Awesome company. Very honest, professional and communicated and explained the process of how the shipping industry works very well. Andy is the owner and anytime you deal directly with the owner, you usually have a better experience than you would with large companies with a bunch of employees throwing low quotes at you to get you to give them a deposit so they can get paid. With Capital Auto, you only pay the broker fee AFTER the vehicle is loaded onto the carrier, not beforehand like others want. He wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but that is what I was looking for because the way the industry works is a bid system. The broker gives you a quote of what they think it will ship for plus their fee, then they put it on the board and if a carrier wants to ship it for that price they call the broker and set it up. If it's too low of an amount then it will just sit there as no trucker is going to move it for that amount. I read those reviews of people saying that nobody picked up their vehicle or picked it up many days later and that's why. He found a great carrier that moved my '68 International from Oregon to Kansas without any problems, which was a task that other companies didn't want to mess with because of the size of the truck. Andy was the only one that explained that because of the size, there was only one space reserved on the truck for large vehicles and it might be hard to find a truck with the space for it, and that would be on the top and in the back, and that's exactly where they put it. He knows his stuff. In talking with him, he told me that he has a "Do Not Use" list of carriers that he won't use. Andy makes sure the carriers have a great rating and I appreciated that for my old truck.
I would definitely use them again and If anybody needs to move a vehicle, I will recommend they use Capital Auto Transport. AAA+++
