the garage door shuts properly. When we poured the new floor and put the door down we had to make the new floor meet the existing garage door so it seals tight. The old door must have been aligned differently than the new door. At the time, you paid us and everything was fine. Then, in Nov 2015, over a year later, you had a new garage door installed. The new garage door doesn't meet the concrete floor in an area of about 4 feet. You called [redacted] immediately and he came out and offered a few suggestions. Because it was neither our fault, nor your fault, he suggested a split in the cost to repair the work. You were not happy with this and so the matter has gone unresolved. We would be happy to meet you halfway but you have to be willing to help us help you.-- Talk to you soon,[redacted] RugotskaCapital R Concrete & Coatings, Inc920-427-5767 x1capitalRcoatings.com

Review: On 8-1-13, I met with [redacted], who I believed to be [redacted] of Capital R, at my house to spec a project. I wanted our garage & basement floors cracks & dimples filled in & then finished with an epoxy coating. I thought the job seemed straight forward & simple. I was told the job would take three days & I asked if weather or temperature plays a part in the process. I didn't want this done until Oct. but I was assured weather shouldn't be a problem. I asked him if I needed to move my washer & dryer, utility sink & wall length shelves in the basement. He told me I didn't need to move a thing, they tape off the obstacles & work around them. I agreed to the quoted price & I was given a copy of the proposal contract invoice. It included the price & the down payment he required that I gave him. He told me I wouldn't hear from him until the day they showed up for work, which I thought was odd. On 10-11-13 I tried calling 3 times during the day to get some questions answered. One question was if they were sure I don't need to move my washer & dryer. The weekend would be the only time I could get someone to do it for us. But I never got an answer so I left a voice mail message. On 10-14-13 two men arrived at 8:00am right on time. I asked again if I needed to move my appliances & they said no they would tape them & go around. They said the day would be mostly prepping for tomorrow. I asked if the temperature or possibility of rain would be an issue. They said they have heaters & ways to work around the weather. They then taped up a barrier cutting off our access to the basement & garage. They finished working & left at 4:30 without saying a word to me. On 10-15-13 I was expecting the men at 8:00am again, but they never showed up. I tried calling the office to ask what happened & when will they be back. I left messages but never got an answer. On 10-16-13 the two men came at 2:30pm & left at 5:00pm. I was able to get one man to stop for a second so I could ask if they'd be here tomorrow & what time. He said yes in the afternoon. On 10-17-13 they came to the house at 11:00am I asked if they'd be finished today because technically it was day 3 of work, they said yes. They left at 4:00pm without talking to me, it was obvious they weren't finished. On 10-18-13 the two men arrived at noon & went to work, then gathered up their equipment & barriers & left without a word to me at 3:30. This time I couldn't tell if they were finished with the job or not. For the first time since Mon. I could see the garage & basement. I opened the door to the garage but didn't go in. I looked across the floor & saw leaves stuck to it. There were footprints everywhere that left dull raised impressions against the rest of the smooth surface. I couldn't tell if it was wet or not because of the high glossy finish I didn't expect. Then I went downstairs & couldn't believe my eyes. Here my husband & I went to great lengths to CAREFULLY move all of our belongings from one side of the basement to the other. We packed, stacked & arranged without any empty spaces left to put anything. So when I stood on the last step of the stairs I wanted to faint. Without our permission the two men had disconnected our washer & dryer & moved them across the floor to an area that was clearly full. Without any regard to our things they took the washer & dryer & shoved until they crammed them far enough over out of their way. All of our things were pushed aside & disrespected. I hurried & tried calling the Capital R office over & over but there was no answer or voice mail. It was a Fri. & I couldn't believe the lack of common sense the two men had to just leave things that way. It was clear they never cared about the job, how I would do laundry or how we'd put things back together. It was too late on a Fri. to find anyone who could help us plus I couldn't tell if the floor was dry or not. On 10-19-13 I was calling the Capital R office every few hrs. but got nothing except a message saying their voicemail box was full & to try again later. On 10-20-13 I tried calling all day & got the same message. On 10-21-13 again I spent the day trying to get a hold of someone at Capital R & got the same, voice mail is full message. Without any way to contact the office I was so frustrated & decided to try their customer service. I wrote a basic note stating the problem. On 10-22-13 I still couldn't get through on the phone & I got no reply to the problem I submitted to their customer service. Their website is no help & I don't know what to do. On 10-23-13 still no reply from customer service & same phone message. I can't reach anyone, my work is poor & incomplete, my washer & dryer are across the room & I can't determine what's damaged until the appliances are moved. My husband & I are very upset. In all of our years as homeowners we've worked with plenty of contractors & have never had an experience like this. We're accustomed to dealing with responsible professionals.Desired Settlement: A meeting with "[redacted]", a verbal explanation, a verbal apology, payment for any property damage, payment for necessary repair work to floors, payment for having someone move & hook up washer & dryer, refund on my down payment check of $1,249 check#[redacted] & cancelation of balance $2,915.

