Review: I was sold a vehicle (VIN # [redacted] by the independent dealership in February 2013. I have not received a registraion for this vehicle or license plates for this vehicle as of November 8, 2013. I have been receiving window stickers and now temp registraion stickers with gaps in active dates. According to CA DMV, the title is still in the name of the previous owner and still has a lien on it by [redacted]. The dealership manager ([redacted]) has been telling me since March that the proper paperwork has been submitted and registration will be mailed to me in a couple of weeks or next week. I have made multiple trips to the dealership to resolve this issue.Originally DMV said it needed a CA Smog and fees paid. I took vehicle back to dealership for smog and then DMV said there was a suspension on the registration for failing to show proof of insurance in Nov, 2012 (before I bought the vehicle). I paid the re-instatment fee of $14.00 and now DMV says they haven't received title from dealership.I bought this vehicle in good faith. [redacted] bank approved a loan for me to purchase it and they don't even have title to vehicle after 9 months. I have also contacted the bank and they are looking into it also.Desired Settlement: I want the title turned over to CA DMV ASAP. I want clear title transferred to [redacted] bank.I want plates issued for the vehicleI want the registration for the vehicleI do not believe I am asking for too much. These are simple items that should have transpired prior to [redacted] releasing the funds to the dealership for the vehicle.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from [redacted] in early September, it has been 4 months and I have yet to receive any DMV documents including registration, license plates and current tags. The vehicle had a temporary registration slip which expired 90 days after the sale date, the exact time span a dealership has to process the application, transfer documents and registration fees with the DMV. The dealership has failed to conduct any and all contractual obligations. After purchase I expected the dealership to provide a clean title to the bank which granted me the car loan (TD Auto Finance) when I contacted the bank they declared that the dealership never turned over the vehicle's title or certificate of ownership. I also went to DMV to try to get the registration and plates but was informed that the vehicle was never transfered in my name and that they were waiting for the dealership to provide title documents and pay fees necessary to process the necessary paperwork. I have attempted to contact the dealership and the two salesmen [redacted] and Marcus but neither have been responsive. I did however receive a text stating that the dealership was out of business and was referred to [redacted], an attorney who allegedly represents the dealership. After countless hours researching the car dealership, I discovered that the dealership is not out of business but only closed certain locations including the one on 502 South Coast Highway. I was able to call the DMV occupational licensing unit and they informed me that the business (License# [redacted] CA Company# [redacted]) had a location in Oceanside and Temecula that was still up and running. For those of you in a similar situation the phone number I was given as a point of contact was ###-###-####. But regardless of the countless times I spent calling (several numbers) I have been ignored or hung up on. This dealership misrepresented the fees required for registration. I was able to access the DMV penalty fees and learned that it has not been registered since 2010 and that the fees are over $1950.00, I was charged $375 for DMV registration and $15 for transfer purposes. So I was under the impression that, that was the only fees due in regards to registration, the worse part is that the DMV informed me that they haven't received the $375 only the $15 dollars to begin the transfer, sadly the vehicle status is currently expired with excessive overdue penalties and progress is still "pending". I purchased this car in good faith and in doing so I have paid $1600 to my car loan, relinquished my 2007 Rx8 that I traded in as a down payment (priced way below its value), and I have still no legal rights or ownership over this vehicle. I have recently found out that according to the CA vehicle code: the dealership overcharged me for emissions testing and smog certificate which was never provided, and also charged an amount that exceeded legal amount for documentation processing. The careless behavior conducted by Car Gallery dealership: to include each sales person, especially [redacted] Fathi's neglect for responsibility, lack of progress, and failure to complete or satisfy any service obligations has become the emphasis of my complaint. Their actions which violate the CA vehicle codes undermines the standards of this department, their integrity and quality as a business is nothing more than insulting and becomes a catalyst for financial deficiency towards each potential victim. Their unlawful behavior disregards a mass of devastating outcomes and with this complain I hope to announce the need that this dealership should be held accountable.

I would like the dealership to complete all actions necessary to legitimize a transfer of ownership to me, such as: paying the existing penalties + fees for the vehicle registration, process necessary application + documents with the DMV, turn over title of vehicle to TD Auto Finance LLC bank, and refund the overcharged amounts stated in the contract which I paid for. Consequences of such neglect by a business should be in place.
