Review: I am filing this complaint due to the negligence and poor customer satisfaction between me the owner and the seller. I purchased a vehicle from the seller on 3/12 . I am not pleased with the vehicle because I have problems with it since the time of the purchase. Approximately after a week of havig the vehicle the car had to be brought back to the place of business because of a loud noise that it was making.The vehicle was purchased with 144,000 miles on it and presently have 169,000 miles on it.The vehicle overall price including the finance charge was over 11,000 . I am recently having problems with the vehicle because the shift gear is locked into park .Also due to the problem the key is stuck in the ignition. This is causing the battery to drain .The vehicle is driveable .Twice since 7/12 I had to call [redacted] To have it started. I have spoken to sells rep [redacted] a weeek ago to see if he would be able to do something about it.I was informed by him to come and fill out another application in which I did.I have called him everyday to find out that he is still waiting on the bank . Also while reviewing my contract there is false information relating to the sell of the vehicle, it state dthat I put 1500,00 down,and that was not truei put zero money down and did not trade in a vehicle. I still presently owe 5600,00 on a non working vehicle that I put about 6,000 into it. The car was involved in a car accident and that was not disclosed .

This vehicle was purchased over 18 months ago. The customer had a 24 month/24000 mile warranty and she drove over 24000 miles since she purchased the car. There is no remaining warranty on this vehicle. The car has been mistreated by the current owner. Every piece of plastic has been removed by someone. The car is a total disaster. I have advised the customer of everything. I also explained to her that we would help her as much as we could. We gave her a price of $ 345.00 to fix the car by replacing the shifter, but she has not called us back. Everything was done by the book!!!!

The reason she is not able to get into another vehicle is because all her monthly payments to the Finance Company are late. We have done everything in our power to help her. She put $ 1500 down when she purchased the car and now she is lying thru her teeth!!!

Also there is no trade in there. If you look at the contract on the second page, paragraph C. Trade in allowance. there is no amount of a trade whatsoever. That is another lie!!!

If she admits that she is wrong we are willing to help her in fixing the car for the cost of $ 345.00.

I do not accept the settlement offer at this time , and on the response paper filed by car nation , I want them to prove that I paid $1500.00 for the down payment , in which they have to have there should be a book with the receipt number and also a copy of the receipt in there files. But by the false information , I will be contacting a lawyer and also DMV to come and check the books .

Review: My husband and I bought a 2006 [redacted] from Car Nation on July 17, 2013. Before we even drove it off the lot we noticed that the exhaust was loud. My husband, being a mechanic, stated that it must have an exhaust leak and pointed it out to the salesman, [redacted] told us to bring it in on Monday, July 22, 2013 and he would fix the problem. We drove the car home and all weekend. On Sunday, 7/21/13, I dropped the car off to be repaired on Monday because I had the day off from work. I called [redacted] Monday morning and he informed me that he saw the car and would get it on the lift to check it out. I waited until 3pm and he still hadn't called me back. I called and asked what the hold up was. He told me there was a car on the lift that "just keeps having problems" and would get to my car when he could. I told him that this is unacceptable as we need the car and he told me it would be done that day. He said he'd call me in an hour. He never called. My husband called this morning, 7/23/13, and [redacted] was "with a customer" and would call him back. He never did. I called [redacted] around 3:30 pm and he said that they were going to send it to a welding shop to have it "patched". Which is unacceptable as patching it doesn't fix the problem it puts a band aid on it. Being in customer service myself, I'm appauled at the service I'm recieving. I don't like be undermined because I'm a woman with someone calling me "Hon" everytime they talk to me. And especially since the problem was there before hand it should've been fixed. Even though [redacted] told me they had "no clue" the problem existed. So much for a pre-sale inspection. I will NOT recommend them to anyone as their customer service skills are horrible. Very unprofessional.

Consumer indicated they have heard from the company, but the issue has not been resolved. Comments follow below:

The issue is semi-solved. I got my car back the same week I filed the complaint. However it was fixed incorrectly. So at this time I'll get it fixed the right way by someone else. This company has very poor customer service skills and they don't communicate properly at all. I've learned my lesson and will NEVER do business with them again nor will I recommend them. If I could, I would've returned the vehicle and went somewhere else. Lesson learned.

We have contacted the customer and we are waiting for them to call us and let us know when they are going to bring the car in so we can take care of the exhaust. For the record the car was fixed previously. The customer stated that she doesn't want it fixed but replaced. On a used vehicle if we can fix it, we fix it. If we cannot fix it then we replace it. Its not a new car.

Review: Obtained a vehicle with full warranty coverage through Car nation. Car has been deemed totalled by insurance company. The payout amount fornthe vehicle is less than what is owed on the car. I have contacted car nation (Alex C) numerous of times. I have been given `run around information`, and dead end follow ups. My credit monitoring service has just notified me that my credit has been pulled causing my score to decrease, this is because car nation has pulled my credit without my consent to obtain a new vehicle without even giving me information regarding the car that was totalled. I have what is called gap insurance so they should be covering the difference of what is owed for the car with thr loan/bank. The full warranty that I purchased is to be made out to myself so I can decide where to proceed from there. It does not seem as though they are conducting legitimate business transactions and I am caught in the cross fire (sort of speak). At this point, I would like the balance owed on the totalled car to be paid off in full with receipts of that for my records. And the amount of the warranty to be given to me so I can go elsewhere.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would like the balance owed on the totalled car to be paid off in full with receipts of that for my records.
