Vehicle sold with NO heat at a cost of $4,000 and he wants to charge me repair itI purchased a 2006 Chevy Equinox on 2/8/14 and the dealer never told me that the vehicle had no heat, Upon investigation, I found this to be a problem that will cost close to $1,000 to repair and when I contacted the dealer, he said he will repair it, and CHARGE me, what it will cost him to repair it. He sold me the vehicle "As Is" and now I am stuck with having to get this repaired on my own. This repair involves the dismantling of the entire Dashboard and there are MANY wires and connections and I do not trust this dealer to repair it correctly.Desired SettlementI have an appointment at Balise Chevy to have this issue repaired and if possible, I want the dealer to reimburse me for the cost of this repair. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@carcredit1.nethi I am very sorry that mr [redacted] was unsatisfied with his purchase .however mr [redacted] purchased this suv for 4000.00 dollars we where selling this suv for 5900 and mr [redacted] was a where of the selling price but kept coming in asking use to sell it for 4000.00 dollars we told him that the heat was not working and at that price we wood have to sell the car for parts or restoration with no warranty at all he said he has done this before and wood fix it him self .we still said no .mr [redacted] came back on a saturday witch I [redacted] was not working and spoke with joe a sales rep .joe called me and asked if we wood sell the suv for parts or restoration with no warranty for 4000.00 I told him yes .when I came in mr ardent was thanking me for letting him buy the suv for 4000.00 and said he will fix it himself I told him and had him signe a purchase order saying that the car was a parts and restoration sale and we wood not have any warranty at all.he said yes I no. this is not are normal customer he came back for over 2 months asking to buy that suv for that price he was fully aware of wat was going on.mr [redacted] sent me a email asking me to cover some of the cost of the parts I told him to bring the car back on monday 2 day after he purchased the car and I wood give hime back is moony before the car go to the d.o.t mass rmv on monday he sent back a reply saying no that he was just checking he will keep the car .I have these emails still. if there are any more ? please fill free to email or call me .my cell #XXXXXXXXXXX or [redacted]@carcredit1.netConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr. [redacted] told me that was "initially" selling the vehicle for $3,000 "cash" and $4,500 if I was to "finance" the vehicle which I did NOT want to do. About 2 weeks later, I came back in and was told that somebody had placed a "down payment" on the vehicle. I told him that I would offer him $4,000 "CASH on the spot" in which case his employee called him and spoke to him and he gave me the vehicle for $4,000 cash and when I asked about the down payment that was placed on the vehicle, his employee told me that a down payment only holds the vehicle for a certain amount of time and that the person who had allegedly placed the down payment on the vehicle, had not picked it up within that certain amount of time. I was NEVER informed of the vehicle NOT having heat and NEVER took the vehicle for a test ride which was MY error. I HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS TO SUPPORT THESE NUMBERS AS WELL AND CAN PROVIDE THEM IF NEEDED. After the vehicle was sold, and I was placing the license plates on the vehicle, his employee called me BACK into the office and had me RE-SIGN a paper (Buyers Guide) in which he told me he had "forgot" to have me sign earlier (I did not know what this was at the time) stating that the vehicle was being sold "as is". There was NEVER any money put down on the vehicle because I paid cash "in full" and according to the bill of sale, there was $342.50 put down. The bill of sale ALSO states that there is a balance of $4,000, which was the agreed upon SALE price of the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] seemed very cautious regarding the sale of this vehicle but I thought he was just making sure that all of the I's were dotted and the T's were crossed. I will submit the paperwork I have, with this response.

