Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I am still not clear about this new figure that has been mentioned in the response. This response now states that I owed Capitaol Discount Corp $4920. for furniture. I bought a sofa , a love seat, (plain cloth chairs) a table and four chairs and a chest that was pput out in the garbage the early part of last year. I would not pay $5000 for that type of furniture.Second the summons I got from the courts dated 11/26/2013  reads fourth upon information and belief, defendant defaulted in making payments due therein and presently owe a balance of $2,561.65 plus interest calculated pursuant to said instrument at an interest rate of 24.9% per annum together with attorney fee of $0.00 as provided in said instrument making a total of $2,561.65 whereefore plaintiff demands judgement against defendant for the sum of $2,561.65 with interest on $2561.65 from 07/**/2013 together with the cost and disbursement of this action. This was all that I received from capitol Corp. but I have been making payments . So when I got this summons I called them and I spoke with them and told them that I can make between $100 and $150 per month and they said ok.  Now here I get a letter from the [redacted] telling me that on 4/**/14  which is the entry date on the income execution letter where the original  amount is $3311.88  and the amount due is $1811.97 plus poundage fee of $93. what I would like is a detailed invoice of my original invoice and all the payments that I have made to Capitol Discount corp. because I dont understand why my balance keep going up instead of down. so they have me in smalls claims count in which I am paying and with the income execution. I will be going to my bank and get a print out from 2012 to show me all the payments that were made to capital corp from then until now. I also made a down payment in the store and  was told that if I can make thecomplete payment in 6 months I would not have any interest to pay. I really need clarity because I am not going to have income execution letter paying them and paying capitol Discount at the same time. now the income execution wants me now to pay interest from 1031/14. Please tell me who would not be confused with all of this. I need to pay one person what I owe not what each person keep adding on each time I get a new document. I need to pay either by automatic debit or by check that is my way of keeping track of what I am doing. I am going by what is stated in the summons that I owe. Now someone please expain please explain the $1,958.19 that Capitol Discount is now saying I still owe.

Review: This company has processed an unauthorized electronic Check based on information that was stored in the system from previous electronic checks that we issued. They claim that they would NEVER process an unauthorized payment, but conveniently do not record phone conversations in order to protect the customer.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

On 11/**/13 our customer service rep spoke to [redacted], the account holder, who instructed us to create a post dated check for 11/**/13. We only create a check by phone transaction when given permission by the account holder. If [redacted] has a problem she should speak to [redacted].

Review: I have been calling [redacted] Since July of Last year to come pick up the Mazda that I have informed them that this car, the [redacted] stated that they aren't going to come get it because it is to Far and its not worth it .. Informed them that I'm not paying for this car he stated that its in my Possession and they will stop sending me bills .. Mind you its still on my credit and its still saying that its a Lien on it and I just want them to either come pick up the car or give me the Title Release or give me the amount to send it to them .The pain and headaches this is causing I have to pay for storage for this car of $250 a month which is crazy I would love to either get money back or they apply it for the payoff and Give me the title .Desired Settlement: I would either like them to come take the car of just settle I get the title or something .. Because this is crazy going back and forth with them ... The pain and headaches this is causing I have to pay for storage for this car of $300 a month

Response:

Capitol Discount Corp has no record of a an account named [redacted] at the address stated and Capitol does not finance automobiles. She may have an account with a sister company but I would need an account number or social security number and a matching home address to check further.

Business

Response:

My records do not agree with [redacted]. We have no record of her ever requesting that we repossess her 2004 Mazda. The last communication we had with her is on 11/**/14 when she promised to make a payment of $356.15 on 11/**/15, which she did not due. We can't repossess her car because we are not sure where she lives - we have 4 different addresses for her. She can contact us to make arrangements to surrender the car if she lives in NY. But if she lives in Fl she will have to have the car moved back to NY. Meanwhile her account is past due 12 payments totaling $5,260.55 and her correct account number is #[redacted] not [redacted].

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have let them know that I live in Florida and I needed them to come get the car and the [redacted] told me that it will cost to much to come get the car and they even sent me mail to my address so they telling lies.. I told them I want to surrender the Mazda in the same time supposedly when I told then I was going to make a payment which I never said I was.. The car been sitting her waiting for them to pick it up... No tags or nothing.. So they need to settle on a payoff amount or come get the car because its sitting in my driveway.. And address was update with [redacted] and with [redacted] a one of the reps there..and when I spoken to the [redacted] told me its your property not getting it I told him its your car that your finance your need to come get it ASAP and still no pick up yet.. And the [redacted] even spoken to my husband and he is a cop and he was like go to Revdex.com because they not listening no more

