Horrible experience We hired Ken to do a small bathroom remodelHe and his wife were very friendly during the quote process The job was almost complete when his employee (main one doing the job) allegedly quit Tile under vanity not grouted, grout and glue was everywhere...tub walls, floor, etc The employee left his trash all over the houseSame guy installed the sink under the new vanity and stripped the hose This caused a slow leak, enough to warp the wood and slight damage to wall We called Ken over and he reluctantly showed up yelling at someone on the phone...odd Once he got off the phone, he immediately became defensiveHe blamed us for the hose (though we hadn't touched it) and told us it should be easy for us, yes us, to clean up all the other mess Tried to imply if we hassled him he would just forget about cleaning the remodel debris from our yard (contractual agreement) He finally sent a nice young man to get the scrapBathroom looks nice since WE finished itHe went on and on about how he usually does "big" jobs and will no longer deal with small jobs If he can't handle the small jobs then I'm not sure how he handles the big ones?
My fiance and I hired *** and his wife to do laminate flooring in our downstairs They were extremely pleasant people during our consultation *** seemed to really know what he was talking about He told us it would be a quick job
Unfortunately the work was extremely slopped and the job took days more than he had saidWe expected it to take the weekend so that we could be home while they worked on the rooms He ended up not finishing until Tuesday, and even then I would say he never truly finished If my fiance hadn't paid him Tuesday morning he wouldn't have gotten any more money from us
We still have a giant piece of door frame missing from our front door, many chips in the brand new paint on our walls and a chunk of wall missing There is a nail sticking out of one of the baseboards, and at the time with a month old who was just starting to crawl that's a HUGE safety concern
When I emailed his *** about the issues she assured me they would come back and fix it after their other job Apparently he scheduled another job too close to ours and had to rush to finish due to working half days both days he said he would be doing our floors and instead it took him to half *** through it
I will never ever hire them again It's unfortunate because we still have our stairs and all of upstairs to do
