While I appreciate Mr. [redacted] account on the situation , our view is somewhat different. He did in fact come in and discuss originally with our manger [redacted]. During his meeting, he clearly did not treat [redacted] in a manner he himself would like to have been treated. It appears this goes back to a time...

before I owned the restaurant. As a result, I met with Mr. [redacted] and tried to accommodate his wishes. In fact I explained that I would indeed honor two of three gift cards in question, with a value of 150.00, at my own business expense, not as a credit through the sales process. Relying on records provided by the previous owner, we found no record of the card ending in [redacted], and I explained I was unable to honor that card unless proof of purchase could not be found. Sadly, at times a restaurant owner is unable to please guests in a rare circumstances. In our conversations, Mr. [redacted] continues to show a level of disrespect to our staff that I have rarely ever seen in my 40 years of operating restaurants. I believe in his mind he believes he has had been wronged, in mine , I have gone out of my way to try and appease his wishes despite the fact I did not sell him the cards in the first place.