Review: in February I purchased a tv stand which was a floor sample that I inspected before agreeing to purchase it, all I saw were a couple of scratches on the wood. I also purchased a platform bed. it was my understanding from the sales rep that the tv stand would be delivered already assembled as it was on the floor. I didn't want to assemble it myself as ive done with all the furniture in my apartment that needs assembling. so at that point I agree to purchase it. [redacted] took 100 dollars off the price. the delivery guy stated that the product was new because he told the manager he refused to deliver a floor sample to anyone, he said they found a new one in the back of the store, so I thanked him. while they were assembling the tv stand before it was fully done I noticed a damage piece, so I told them to stop assembling it because I didn't want it. I then called the store and the manager told me to let them finish assembling it and take a picture of the damaged piece. I didn't think that made any sense but they continued with the assembling of the tv stand. Being someone who has put many pieces of furniture together I know that once a piece is damaged that bad eventually the tv stand would fall apart. I paided 299.99 dollars for this piece of furniture and I was not satisfied as I told [redacted] many times. they ordered the damaged part and while waiting for it to be delivered to me I decided to push the tv stand out the middle of my floor from where the guys left it. lord and behold the pieces came loose because like I told [redacted] it wasn't put together correctly, his response to me was the guys were professionals. he wanted to send the guys back out to put it together again and I refused finally he offered to send out a new one if I put it together myself and we never speak of the tv stand again so I agreed. when the guys came to deliver the new tv stand I was at work. they came in my house looked at the old one took pictures and left back out with the new tv stand leaving the old one there and told my son to tell me to call the store which I did when I got home. now the manager is yelling in the background because he wouldn't even get on the phone, you never said it was in pieces I can't put that back on the floor, if I didn't tell him it fell apart when I pushed it why in the world would he have offered to send out a new one you never I told [redacted] who was being very rude that it doesn't take a professional to put together furniture, it takes someone who knows how to understand what they're reading. from day one he was being uncooperative because he told me do what you want the bank already paided me my money. when the bank called to see if I was satisfied with my delivery and I explained everything that was done and said but they still paided him. that left me stuck having to pay for furniture I can't do anything with. I tried to get a lawyer thru my union but they don't handle cases under 500.00 dollars. I called the manufacturer of the tv stand and guess what they don't deal with consumers. I called the store against my sanity and faxed them a picture from the manual of the pieces I needed. they said 6-8 weeks its been three months and they haven't called to say anything but I called and they said we haven't gotten them yet. this issue has been going on since February and still hasn't been resolved. the bed that the guy put together was lopsided and the store was suppose to send him back out to fix it when they delivered the new tv stand which they delivered and took back, the bed never got fixed also since February, and now the bed slats cracked in half.finished I don't feel I should continue payment to the bank until my issues with this furniture is resolved because I told the bank what was going on before they paided the furniture store. they didn't care about anything I said or my money I have to pay them for financing. ive called the bank several times and no one would help. they said all we do is pay the store but what about the consumer? I don't have free money sitting on the side to give away. the bank left me now stuck paying for damaged goods I can't do anything with. I spoke to [redacted] as well as capitol discount corporation on these dates the first store contact was on February [redacted] pertaining to the issue on hand. the first contact with the bank was on march [redacted] where I explained what happened at the time of delivery and told them I was not satisfied with the delivery but they paided the store anyway. other contact dates with both parties are march [redacted], march [redacted], march [redacted], and april [redacted] which is also the last contact date with the bank. I paided the bank the first 3 payments, but them the slats on the bed broke completely in half so I stopped paying. I have a case with the Revdex.com against the furniture store and we're going back and forth. i'm tired of all this and I wouldn't have been going through any of it if the bank had respected my reply when I said I wasn't satisfied and not pay them. the furniture store would have came back and got their stuff. now I have no justice and they want their money. I don't have time to take the bank and the furniture store to civil court because I work. I spoke with a lawyer thru my union and this is what he suggested. from the beginning the bank and the furniture store was playing me. if you tell someone you're financing from the service was unsatisfactory why would they pay anyway. why bother to ask me anything .please help resolve this. they could come remove this stuff and the bank could fight with the furniture store to get their money...like they left me to fight and i'm still fighting.Desired Settlement: I just want them to come get their stuff that fell apart from day one, give me the payments I paid them. and I never want to finance with this bank or do business with that store ever again. I had to buy a new bed and it hasn't been a year yet. I just want to be done with both parties. I complained with the bank from day one and they put me in this stressful situation when they paid the store after I said I was not satisfied. Who does that? it showed me they didn't give a dam about customer satisfaction as long as they get paided.

Response:

[redacted] bought some furniture from Universal Furniture and has a service problem with them. Capitol Discount only financed her purchase. Capitol Discount does not sell or service furniture. When she contacted us with the service problem we told her to go back to the store and call us from there so we could all discuss the problem. She never called us from there. Upon receipt of your letter, I contacted the store and [redacted], said he has replacement furniture for her. She just has to make arrangements for delivery.

