Review: On 30/8/2014 I registered on [redacted] to bid on Capitoline Auctions for an art deco gold jade or jadeite ring and won it for $375.00 plus buyer premiums if $78.75 plus shipping $15.00 for a total of $468.75.I paid for the item the next day on 9/1/2014 via [redacted] which came out of my credit card.I received the item and saw that the ring was in fact not jade or jadeite as described by the seller. I examined the stone under 30 & 200 magnification and saw it was not jade. To be sure, I took the ring to a gemologist who examined the ring and confirmed that it was quartz and not jade or jadeite.I called the seller and spoke to a man. I explained I wanted to return the ring for a refund and he argued with me saying he had examined the ring and saw it had inclusions and it was definitely jade and refused a return. Then started a series of emails back and forth without him wanting to examine the ring, saying he was sure it was jade and if it was jade or jadeite then it would be worth in the vicinity of $50,000.I opened a not as described case with [redacted] and sent the ring back. The seller reported me to [redacted] and opened a dispute for non payment which caused me to be suspended from bidding on [redacted], thereby violating their policy because I paid for the ring. This has injured my buying reputation with [redacted] and the seller won't take the dispute off. Seller claims he never received payment and that [redacted] have refunded monies to me which is not true. He refuses to take off the [redacted] dispute preventing me from bidding. The ring is at post office waiting for seller to sign for it but so far seller has not picked up the ring despite post office notice to do so.Desired Settlement: I want them to take off the dispute off [redacted] for non payment of the ring because the ring has been paid for.They are to refund my payment for an item they advertised as jade or jadeite which it is not. They should have the ring examined by a gemologist and send me proof it's genuine jade or jadeite and I will be willing to keep the ring.The seller needs to inform [redacted] they made an error and stop injuring my bidding status.
