The customer signed a certificate of completion (attached) on Feb 10th The certificate of completion states "I have reviewed all of the work performed and completed by Capstone Construction CoInc, an independent contractor and certify that all work performed and materials supplied by Capstone Construction CoInc are in accordance with the signed work authorization and have been completed to my satisfaction." Even with the customer agreeing the work was performed to their satisfaction we heard over a year ago they were concerned about a couple of items Our supervisor made numerous calls to the customer that were not returned He went so far as to stop by the house The son was home and was cordial while our supervisor began looking at items The son called [redacted] who then wanted to speak to our supervisor He proceeded to verbally accost our supervisor and cuss him out He ended it by telling our supervisor to "get the hell off his property" Following this we filed the job away and have not heard anything until this complaint was filed

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:They did show up to my house but they did not inform us that they would come byMy wife had just gotten out of surgery that morning and were were extremely stressedOn top of this my wife and I both have PTSD from the fire and extreme anxietyI did yell at them and tell them to leave but after a little while I was able to go outside and apologize to themI asked them to come back at a planned time and they said they would come back the next dayThey never came back and never called to schedule another time for them to comeI signed the certificate of completion with the understanding that they would finish and fix the things that still needed to be done.Also there is a year warranty on the work done to my homeThey need to come out and do the warranty repairs at the very leastI would like them to schedule a time for me to show them what needs to be repaired and finishedBecause of mine and my wives medical situations we cant handle people showing up unexpectedly at our homeWe had tried to contact them many other times and had never received any contact back until they showed up unannounced at out homeI can take and provide pictures of all the work they needs to be fixed if needed Sincerely, [redacted]

There were several areas that we feel were untruthful in the customers response back. After walking the property with our supervisor and owner we agreed to come back after the weather warmed up to perform the exterior painting. We attempted several times to contact the customer to perform the work and our calls were not returned. That led our supervisor to stop by the residence to try and get it wrapped up. Upon inspection that day, somebody went through and pulled all of the caulk out of the areas that were going to be painted (see pictures). That is when the customer proceeded to cuss out our supervisor. Contrary to what Mr*** is saying, we did not set up a meeting the next day to come back. To be frank, our supervisor felt very threatened and that it was a hostile environment. Unfortunately, this was not the first time threats have been made. During the course of construction there was vandalism including tearing off a handrail (see picture) and messages left on the building (see picture) with hostile language toward the owner of Capstone. With all of this in minds, I would need some reassurance that my employees are not going to be verbally assaulted or threatened in any way. I will not send my employees into a hostile work environment where they feel threatened.Another area that was not factual dealt with Capstone's warranty. Capstone provides a standard one year warranty (this work was performed around to years ago). I have attached a copy of our standard warranty. I would also like to emphasize that we have not heard from Mr*** following these encounters that occurred back in November of 2016. In our line of work it is a necessity that our phone is answered hours a day days a week. We have not received calls from Mr***.I have additional pictures of all of the items listed. I am responding to a complaint sent to you from one of our former customers. They had some complaints about the tile work, granite countertop, and an acrylic tub issue that we installed a year ago last May.  They told me that overall they were happy with the job but there were a few things they...

had issues with. I personally set up a time to meet with them and went and looked at their issues. I agreed that there were several things that could use attention, and agreed to set up one of my crews to take care of these things. I also told them that there was one item they were complaining about that I thought was acceptable and didn't need fixing. THey seemed to be agreeable to that so I set up the crew to take care of it. When I checked with the crew after the time to repair was past he informed me he had made the repairs and that they were happy when he left. He told me he had fixed the squeaky tub, cleaned the granite countertop,  removed and replace or reset the misaligned tiles, and regrouted the reset tile. He had gone through the invoices from the job and found the invoice for the grout that was purchased for the tile, but when he got there he found there was some of the original grout left over that was the same as what he had brought with him. He went ahead and used the original grout that was used to do the job in the first place. He told me that when he left she was happy with the work and he had told her that the grout was still wet, so it was a little darker and should lighten up to match when dry. He said to call if for some reason it didn't match.  That was the last we heard from the customer until we got this complaint from you. We are still willing to address the grout if it didn't dry the same color. Review: Capstone installed flooring after water damage. It was perfect, until a crew member left a gouge in the middle of the floor from moving the refrigerator. They tried to repair it, which left a square with a glossy finish in the middle of the floor. They replaced the linoleum by putting new linoleum on top of it. We specifically requested someone with experience doing this. We had that person one day, then they left two inexperienced people to do the job. We have gouges, bubbles, wrinkles, cuts that don't go all the way to the wall, seams that have space, broken trim filled in with white caulking, trim not put back properly, my brand new door seal hacked off-visibly, glue on walls, glue in laundry room sink, gum left on edge of cupboard, and everywhere a chair or table is sitting they are sinking into the floor it is so soft. I called the foreman on Saturday morning and told him to not have those guys back and the problems we are having. He sent the guy back on Monday and never bothered to call us. My husband had to call him on Tuesday. This company was recommended by our insurance company, which we will also be contacting.Desired Settlement: We want the floor replaced by a professional flooring person and the trim restored to it's original condition.
