I reference to the above complaint,The vehicle in question was towed in to our repair facility on or around 8/20/The customer complaint was that the electrical system was not functioning, causing the car to not start, instruments and warnings turning on and off, windows and wipers turning on
And off by themselves and other various issuesThe owner agreed to diagnosing vehicle.After a few hours of diagnosis it became very apparent that the vehicle was a flood damaged carWe spoke to *** about this and he was very elusive when questioned,but then admitted he was a used car dealer and had purchased the vehicle as a total loss flood vehicle from the auction.He wanted us to continue with the diagnosisAfter hours of traceing the can bus data lines and much disassembly of the interior we found the drive train control module of which is mounted in a housing under the left seat was sitting in inches of waterWhen the module was unplugged all electrical issues returned to allowing us to start the vehicleWhen engine was started in ran for about seconds when it started to knock and then threw a connecting rod thru the oil pan.Clearly this was no fault of oursThis was a total loss Flood vehicle.All types of obvious & not so obvious damage occurs in a flood situation.This is why insurance companys total loss these vehicleslnternal engine damage can occur but allow the rotating assembly to operate o/k fora period of time afterwardHis electrical system operated fine until it didntSame senerioWe did turn this into our insurance company who did a complete investigation and denised the claimHis insurance company denied the claim as well from what I understand thru various Emails from ***Sincerly, Rick ***Capitaland Auto Service***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The problem that my truck had was an electrical failure, and for some reason that I still don’t know they busted the engine, it had about 18000 miles on it  and was reviewed and serviced two days before the incident happened. I have a letter from a very experienced mechanic, a person who had passed mechanical and electrical courses from the biggest car manufacturing companies and that person said there is no way that the engine was exploded because it was a flooding vehicle, if the engine was serviced and ran about one thousand miles, that is an indication that the engine didn’t suffer any damage from the flood, also he conclude that the problem was caused by mistake or negligence on Capitaland Auto care and they should be responsable for the repair and all the expenses created by that problem
