Car Center of Waldorf Reviews (1)

Review: I bought a car on 6/18 in the early evening. my budget was not assessed with the bank. I mistakenly signed the car contract. I called the next morning requesting the dealer overturn the contract, since the funds had not yet been distributed( id only had the vehicle less than 12 hours at this point and it was still under "rental" agreement) and that the contract was also incorrect as I did not make any down payment. the contract says I did. so the contract is incorrect. I was informed by my lawyer that car dearlerships are not legally allowed to sell a car off the premises without having received a down payment prior to receipt of the car. they stated there is a promissary note signed by me however, I do not have a copy of this said promissary note, nor did I sign anything authorizing them to receive any funds from y accounts. the contract is incorrect, and for them to have paperwork that I do not have a copy of , and their lack of desire to correct is exemplary of unethical business practices.Desired Settlement: the contract be overturned and the vehicle returned.

Response:

The afore mentioned customer came to our dealership to purchase a car. She was here for several hours trying to purchase an infinity a vehicle she picked out. We worked for several hours trying to secure financing for the vehicle, including switching to another vehicle that was agreeable to this woman. This transaction took place over a seven hour period. There was no rushing into this transaction. Finally she went through finance and took delivery of the vehicle. The next day she called and said she wanted to return the vehicle. That evening she came back to the dealership and spoke to a manager. When confronted with the option of exchanging the vehicle she opted to stay in the infinity. After she spoke with the manager she did not leave mad or run out of here. She hung out on our back lot for a while socializing with our sales staff. Not mad, not upset, not disgruntled, but a proud owner of an infinity. Next day, another call to return the vehicle. She said she called the bank to cancel the loan and they said to call the dealer, since the contract was already cashed. The bank also called the dealer and wanted to know if they would help. We offered to bring her in and lower her payments. She didnt want to listen to our offer. The bank contacted her twice to see if they could help, to no avail. There was no pressure. The was no rental, it is a straight forward purchase. There was complete, and absolutely full disclosure throughout the entire buying process.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

There are multiple lies made in the statement from the dealership. I was not offered an exchanget, they denied! [redacted] stated there was nothing he could do to help me. I requested he sell the car for me, and sign a contract stating that he would do that, he denied, saying it was a "liability" and couldnt do that. He lied to my face making me believe that I had to deal with the lender in order to overturn the contract which is why I left calmly, nor am I a type of person to create a scene! [redacted] followed me outside to further lie about not being able to do anything while I discussed the conversation with [redacted], the salesperson. They did not offer to lower payments. They offered to pay my first month payment, I declined, because I was requesting that the contract be overturned. Any type of payment is not going to help. I have the paperwork showing the rental agreement! They have harassed and threatened me multiple times requesting $1000 for down payment. The contract in itself is incorrect because I did not give or authorize any funds to Car Center. However in the contract it states I made a $1000 payment. And so now they have tried to contact me for this money! This company is UNETHICAL, and MALICIOUS!! During this day there it was pouring down rain, and when I stated to [redacted] I wanted to leave to get my son some food, she insisted I stay because they had pizza for us to have and because it was raining so hard. When she stepped away, she requested to a co-worker to stay with me and keep me entertained, basically, making sure I could not leave. I was at this place from approximately 11a to 3p, not seven hours! This dealership did what dealerships are trained to do, they sweet talked me, they manipulated my thought process, and they made large profit! They have created a fraudulent contract, they are harassing and threatening me, and something needs to be done! Ive been lied to by the dealership as well as the dealer services of [redacted], there is no reason for me to speak with the rep that Car Center deals with! I have been wronged, manipulated, and to show credibility this dealership needs to overturn their fraudulent and horrific contract!

Regards,
