ID [redacted].Also, I believe this business is being operated under false pretenses. I contacted state corporation and was told that Capitol Motors license were taken in 2013 in Manassas Virginia. I tried taking them to court because they refused to give me my car back and take their car back. They are carrying the LLC but are not listed by the state. I was sold a lemon for a car. And now I'm stuck to fix it up and pay for it. Capitol motors are a scam artist and someone needs to investigate this business. A lot of people are getting scammed into cars that are not good. All of my tires are bad and I had no oil in my car. The passenger seat belt was broke until I brought the screw myself. My driver side window does not come down. Something needs to be done with Capitol Motors. This isn't fair to us hardworking people.

Review: Bought a 2010 4 months ago 2/6/16. However, I did not purchase their 3 month extended warranty for an additional $16.00 a month for the life of loan. The engine is now blown. It's been a 120 days, wouldn't have been any good anyway. If it had been a year from now I would still be upset but only 4 months is unacceptable, and I have no car but 5 years of payments still. I understand "as-is" sales but this car is a lemon and should have never been on the lot to sell. The manager had it towed to the local Chevy repair shop. He said once I find out the problem to call him and we will talk. He will not accept nor return my callsDesired Settlement: I would like the car repaired or returned with a refund of my down payment.

Review: I purchased a car from capitol motors on 4/23/2016. On 5/3/2016 the car cut off in the middle of the road while I had my kids with me in the car. 5/4/2016 they came and had my car towed to a mechanic. I called later that day to see if they had figured out the problem. They told me the mechanics was still looking at it. And I could go to the shop to get any personal items I needed. On 5/5/2016 I went to mechanic shop to find out my car never went there. I get to the dealership at 9:30 that morning to see my car is on there lot. It never made it to mechanic. After hours of pleading, they agreed to loan me a car until mine was fixed. On 5/7/2016 I stop by to check up on my car and they tell me it's fixed but I have to pay $250 (half of mechanic bill). I stated it wasn't fair and that obviously the sensor that went bad in my car was bad when I got the car. Again, I only rode for 10 days. I call cops and he states it's definitely a civil suit and told me the process to take. This dealership lied to my bank stating I put down more than what I really did. I've asked for my car back I traded in for a week because I wasn't satisfied with the car. They are currently trying to sell my trade in car to my sister for whatevet she can bring in to buy it. The bank stated I have 30 days before the purchase is final but they won't take the car back. Needless to say I'm going to spotsylvania courthouse to file a civil suit.Desired Settlement: I feel like I should not be responsible for any part of that bill. My car was supposedly under a 30 day warranty. He verbally stated that if anything happens to car within the 30 days, they will fix. So why am I being held responsible for part of this bill.

Review: Went to Capitol Motors on 08/08/2015 to look for a car, seen one we liked and was told to write a check to hold a car, it would not be cashed. We needed to follow up with the bank to sign papers for the car and bring the check for the car back to the dealership. We decided the same day we didnt want the car, told the saleman(Joe). But a week later they cashed the check anyway. Of course the money wasnt in the account and we got an NSF fee, called and spoke to (John) manager who told me to call him back so he could talk to finance and the saleman, because no one told him we didnt want the car. This place is shady, who reason we decided we didnt want the car. Too many inconsistancies with their story and all the numbers they were throwing out at us. First we qualified for a discount and then the bank said we couldnt get it. None of it made sense. My husband called and Joe hung up on him.Desired Settlement: I want the NSF of $29 returned and to not try to cash the check again or we will recieve another NSF from our bank.

Regards,

Review: I spoke with them on the phone inquiring about the car I was interested in buying. On the phone, I spoke with a sales person named John and we came up with an agreement of having a set price for the vehicle and trade in. I asked them specifically if they will honor it because as I don't want to drive 1 1/2 hour over there for nothing. They said they will honor those and I should come take a look. On my way there, I double checked if the car is ready for show. They said yes, it's waiting for you.. When I got there, I waited 30 minutes for them to tell me that the car was in a shop, and that they will not honor what they told me on the phone. I asked them why, they said they are working on the interior, and that the car is non negotiable. I spoke with [redacted], theire general manager, and told me to check out the rest of their inventory and come back tomorrow. I declined and told [redacted] I will wait and honor the deal. He said, they will deliver it closer to where I live because they have a branch in Manassass and honor half of the deal which is $1000 off. So I went home...

