I have been using Capitol Hill Contracting for several years for all my remodeling needs. They have completed several projects for me including remodeling bathrooms, moving a laundry room, reconfigure living space and finishing my basement. Most recently, they built an addition to my house and added a large deck. We continue to receive compliments on the work done from all those who come to our house. Capitol Hill Contractors is an outstanding contractor, as my wife and I found out when we had some demo/replacement of a porch floor and other jobs. Estimated costs are all itemized and contracts are signed prior to job start. The finished work looks beautiful and is sturdy to last several decades. Everybody really knows their job and works nonstop on site. The owner is very friendly and has no problem answering questions. Staff are also helpful and courteous.

Best construction experience! The quote was laid out and easy to understand. I received 3 quotes for the project. Every quote was around the same number, but this was the only construction company that laid out the work to fit the budget. This made me very optimistic that we would stay on budget and we did! Bobby and his team are extremely professional. Everyone did a great job! This was my first construction project and Bobby was very helpful to recommend places to go for materials and set reasonable expectations. The end result is quality work that looks amazing. Bobby at Capitol Hill is pretty much fantastic to work with. He made the whole process of remodeling a bathroom (in a one-bath apartment) relatively painless. Everything was cleaned up and in its place at the end of each day (even after the demo day, when it was gutted down to the studs).
Bobby and his entire team were professional, on time, courteous and qualified. I would work with them again in an instant. He answered all of my questions, listened to my ideas, and came up with suggestions and solutions. His carpentry skills blew me away, recreating a detailed door frame to match the others in the house and a custom shelving unit.
With a heated floor and tile to the ceiling, I am very happy with the new bathroom. Absolutely superb results!

Bobby is absolutely amazing. I'm an extremely detail-oriented, particular person, and Bobby also payed attention to every detail, made great suggestions and ended up with a wonderful end result.
To back up a bit: I live in a century old apartment that didn't have closets in the bedroom, and I wanted to add more storage, but keep the charm and character of the place (i.e. use original moldings, detailed doors, etc.). This was my first time working with a contractor, and I was amazed at how few called me back. Then I had some contractors who came by my apartment for 5 minutes, looked around quickly, and gave me a really high estimate. Bobby, however, spent about 45 minutes with me, talking through every detail and giving me suggestions on how to make the project work. Then he came back again for another hour or so before we signed the contracts to make sure we were on the same page. Amazing!
During the actual construction, Bobby and his team were wonderful to work with. They kept the rest of the house really clean, stayed late hours to get the work done, and were always just extremely nice. At one point the drawers were a little shorter than I had wanted, and without hesitating Bobby and the guys redid the work so that it would be exactly what I wanted.
And to top it all off, the contract only included painting one wall where the work was done, but the color was a little off with the adjoining wall, so the team came back a few months later to paint the other wall anyway. And on top of THAT, they also helped with a few little projects around the house that were not any part of the scope of the project (more like handyman type jobs), but they kindly helped with those fixes while they were there.
I cannot praise this team enough - I highly recommend them for all your projects!
