To whom it may concern, *** *** did contact us from ***He filled out the credit application and was approved with several banksWhen speaking to Mr*** he was told to bring two recent check stubs, ten references with names, addresses, phone
numbers, and proof of residency (current utility bill)Mr*** was told that if he didn't have these things we would not release the vehicleOn Saturday when he showed up he (Mr***) presented the items that we asked forHe was sold a warranty and refused Gap Insurance. Mr*** was told about the customer interview from the bank and he went home happyWhen the paperwork was sent to the lender, they called to inform us that the check stubs were fraudulent and they would not accept the deal based on the fraudulent check stubsWe then called Mr*** to inform him of the issues with the stubsHe then went on to say that they were not fraudulentSo we sent them to another lender for verification and we were told the same thingAgain we called Mr*** and explained the problemThe bank asked for a copy of the bank statement to prove incomeMr*** said that he would send a from last year which could not prove income as stated on his application. At the request of Mr***, we sent his deal to a bank that gave him a pre-approval since he was a former customerI called Mr*** and told him the good newsHe then began to renegotiate the price of the vehicleI told him that we made a deal and he should honor itHe was persistent so I went to the owner. After speaking with the owner we gave Mr*** what he wanted and sent the paperwork via UPS. Three days later Mr*** called us from another dealership and said his friend went over the paperwork and determined that he is still paying too much for the truckHe also had questions about the warrantyThe contract we sent was substantially lessHe then said that he would sign the new contracts and send them back. After not receiving the contracts or a call from Mr*** for several days we called to ask if the paperwork was sent but he would not answer the phoneThree days later we got in touch with him and he said he wasn't sending the paperwork unless we came down to $***We then asked him to bring the truck back and he refusedAfter further discussion with the owner he decided to let him have the truck for $*** a profit loser. So we sent more paperwork exactly the way he wanted it and he sent it backOnce we received the paper work we called Mr*** about a missing signature and he said to file it electronicallyWhile speaking with Mr *** we proceeded to file the paperwork electronically, Mr*** again asked questions the warranty and seemed satisfied and continued with the processonce we were finished, he said thanksTwo days after the deal was submitted Mr*** was called by the bank for the customer interview and told them he was not keeping the carWe then called Mr*** over and over, again for several days he would not answer his phoneWe then called his brother and his brother had him call usMr *** then informed us that he didn't want the truck and expected a full refundMr*** said that he would not bring it back and the only way we could get it is to set up a meeting in ** and bring down payment We asked him to bring it back and we will work out everythingHe then said he would notAfter several more days we again called Mr*** and asked him to bring back the truckHe said the only way to get it is to come to PAI told him that we would send someone to pick up the truckHe then said that he would meet us at a location that he gaveHe insisted that if we didn't have his down payment he would not release the truckWe explained to Mr*** that you will get a refund minus the expenses and fees incurred in the dealHe then gave us the address said he would be there and I told him we would get someone there to meet himThe truck was picked up by *** *** and brought back to *** by a towing contractorUpon receiving the vehicle, we went over it for damageThere was very little cosmetic damage however, when we drove the truck around back it sounded like metal scrapingAfter taking the truck to the mechanic we found that the brakes, rotors, and caliper on all four wheels were not what was on the vehicleThe state of *** requires that we pass a safety inspection, and the equipment that was on the truck never would have passedWe have all receipts including from the state inspector to verify the condition of the equipmentMr*** did call us again and I told him we are working out the refund after all costHowever, he went on to threaten us by going to social media, the Revdex.com, and "find anyway to bring you down"! We have all paperwork pertaining to this dealWe never want things like this to happen and we always work above board, however we realize every deal is not to be madeSincerely,Timothy D***