The next day, I called in the afternoon and they said it was on the way to Manassass. So I got off work again earlier and went on my way to the shop. On the way there, I called the number they gave me and the shop they were supposed to be associated with. It was named Manassass Auto Outlet. It was a scam, they have never heard of this dealership. I called [redacted] back and the staff picked the phone up and asked who is calling, I said it is me and they RUDELY and Aggressively cursed me out, and said to take my [redacted] somewhere else.

That is very bad business.. to lie on EVERYTHING. I don't know what to do except to report this. They didn't do anything illegal I agree, but these kinds of businesses should be avoided in my opinion. Here is they're Business name and phone number:

[redacted]Desired Settlement: They are luring people using false advertisement, on cars that does not exist. They are wasting people's time, and if you stand your ground, they will screw you over.

My desired outcome is public awareness of this specific establishment. It is a scam and the vehicles they sell does not look exactly like they advertised them.. IF they even have them.

Review: 6/22/15 test drove vehicle, idled rough, "needs tune up because it has been sitting" 6/23/15 test drive again after tune up (according to sales guy Jeep needed 2 spark plugs‚ coil changed‚ radiator cap replaced), test drove again, fine until end of test drive, AC went off and engine needle "hot"; mike (sales) says mechanic "forgot to replace radiator fluid during tune up", Mike added antifreeze and water to radiator, test drove again‚ no more obvious problem‚ purchased and drove home approx 45miles 6/24/15 car sat overnight, no radiator fluid‚ no leak under car‚ called dealer who advised "needs more antifreeze because we filled it yesterday when engine wasn't totally cooled, this is normal", purchased and added "antifreeze 50/50 green" as directed 6/25 no radiator fluid again‚ called dealership multiple times with no answer or return phone call, drove back to dealer‚ Jeep went back into their shop x 4hrs .. mechanic states "unable to find any problem", states he added sealant to radiator 6/26 no radiator fluid again, took to my mechanic who found "obvious and known problem" within 10min‚ states this car has a blown head gasket going to cost approximately $1500-2000 to repair, states this was a covered up by dealership prior to purchase by placing antifreeze, states antifreeze is dissipating secondary to high pressures and heat from engine, states this is why radiator cap was missing originally, also states antifreeze isn't typically drained during tune up as they originally claimed. This car hasn't been driven since purchase other than back to dealership and our auto mechanic shop, his date I have called numerous times daily with no return phone call‚ with messages "mike the manage is unavailable"‚ Had my husband call asking for Mike and was able to get him on telephone, Mike aggressive and states "not his problem technically as we bought car as is", offered me "as a courteosy to come a buy a warranty from them now and file a claim .. I refused as this seem falseDesired Settlement: We wish to have the product either repaired or full return of product

Review: My fiancé and I bought a 2002 Mini Cooper in 10/15. In contract states there was a Diamond warranty. Started having electrical issues in December, called warranty place and they said we did not have an account. Contacted the dealership and they stated that they did not put the paperwork through at time of sale and it would take 30 days. Told us to come by and sign papers. Went by to sign papers and had to wait over an hour and didn't sign any papers. Contacted the dealership several times to get issue resolved, just keep getting passed around to different people. Now they want us to talk to Mike the general manager, who is never in the office.

Also when we bought the car we only put $500 down, but they told us to lie to the finance company saying we put $2000 down.

We just want the car fixed or for them to take car back. I don't want to pay for something I can't use.Desired Settlement: I would like the car to be replaced or for them to terminate the contract. I am annoyed that I have to pay for a warranty that I don't have.