Have had the vehicle about 2 1/2 months and every time I bring up an issue he refuses to do anything about it. Been having issues since the purchaseI purchased a 2001 chevy Cavalier from this dealer about 2 1/2 months, in the beginning when I first check it out I had started it and had trouble starting it, I was told it was because it was sitting for awhile. down the road I had been complaining to him about the issue getting worse and he told me what to do I did it and it continued to Progressively get worse and worse come to find out it was the fuel pump, I also now have electrical problems, I found out the my body frame is rotted out. He had told me in the beginning when I was signing papers with him that he was going to include an Extended Warranty when an issue came up that was covered then he told me that I didnt have the warranty. when in the beginning he told me I did.. I had lost a brake line and when I brought it to the shop he had told me that I needed to make an appointment to have it fixed If I did that I would have been dead.. The line literally blew apart...He pretty much saw me coming and took advantage of me and SOLD ME A [redacted]!!!I not have called him about anything because of the way he treats me and says that I need to make an appointment and that I need to pay for the repairs which I shouldnt have to do because HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON IT AND THEN WHEN I NEEDED TO USE IT I DIDNT HAVE IT... I have only had this vehicle about 2 1/2 months. and All I am doing is running into problems with it he had told me that he went through the vehicle before he sold it to me and he told me that everything was in good shape when actually it was NOT in good shape, If he had checked it out the way he should have he would have noticed the Body Frame Rot.. and Obviously he didnt because he didnt go through the vehicle like he said did.. I just want my problems fixed through him with out being charged and have it covered under the warranty that he said I had and turned around and said I didnt when I needed it. He is someone that DOES NOT back up his vehicles when his customers have problems.I have already dished out $450.00 for the Fuel Pump + Labor plus a New Fuel Filter which was about $20.00 In the short time I have had this I have spent more money on fixing the car then my first 2 car payments... I JUST WANT MY VEHICLE FIXED WITHOUT ARGUMENTS FROM HIM AND WITH OUT BEING CHARGED... I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF BEFORE HE SOLD ME THE VEHICLE....I ALSO HAVE A EVAP SYSTEM LEAK WHICH IS CAUSING ME TO SUCK THROUGH GAS LIKE A PIG...I JUST WANT IT FIXED AND I ALSO WANT THE MONEY THAT I HAD DISH OUT FOR THE FUEL PUMP REIMBURSED CONSIDERING HE TOLD ME ITS NOT THE FUEL PUMP WHEN II ACTUALLY WAS ON TOP OF ALL THAT I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO HAVE IT FIXED WHICH COST ME $72.00Desired SettlementFIX ITBusiness Response hi car credit1st sold mr [redacted] a used car with a basic warranty that covers just inspection .we also offer extended warrentys to are customers at a cost to them mr [redacted] chose not to purchase a extended warranty .mr [redacted] called carcredit1st and told us that his car did not start we told him to have it towed in to carcredit1st that was the last we heard from him .carcredit1st offers these extended warranty just for the resones we simplify with the customers that don't by an extended warranty and then have a breakdown .however carcredit1st is not going to pay for any work that the customer said he had down his car passed inspection and was well past 7days from purchase .please feel fee to contact [redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX xt ** or by email [redacted]@carcredit1.netConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I DO NOT ACCEPT THE RESPONSE FROM THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS. 1. He is totally lying about the extended warranty, Why would I refuse to get the warranty?? He point blank told me that he includes that.. 2. He should have never sold me a vehicle with a ROTTED BODY FRAME!!! I have electrical problems also have a evap leak... 3. He is unprofessional, he sells cars that should not be on the road, he tells me to make an appointment for a BUSTED BRAKE LINE.. Which is a total SAFETY HAZZARD.. He DOES NOT BACK UP ANYTHING THAT HE SELLS.. HE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS...

They owe me three thousand dollars for a deposit that has not been refunded and it has been over three months they've been holding my money.I went to purchase a vehicle, the financing did not go through and I'm waiting on a deposit refund. I ended up purchasing a vehicle elsewhere and have been trying to contact them regarding this situation and no one has an answer as to why I don't have my money back. It is against the law to hold a customers deposit in the state of Massachusetts and I need this rectified immediately.Desired SettlementI would like my three thousand dollars back that I initially left as a down payment on a vehicle. I would also like to be compensated for the several days of work missed traveling back and forth trying to get this "financial discrepency" resolved.