Yours truly,

Consumer

[Your Answer Here]

[redacted] is very nasty. I've been arguing with him from day one...I didn't go back to the store because of that. I have high blood pressure and a heart condition. I don't feel like debating any longer. The bank should have never paided once I said I was dissatisfied and explained why. I'm not making arrangements to pick up pieces of furniture that's under warranty. When a product is under warranty the manufacturer ships whatever parts are needed to u. They don't charge you 50.00 to deliver them or tell you to come pick them up. This confirms what I said [redacted] is a very ignorant person. He tells you one thing but gets nasty with me. I don't have the patience for this anymore. They can come get the furniture I don't want to deal with gogo furniture or the bank. I had to purchase a new bed. The bank says they care about the customers but that's not true...its because they paid the store not caring about customer satisfaction that I'm going through this.

Review: I purchased a sofa and love seat, a table and four chairs and a 4 drawer chest I believe in summer of 2013. (not too sure of the date) The total came up to about $3000 I have been paying on this furniture until I run into a financial hardship that I could no longer afford to pay the bill. At the end of 2013 got served with a summons to smalls claim court to pay the balance this company claims I owe which was $2561.65 cents. I called them and was told that if you make payments until you are finished we will disregard the summons. I have been paying any where from $100 -$500 sometimes. Right now I paid already $1750. On Tuesday I got a letter from a [redacted] including an income execution letter that [redacted] states that he will send to my job unless I send to him within 20 days 10% pf my gross pay . The letter states that I now owe once again $1.811.87 including poundage fees plus other fees. I am making payments to the original amount that I was told about which is more than I owe and now they have added more charges and threatening to send income execution to my job. I live from pay check to pay check and as much as I have already paid and is still paying I have paid almost two times the original amount and capitol discount corp just dont want to stop. If they already took me to small claims court and I am making payments then what is the [redacted] and the income execution letter about. [redacted] the [redacted] also states in the letter that I cannot use my personal check to make payment and all this time that is what I have been using because that is my only way of keeping track. Money order stubs get lost, get old, gets faded and I will have no proof that I am making payments. I would like for Capitol corp to just leave me alone and allow me to just finish paying the $811 that I balance. They have harrassed me enough they send me letter with no return address, fake name, unlimited phone calls and I am tired now they are talking about including my job in this mess. I cannot afford to loose my job. They need to stop its too much its not like I am not paying I am and I have all my proof.Desired Settlement: I would like the opportunity to finish paying the balance of $811. I would also like capitol corp to stop with the small claims, summonses [redacted] threat, income execution , phone calls and all that because it is not necessary. I am paying and they have been cashing my checks and none of them have been returned.

[redacted] To whom it may concern,This letter is in response to the complaint recently filed with The Revdex.com by [redacted] Please keep in mind that Capitol Discount Corp is a sales finance company and the transaction involved with [redacted] is a financial transaction. As such, I am limited in what I can can say or write due to privacy laws.I can confirm that [redacted] did finance the purchase of furniture by signing a Retail Installment Contract in September 2012. She agreed to pay $119.18 per month for 36 months for a total amount of $4290.48. [redacted] failed to make payments and her account was sent to our attorney for collection. The $2561.65 that [redacted] is referring to was the amount on the summons. This figure is the principal balance on the date of default net of any payments made by [redacted]. The summons also indicates that [redacted] is responsible for interest from the date of her default (which was several months prior to the date of the summons) as well as legal costs. [redacted] did discuss making payments with our attorney and papers memorializing the payment arrangement were mailed to [redacted] to sign, however, since [redacted] never signed the papers, nothing was finalized and the attorney obtained a judgment. [redacted] did make additional payments after the account was sent to our attorney totaling $1750.00.[redacted] defaulted once again and our attorney did send a income execution to the [redacted] for $1811.87 plus poundage and interest. Subsequently, [redacted] sent another payment which would reduce the balance further. Based on the amount agreed to in the Retail Installment Contract as well as all of the payments sent to Capitol Discount Corp by [redacted], we conclude that [redacted] has not overpaid on this account. Once again, due to privacy concerns, we cannot disclose too much about this transaction. We have also sent [redacted] a more detailed letter to explain how we arrived at the balance which should address her concerns.[redacted] also claims that Capitol Discount Corp has harrassed her by sending letters with no return address, fake names and unlimited phone calls. All letters that Capitol Discount mails have our address and phone number on the letterhead. In addition, the envelope that contains the letter has our return address on it. We do not use fake names. We did call her on 11 occasions since the account opened in September 2012, however, we only spoke with her once (this was early in the account and [redacted] promised to mail a payment). The last phone call was made on 9/*/13 and all phone calls are made during normal business hours which are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.. Sincerely, [redacted]

Response:

I also made a down payment in the store and was told that if I can make thecomplete payment in 6 months I would not have any interest to pay. I really need clarity because I am not going to have income execution letter paying them and paying capitol Discount at the same time. now the income execution wants me now to pay interest from 1031/14. I need to pay either by automatic debit or by check that is my way of keeping track of what I am doing. I am going by what is stated in the summons that I owe. Now someone please expain please explain the $1,958.19 that Capitol Discount is now saying I still owe.
