Hello Anita Horne,First I want to apologize this has gotten this far.On or about August 20, 2014, we refunded [redacted] $We apologize it took a few contacts to us to make the refund, however, this is due to the fact that we had to calculate what we actually rented it for, trying to give the guest as much of a refund as possibleOur calculations were $which we sent through [redacted] .On August 23, 2014, [redacted] complained that the number was lower than she expectedShe expected $Although we calculate our refund based on what we are ultimately able to get for the reservation, we agreed to refund her the entire $She also complained about the [redacted] feeWe responded that if she wanted to she could reject the $and we would send her a check for $We never received a response to that.We have always provided as best service as we can at all timesWe are sending her the $The difference of the last payment to her $plus 3.5% for the entire refund.We tried calling you several times on October 3, but were unsuccessful in reaching you or leaving a message.Please feel free to contactus, ifyou have any questionsCould you please also give us a call, we would also like to ask you a few questions, as this is the first time dealing with an issue such as thisSincerely, Ola F

Review: I had reserved a vacation rental home back in January 2014, to rent with Capital Vacation Rentals for a week in August 2-9 2014. I had signed a rental agreement with the company; but had had to cancel less than 60 days before I was scheduled to arrive (on 6/4/2014). Per the rental agreement, "If you cancel less than 60 days before checkin,40% of your reservation payment will be returned, if we are able to rerent the home for that same amount of day and rate of your reservation." I had made a deposit for $990. Today after 4 phone call attempts, 3 emails and 2 texts (over the last 2 weeks) I finally got an email with a refund amount, of $338! Since the company is not cooperating and communicating with me, 40% of $990 is $396. In addition I can see that the rental home was in fact rented out for the dates I was to rent it, meaning I should get the full deposit back. PLEASE SEE: [redacted] (CLICK ON CALENDAR TO VIEW DATES BOOKED).If requested, I can provide: 1) the rental agreement, 2) a screenshot of the rental schedule(http://[redacted]), 3) the email cancelling the rental home with date stamp, 4) email with refund I received from Capital Vacation Rentals; to support my claim.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my deposit of $990, which is an additional $652 than I was reimbursed. If they were unable to re-rent it, please provide the Revdex.com with proof. At a minimum I am owed $58, which I would like mailed to me and not paid through [redacted] takes a fee for transactions on its site.
