This is the worst place ever purchase a 2003 [redacted], had less than 3 month's transmission went in it.would have thought to keep there business and me as a customer they would have worked out some type of agreement. But they didn't, only came to repro the truck. Never again. .,,,

I recently had Car N Go install keyless entry, remote starter and new radio. I could not be more pleased with the outcome! They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Great customer service! I highly recommend them.

I consigned my vehicle with them. When it sold they refused to show me the Sales Contract showing the figures and they would not give me a Bill of Sale. Their Math did not add up and we came out getting less than agreed. They used "Privacy" as the excuse to not show us any paperwork. They claim nobody has ever asked for any paperwork. I find that hard to believe. I will not ever do business with them and will advise anyone that asks me to Not Trust Them.

I see why this place has an A rating. Great prices, great service, and very professional.

I recently had some work done on a car that I purchased through them and really can't say anything bad. It's a family business and you can really feel that.

Review: My husband purchased a remote started installation from Car N Go (through [redacted]) for me for Christmas. To ensure this was a surprise gift, we switched vehicles one day and he took my truck to Car N Go to get this installed. First, they were unprofessional, telling my husband he should not have bought through [redacted], that if he could cancel it they could do it for $60 cheaper (why even advertise this way then??) My primary concern though is that the censor they placed under the hood was not attached in any way. It was simply laid on something, no glue, no screws, bolts, zip ties - nothing to secure it. How do I know this? Because I was on my way home from work with my newborn in the backseat when my brakes gave out. Let me clarify, they did not give out altogether, but had no stopping power. The pedal would only depress a very small amount which allowed me to slow down some. Luckily I was one turn away from my subdivision and live on a hill. I was able to turn (going too fast though) and then just use the gas sparingly to get me home and up the hill in my driveway to a stop (using little to no gas and what little brake I had.) My husband then took it to a shop (not thinking it was the remote starter, thinking it was a brake issue) and that is when finally, after hours of trying to solve the problem since my brakes were fine, they located the source of the problem. My husband took it back to them and the owner (that is who he thinks he talked to) couldn't seem to care less. They re-installed the censor that was removed from my brake system and that was it. No apology. No refund. I was incredibly lucky that I live in a rural area and it happened to me close to home. If this had happened in traffic, around stop lights, on the interstate or any other place, this could be much worse. The company instead would be dealing with a lawsuit over a totaled Tahoe or worse - a wrongful death suit. I am outraged that the company was not concerned when myself and my newborn baby were placed in harm’s way due to their negligence.Desired Settlement: I would like my husband to be refunded every penny he was charged for this. I would also like an apology letter and some type of reassurance that these installations will be secure going forward. I say this because my husband's boss purchased the same thing and my husband checked his after we had this happen and his was not secured either. I think this is THE VERY LEAST this company can do considering the time and money their inferior installation caused is, not to mention the risk of harm or death to me and my family. If I do not get a satisfactory resolution through my Revdex.com complaint, I am sure this will likely be a great story of interest for a local news advocate segment.

To Whom It May Concern: First I would like to apologize on behalf of Car N Go. I wasaware of the incident and I spoke with your mechanic / Husband when we werenotified about the problem, and they can attest that there was not a problemwith the braking system or anything mechanical. The only phone call we receivedwas to inform us that our remote start unit had become unattached from itsoriginal location under the dash. We were able to accommodate the vehicle thesame day to remedy the issue. We apologized again to your husband when he cameto pick the vehicle back up. In regards to the “sensor” not being attached under thehood, our installations do not require us to go under the hood of the vehiclefor any reason. The remote start units we install do not require any type ofsensor to be installed separately anywhere on the outside of the vehicle. Pointingthe finger at the last person that worked on her vehicle to resolve all hermechanical issues is not fair to any party. We warranty our work for as long asyou own the vehicle, and we stand by it! As for the [redacted] promotion, we offered you an equalsolution at a better price than you purchased from our marketing partner. You chosenot to take that route. If offering to save you money is bad service, thenagain, we apologize. We under stand that [redacted] has the right to be upset, but with respect to the issue at hand, we addressed all complaints and offeredand completed a remedy to the problem. Customer service is very important tothis family owned and operated establishment, and from our interactions withher husband, we were under the impression that the issue had been resolved and that you were satisfied.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There was no offer made. I want my husband to be refunded. Perhaps I used the wrong wording using an expression (NOT to be taken literal) of "under the hood." I am not a mechanic nor am I mechanically inclined. Those that are, the mechanic(s), that worked on the truck to locate the problem that caused my brakes to not function properly determined it was due to the piece installed that (as indicated in the response) "became unattached." To say I was, "Pointing the finger at the last person that worked on her vehicle to resolve all her mechanical issues" is insulting. There was NO PROBLEM with my brakes. I did not have a mechanical issue. My brakes were not serviced or replaced. The piece from the remote start that had become unattached and moved was in the way. It was removed and my brakes worked fine. Regards,[redacted]

