In June Platte River Insurance Company agreed to write a statutory Motor Vehicle Dealer License Bond for K & W Auto International Incin North Carolina. As a condition of writing the bond we required that the owners sign an indemnity agreement. By signing the agreement the
indemnitors agreed to hold Platte River harmless from any loss, costs or expenses incurred as a result of writing the bond. Our records show that *** *** signed the agreement. In October we received a claim on the bond. We wrote two letters to Ms***, at the address we had on file, as part of the claim investigation and to get her input. We never received a response to our letters. Subsequently, in December we determined the claim was valid and it was paid. Shortly thereafter, the file was given to our Collection Agent to recover the loss. I spoke to Ms*** on August 10, 2015. We have no record of Ms*** contacting us, subsequent to the claim being filed, prior to that date. I explained to her that our records showed she was an indemnitor on the bond and that if she did not believe she signed the indemnity agreement she could send us a signature affidavit and copies of some signature samples on legal documents for our considerationI also explained the file was assigned to our collection agent and any disputes or payments needed to be addressed directly with them pursuant to terms of the contract between Platte River and the collector. She advised she did not want to contact the collector and I told her she could send the information directly to me and I would forward it. I also emailed her a copy of the indemnity agreement and bond that day. We are willing to review whatever information Ms*** would like to provide but do date she has not provided us with any information that would suggest she is not an indemnitor on our bond. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you, ***SENIOR CLAIM SPECIALISTAspen Commons, Suite 300Middleton, WI 53562direct 608.829.4256email [email protected]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I contacted Platte River Insurance / Capital Transamerica Corp / Jomax Collection services on numerous occasions this year and no one contacted me about this issue but Jomax collections until now; I assume since I had to get the Revdex.com involved the company decided to cooperate. I would be more than happy to provide a list of the names of reps within Platte River insurance / Capital Transamerica Corp whom I've spoken to who told me that someone would be contacting me in which they never did. I have never signed/ consented to any documents pertaining to a insurance bond. I did speak to [redacted] on August 10, 2015 for the first time; and she clearly explain to me that she could not do anything and this issue was in the hands of Jomax collections; I then express to her my concern being that this was a debit created from Platte River Ins. and forwarded to Jomax and with that being said It is only natural for the company Platte River/ Capital Transamerica to assist in this matter. However, [redacted] was very nonchalant about the issue and in a hurry to end the conversation. During our conversation I also explained to her that if possible I would like to deal directly with someone within Platte River / Capital Transamerica Corp because the rep by the name of (Ginsberg) with Jomax collections conduct is inappropriate and unacceptable and I have requested to speak with management about his conduct and I'm continuously rerouted to Mr. Ginsberg; so for that reason I will not be discussing anything else with Jomax Collections. Futhermore, the comment from [redacted] about never hearing from me; of course she would not have heard from me because I didn't know this was on my credit until recently. Pat also mention letters sent out, how would I respond to any letters if I don't know anything about this bond and apparently they don't have my address on  their file. I don't have a problem with sending and signature affidavit in which I'm in the process of doing so; please let me know in a timely manner any other information I would need to send. Lastly, I have cooperated in a professional manner and I'm expecting to have this issue addressed in a timely professional manner. KM
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I contacted Platte River Insurance company, because I pulled my credit report and found out that I had a credit item listed by Jomax Recovery collection services for a defaulted bond in the amount of $5,409. The credit item was given to Jomax collection services from Platte River Insurance. I contacted Platte River Insurance and explained to a rep by the name of [redacted] that I have no knowledge of this account and I am requesting it to be removed from my credit profile, she told me that she couldn't do anything and I needed to contact Jomax collection services. I am requesting the Revdex.com to get involved and have this issue resolved because this is an account that is not mine. If this issue is not resolved I will be contacting other authorities and filing more complaints on Platte River Ins. company and Jomax until this issue is resolved.Desired Settlement: Removed from credit report
