I'm very interested in pursuing this complaint further can you please advise me on how to handle it so that something more is done about itThe seriousness of the danger that I and my young children faced in the vehicle sold to me by capuano's is realThe repairs they made to the vehicle or sub standard, and we're done to tamper with safety features that protect drivers from driving an unsafe vehicle An example is the brakes have a grinding metal that when the brakes are worn down the brakes have a grinding sound However the event that plate that metal down away from the brakes so that even though the brakes were bad you couldn't tell when you were driving Please advise as how I can edit my complaint to receive a more productive outcomeRespectfully [redacted] If an apology is not an acceptable Desired outcome, Then perhaps he can refund some of the money that I spent on the truck and the repairsThank you for your help in this matter

Its pretty simple we do not install customer supplies parts just like mcdonalds will not cook meat that I bring themI do not know any garages or dealerships that would install parts supplied from customers its a simple warranty and liability issueWeve gone around before with this lady and she still came with her own partMaybe someday [redacted] will open a garage where the can install outside parts

We never sold a truck to this lady so I got no idea what she is talking about

Review: I,[redacted], purchased a 1996 [redacted] from[redacted], an employee of Capuannas Automotive in Winsted Connecticut on November 2014. When I purchased the vechical I was aware that it was a very old truck and would need repairs down the road. Driving the truck shortly after purchasing it I noticed that the brakes took an excessively long time to respond when applying the brakes. I brought it back to Capuannas on December 2014 to request a repair. The shop kept the truck for 2 days and did no repairs. I then took it to another repair shop who informed me that the brakes were fully worn and that the brake replacement indicators had been tampered with so that the brakes would not make a grinding noise to alert that they needed to be replaced. I then went back to Capuannas to tell them that this was the case. I had a different repair shop replace the front brakes as Capuannas was unwilling to repair my vehicle for over a week. When the front brakes were repaved the mechanic told me that there was so much rot in the undercarriage of the truck that the truck was junk. He noticed and told me of several indications that the truck had been improperly welded to fudge quality repairs. I was told that the shocks needed to be repaved as the current ones were rusting off.

While driving the truck with my two children in the cab I began to smell a fool oder and the engine was giving me trouble. I had the truck towed back to Capuannas on December 2014 to have repairs made to make the truck safe to drive. Capuannas agreed to take the truck and repair the exhaust system and other repairs so that carbon monoxide would no longer leech into the cab of the truck. The truck sat at Capuannas until January 3 2014 when the dealer had the police tow the truck as an abandoned vehicle.

Capuannas sold me this truck knowing that it would not pass emissions, and was unsafe for the road.

Capuannas sold me this truck knowing that the trucks safety features had been tampered with and that shooty repair work was done to hide gross defects in the truck.

Capuannas sold me this truck knowing that it was junk.

Capuannas refused to do any repairs on this vehicle after purchase and held the truck for an extended period of time with the false representation that the truck was in fact on their schedule for repair.

In addition to the $5100.00 cash I paid [redacted] for the truck, I paid taxes for the sale at the[redacted], paid for insuring the vehicle, and registering the vehicle, and incurred towing charges and a ticket for an abandoned vehicle. [redacted]'s behavior was of willful neglect and unnecessary adversarial conduct.

He caused me to be out thousands of dollars, to be without a working truck, police involvement, risk of injury and aggravation.Desired Settlement: I would like to see [redacted] lose his accreditation as a mechanic as he is clearly uninterested in the safety of his customers and has bad ethics and is willing to do below standard work on cars for a quick buck.

Review: I went to the Capuano Automotive in [redacted] CT to charge fully Air Condition in my vehicle. Paid my bill $120.00 + CT Tax. When I got home from the garage I notice no change in AC performing, so I called the owner, [redacted] and he told me to bring the vehicle back. I brought it back next day in the morning , came back afternoon to pick up my [redacted]. Well, I have been informed that the AC no longer works and they do not know how to fix it and I should take the vehicle to the dealer. I was hoping that the owner will not charge my Credit Card since the Air Condition stopped working! After I have been charge I called [redacted] Capuano and politely ( I repeat this--POLITELY) ask for refund. And then he started coursing me, using vulgar and inappropriate language. I calmly asked him to calm down and talk to me like civilized people and found the solution. He kept coursing!!! Finally I firmly but politely asked him for refund. He told me that he worked on the car and he must be paid for it, I answer that the AC worked when I brought the vehicle and now is not, broken, no cool or cold air at all. I suggested to split the $120.00 + $7.60 CT Tax 50/50. Again, [redacted] Capunao was not happy and let me know thru the phone again. I was shocked that the owner can talk this way to costumers. I am very unhappy with the business I have done with Mr.Capuano and the way he talked to me.Desired Settlement: For obvious reason I do not want my vehicle to be repair in this garage, so I would like to have a refund of $120.00 + CT Tax from Capuano Automotive.

Told Customer there is other problems with car , a/c is still charged, Customer barley speaks english. The work we did is 100% as always, car has a short in the wiring.

I am rejecting this response because:

1st, when I brought the vehicle to the garage, the A/C was working, it needed the new charge only. 2nd my English is not perfect but I clearly communicated with Mr. [redacted] Capuano. When I receive the vehicle with completely non working A/C (the vents just blow hot air now) and I complained he still understood me very well. When I asked for refund Mr. [redacted] Capuano , THE BUSINESS Owner!!! used poor English language and poor manners and cursed me out and treated me like I have not been treated never,ever before. Also, because my not perfect spoken English I think the business owner just want to take advantage of me. I am asking about the refund of the money which I paid to the garage for work done on my A/C I do not care if there is a short (which Capuano caused) or not. I paid for work done and fix my vehicle not to hear that I have the short in the vehicle and they can't fix it. If they can't fix it they should not charge me for the work!!! Simply as that. I do not want the Capuano Automotive to touch my vehicle anymore but sure I want the refund in 100% In Mr.Capuano response he did not mention his costumer response to me, and that just trigered me the most.