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Car N Go on 12/3/14 and I have been having trouble with the vehicle every since.I reported to them that my engine light came on only after having my car a week and a half. Everytime I called the person I needed to speak with was unavailable and no one else could help me.They stated that they would give [redacted] they message but I would have to keep calling him.And finally in talked to him.He stated that I could bring my car in and he would check it out.He was not in when I arrived and the other employee [redacted] put the diagnostic scanner on it and stated that it was my o2 censor and he called mr.[redacted] on the phone to ask him what he wanted to do about the issue and he stated that he was out of town on that day.I returned to the shop another day and Mr.[redacted] was in and looked at my car and all he did was reset the switch that turned off the engine light and a couple of days later my light appeared on again and I took it to auto zone and had the diagnostic tester placed on and they stated that it was either the o2 censor or the catalytic converter.I called car n go and mr.[redacted] stated that he could get my censor at a discounted. price and that I had to reimburse him for it.But after complaining about an additional charge that was not in my contract the censor was givin to me.Thats a whole nother issue.I returned to car n go again after having a problem with water leaking threw my airbag console.Mr.[redacted] decided to do a water test himself and waste water all over my seat and my dashboard including my passenger in the front seat all were soak and wet.He stated that he was not a professional window installer after wetting up everything.I returned a coulpe of hours later after I called him back because my car started smoking from the steering column while I was driving.I could smell something burning and then appeared the smoke shortly after.I returned to the shop and he stated that he could not find anything wrong but could smell something burning. This car has electrical issue.Desired Settlement: I paid 6000.00 for this vehicle I would like my car to be fixed and a partial refund or returned for a full refund its definitely not worth 6000.00.I could not place all of the issues in the box above I ran out of space.I tried to return it after three weeks of driving but he refused to take it back.

Mrs. [redacted],I'm sorry you are having these issues with your vehicle, but as explained to you, your service contract is through [redacted], not Car N Go. I have attached the contract that was signed on 12/3/2014 stating that Car N Go is selling the vehicle as-is and that you opted for the extended service contract. In case you dont have the number to the service contract company, it is [redacted]. As explained, if the problems you are having are covered under the service contract, they will direct you on where to go.Best Regards,[redacted]

Review: Dealership reposessed car. When I got the vehicle back the battery was dead they refused to jump it. I bought a battery for the vehicle only to find out that wires had been shorted plus a hole was cut into the dashboard. The car had a few minor holes that had been cut open more. I asked the dealer for the service contract that I bout for the car for them to say they don't know what I'm talking about. Moreover I have spent $400 to the date of filing this claim with a bill for abother $400 coming from the repair shop. This vehicle was in perfect operational condition before the they, car n go, had it. The owner has also been very rude at every contact.Desired Settlement: They should pay at a minimum ofhalf of the damages done to the vehicle while it was in their care.

We apologize for coming accross rude. We do not "jump" vehicles for insurance purposes.

When the vehicle was reposessed it was brought in on a tow truck. The vehicle remained in outdoor storage until you came and arranged pick up. We did not damage or alter the vehicle from the state in which it was brought in.

As for the service contract, I offered to assist you in finding it. Our service contracts are offered through a third party. Like we discussed prior to this conversation, I would need a copy of your reciept and I can help look it up.

We have tried to be very helpful in this situation, and hope it can be resolved.

Review: On 12/2/2014 I went in to Car n Go on [redacted]When I did I viewed a 2007 Acura that I was interested in purchasing. I told [redacted] that I was interested in the car and asked about the miles. He responded that it was a great car, it was at 160,000 miles and he could see the car lasting for a good 250,000 miles .He had ran my credit threw a few financing agencies until I got approve at that point I went to get my $500.00 down payment . After I gave him the money I got my receipt for my payment and left. That night I found out some devastating finical news and could no longer move forward with the purchase. The next afternoon I went into Car N Go and spoke with [redacted] . I explain to him that I could no longer move forward with the purchase and I was no longer in the position to purchase a car. At this point he told me that he would not refund me the $500.00 down payment only 300 and that 199.00 went to the processing fees. However I didn't sign anything that said that, otherwise I would not have given him the money! I was told it was a down payment not a processing fee and a 300 down payment so I was very confused! At this point he didn't give me any of my money so I left and looked up the Va law for processing fees. I discover that that applies to [redacted]. I had been calling to get my money but to no avail . I finally went in on or around 12-17-2014 to try and retrieve my money. He said he had to" type up a quick recipt ".As I read the recipt it only gave me 300.00 back . [redacted] tried to say he held the car for me for two weeks which is confusing to me because I had told him less then 24 hours after I gave him my 500.00 down payment that I did not want the car. So origionally he told me it was a 199.00 processing fee and now hes saying its a car holding fee for a car I never wanted held . I am extermly pertubed with this situation! I work very had for my money and I don't think it's fair that the owner of Car n Go is trying to take advantage of me.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of 500.00

Response:

To whom it may concern,We would like to apologize if there was any confusion. Per the creditapplication that youcompleted on 12/02/2014, the $195 fee was the fee charged for the creditapplication, and the $305 was the deposit you put to hold the vehicleon 12/3/14.The sale of the vehicle did not commence, there for you were notcharged a processing fee, nor any ofthe applicable fees. The vehicle was held for a period of 15 days andwas taken off the market. We fulfilled our portion of the deal by guaranteeingfinancing and holding the vehicle for the time you said you needed. We had spoken on the phone on 12/12/14 and you informed methat you were going to pay for the vehicle in cash or possibly bring a familymember to look at another vehicle. We also discussed our 90 day same ascash policy. I was extemely confused when you came in on 12/17/14 requestinga refund when we had a few conversations before then and you statedthat you wouldbe bringing someone to look at the vehicle for you.If I had sold the vehicle with a deposit on it, I would have breachedour deal and can be held liable for that. We have a strictnon-refundable deposit policy posted in our office and on our creditapplications with the expectation that it is honored by both parties.Best Regards,[redacted]
