Please be advised that we are familiar with [redacted]'s complaint against our company. Ms. [redacted] reports that her neighbor and her son had witnessed one of our vehicles hitting her son's basketball hoop with the rear end of our vehicle on 2 separate occasions. As far as we know, she only...

contacted us one more time on July 26, 2016, which was the incident that her neighbor supposedly witnessed based on what she said when she called that day. Our supervisor investigated the incident the day it happened by speaking to the driver. The driver claimed that he never struck the hoop with the vehicle, as the truck would have been too far away from the hoop to strike it. The vehicle that collects the trash on that particular street is an automated collection vehicle which has an arm that extends out from the truck to close on the receptacle into the body and place it back where it stood. The vehicle needs to be about five to six feet away from the cart to have room to extend the arm. Based on the photos that she sent to us via email, the cart was in front of her son's hoop. The truck would have been five to six feet away from the cart to have possibly struck the hoop with the rear of the vehicle. She claims that her son took a video recording of our truck driving away from the scene, but we have never seen this video. Ms. [redacted] has provided us with nothing, but heresy to substantiate her claim. If Ms. [redacted] had provided evidence that proved our responsibility for the damage to the hoop, we would have paid for it as we have done countless times for other residents in other communities for similar incidents.
