talked to him. He needed financing, which we do not do in house. We submitted his information and received approval for financing. Called potential client informed him he was approved and the rate offered, he wanted a lower rate, which we do not control. We explained that, then he wanted the price of the car lowered, which we had already done prior to financing request submitted. I am rejecting this response because:Information given is inaccurate. Dealership representative was very wishy washy on details when original deal was struck. Dealership also claimed car was sold to another buyer when it was in fact not. This was at cost of time off work arranging to pick up unit.

This is a terrible place to buy a vehicle from. Buyer beware...we were sold a vehicle that had many problems that they tried to hide. Then we were told that they would fix them...car was sold with less than 2% brakes which is illegal; there was a squeaking noise and was told it was just a pulley. Turns out is was the serpentine belt. Was provided a 90 day warranty that did not cover the repairs. Also found out that the car had 3 broken motor mounts. Fortunately the warranty will cover but not after spending several hours with the warranty company and the dealer because the paperwork was never submitted. Oil change and transmission service had to be done within days of purchasing vehicle.

Review: Dealership advertised a car on craigslist. I found it and called, submitted credit info and applied for financing. I am in reno, so was facilitating a purchase at a distance. I have family in Modesto however, and travel there often. I was approved through their financing and a company they work with. We agreed on price, and all particulars, and had appointment set to put down payment and finalize purchase for monday the 7th. I get a call the night before saying it was sold. I had scheduled time off of work, etc to make drive and purchase car.I discover from family in area, that it is still there today on the lot. So, I call and inquire about it again, and just get a yes, its still there, it never was sold, then hung up on by the same lady, Tofa, that I have always and only dealt with.So, she has all my credit info, my references, pay stubs, drivers license, etc, and other sensitive info. Why did they take all my info, arrange financing, and agree on a price if they never had any intention of actually selling me the car? I was jerked around for 4 days doing this, getting info they wanted, and took time off of work to get this done. I lost money and time in this ordeal, and took a big hit to my credit by having all this done. This is not how a dealership should operate.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed for lost time and efforts. I want the credit inquiry removed from my credit and credit restored.