Response:

I was out of state from October 16 to October 28. I changed the greeting on the business voicemail box to have customers call my coatings supervisor or concrete supervisor at their phone numbers if they needed imediate assistance. Apparently this greeting didn't properly replace our normal greeting and customers couldn't contact my supervisors. This obviously caused some problems. I find this out Monday morning when I returned back to work. I called [redacted] at 4:00pm Monday and left a message to call me so we can meet and go over her concerns. She called me at 1:00pm Wednesday and we set up an appointment to meet at her house at 11:00 am Fri. Nov. 1st.

I had Epoxy Coating to my garage floor. It was arranged on short notice since I had limited time for continued outside storage arrangements for my garage belongings. Andy, the owner, arranged that I could get it done since they were still in Fond du Lac County finishing some work. [redacted] made my situation a priority due to the circumstances and since they were still in the same county finishing up a job.

So [redacted] and [redacted] came out on short notice, did EXCELLENT prep work, extremely polite and professional at their job, next day the epoxy, and the last step on the following day, [redacted] came back, which was on a Saturday, mind you, to finish the job of clear coating.

I am VERY PLEASED and SATISFIED with the WHOLE PROCESS. I would HIGHLY recommend Capital R Coating for the quality, integrity of personnel, and the specialty of the work they offer.

Dated 08/07/2013

I had my stamped concrete patio put in Fall of 2013 by Capital R Coatings. I reached out to Capital R recently as my patio has begin to pop. I talked to [redacted] and he said he would come out in the next few days to take a look at it and give me a call. A week later I still had not heard from him. I called back and left 4 messages with him over the course of another 2 weeks. All UN-returned. I also called and left a message with the other partner who is in charge of biding the jobs. That call was also not returned. I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. I would NOT recommend this company as they do NOT stand behind there work or care about there customers.

A year and a half ago this past spring I had my garage floor epoxied. I was so impressed with a 15 yr warranty and their supposed referral program besides the look of the floor. Well, a year later I had a chip which was suppose to be covered, I tried again this early summer when they where working just a few miles away. They were suppose to repair the floor at that time never received a call and never received any thing through the supposedly referral program after referring my relatives. Very disappointed with their service and would not hire them to do my detached garage.

Review: We had [redacted] come out last spring to give us a estimate on doing our garage floor, we picked out the 15 year warranty one. While he was there we got talking about our concrete driveway, and [redacted] said let me give you a estimate on that to. So we went with Capitol R Coatings on the garage floor and cement driveway. The garage floor was done first. Then the driveway in June. We had problems with the driveway which had to be redone. It took several phone calls and messages before we could get a hold of [redacted] on the driveway and to get that done. When his workers were there doing the driveway over I did show a couple of them the garage floor, and I know they mentioned it to [redacted], because when finally got a hold of [redacted] he knew about it and said he has some cleaner there and would contact me to come out, well that was back in September. I tried reaching him numerous times and all I get is the mailbox message is full, or his answering machine. I do leave messages but he will not return my calls. So much for the 15 year warranty.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to return my call, set up a time to come out and look at it, then set up a appointment in spring to come and finish the job. And in the future if we have problems I expect him to pick up the phone or return our calls. If he does not want to do that then we would like a full refund on the garage floor so we can get it fixed. I also want to show [redacted] all the cement on my garage doors and brick that he was going to come back and clean off.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: This company came and coated our 3 stall garage floor. This was done in around July or August of 2012. We had numerous bubbles in the work. WE made numerous phone calls and emails and finally he sent, without notice ,a ** year old kid to fix the problem. This cost us $3641.00 My husband and I continued to call and he would make an appointment to come to the house and never show up. Finally, I threatened an attorney and said I do not like to operate this way but we have tried everything to get him to resolve the problem. He called and agreed with my husband that I was right and he came and fixed a tiny area promising to return for the others. The bubbles continued to develop on one stall of the garage. This is where we are today. He has been called, left messages, emailed etc. and no response has happened. We just want this work completed correctly. We are in the process of building a new home and selling this one. This repair needs to be done or we want our entire investment returned. The floor looks terrible.Desired Settlement: Desired outcome would be to have him set up an appointment and keep it. Fix the floor himself, not a child and answer any future calls to him from us if this continues. We would like our entire investment of $3641.00 refunded if he does not want to follow up and fix the issue.

Response:

The customer did have 2-3 spots on the floor approximatley 1-2 inches in diameter. She contacted me in 2012 to do repairs. My installers happened to be in the area and done early with their job that day. I asked them to stop at this customers house to see if it would be possible to do the repairs because they were in the area. Customer said no because I shoulded have called a day or so in advance and not sent a ** year old kid to do repairs. This ** year old kid is actually ** years old but looks young and has been a full time employee for * years and has been my lead installer for the last * years. He has installed over 250 garage floor epoxy coatings without my help. She probably didn't realize this young guy installed her floor with his co-worker and the floor was done very well. I repaired the spot late in the fall to at least get it protected for winter and needed to do it better in the spring. Spring came and we got very busy so we asked if we could get caught up on the spring rush and then get it taken care of. Customer decided to put house up for sale and needed repairs done asap. The repairs are now done by me and the customer is satisfied.
