Mrs***-*** had work completed in July 2014. After the initial work was completed there were some repairs made to the system. In November the Production Manager and me visited the *** to address the concerns that they had. Many of the concerns that Mrs***-*** were not brought up in that visit.I would like to respond to Mrs***-*** list of concerns.1. Mrs*** never made us aware of any rocks on top of refrigerator before or after my visit to her home2. Mrand Mrs*** were made aware when they purchased the waterproofing that when carpet is pulled back to install the inside part of the system, the carpet cannot be put back down for - weeks to allow the concrete to cure and that replacement of the carpet is the homeowner's responsibility.3. We were not made aware of any concerns with the molding when I visited their home.4. Everdry offered to have the furniture cleaned and for it to be done before the holidays since she made us aware that she was expecting to have people in for the holidays.5. Mrand Mrs*** were made aware when purchasing the waterproofing that the tile cannot be replaced after the inside system is installed to allow the concrete to cure and that replacement is the homeowners responsibility.6. When the repair was made in the closet, the homeowner expressed satisfaction with the work.7. We were not made aware of the concern with the dryer hose when we visited the home.8. We offered to have the entire basement carpet cleaned before the holidays.9. We were not made aware of the concern with the closet system.10. We power washed the house in November for the homeowner.11. Repair was made to the grassy areas in the yard and was reseeded in November.12. Upon visit to the home there was quite a bit of clothing in bags and we were not able to look at the clothing. We made an offer of $for the clothing due to not having a bill from the amount of the clothing.13. We power washed the driveway when the house was washed in November. When we completed the repairs that were requested in November, the homeowner expressed satisfaction for the repairs made. The offer is still there to reimburse Mrs***-*** for the cleaning of the furniture and carpet upon obtaining receipts. We will reimburse them for the dryer hose and closet hanging system upon obtaining the receipts. I would also consider some kind of reimbursement for clothing upon obtaining receipts for the clothing in question. We are, however, not in a position to reimburse her 40% of the cost of the work.Thank you,*** ***

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

Dear [redacted],After the initial conversation between our representative and the [redacted] our manager went back to their home and explained further on what we do.  They were looking to decrease their energy bills with a system in their crawl space. We insulated the band boards to help with that concern.  They seemed to be ok with that.Keep in mind, our waterproofing system is the only system that was recognized to help with energy costs and was recognized by the federal government in that regard.  Our system was the only waterproofing system to carry an energy tax credit from the federal government. We would still be more than happy to review this and any other concerns that Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] have in regard with their foundation.Thank you,Caryn T[redacted]

Still have wet walls. Waiting on them to make it right. He can call me at ###-###-####.     Thank You [redacted]

On 3.26.15 company responded to the complaint.  With regard to Mrs. [redacted], I personally went to her home to hear her concerns along with the manager of our Production Department.  We heard her concerns and at the time she did not have a resolution in mind.  While she was happy with...

the work there were some clean up issues and she was concerned about dust in her duct work.  We offered to clean her carpet, furniture and to have her duct work cleaned.  We addressed the other minor clean up issues that she had. After the offer she was to let us know her decision and then apparently decided that she wanted a full refund.  We are not in a position to refund her the entire amount but would be willing to refund her the cost of the carpet and furniture cleaning and the duct work cleaning.  She also claimed that there was some clothing that was damaged.   We were unable to see the clothing since she had quite a bit of clothing in bags.  I would be willing to give her an additional $500 to compensate her for the clothing that she said was damaged.  We are still very eager to service anything that may arise with the work that we performed on her home in the future.

They have been to my house to look over the situation of the basement still leaking. They returned on Friday to do the work and it has been completed. Since it...

has not rained since they did the work I do not know if this will stop it from leaking. I can accept the fact that they said did the work but have to wait until we have a heavy rain before stating it was done to my satisfaction. I was told they were going to take pictures after they dug to the bottom of the foundation and then again after they sealed it and before they filled it back in. I have not seen he pictures yet so I am not exactly sure what has been done.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.  I have looked over the file and will send the manager of the department to look at her concerns next week. Thank you,Caryn T[redacted]

We are not happy with the job . That we were laid to about what they were going to do.

It is not true.  They knew we had more complaints because the gentlemen that came out after we called Ever Dry took all our complaints and he said that he would take it back to the Business and tell them what was going on.  The whole problem we have with the work and what they did deals with the fact that Chris P[redacted], the sales representative, misrepresented what they would actually do and what they did. Chris P[redacted], the sales representative, told us that they would dig down to the footers of our house and would take out the dirt and would level the crawl space and encapsulate the whole crawl space.  That is not what happened.  They only dug 18 inches and not to the footers. Chris told us that we only needed one electric outlet, knowing full well that there would have to be 2 electric outlets to cover all that needed to be plugged in. Chris also told us that the whole crawl space would be covered with the Poly Seal.  They did not do that, not even when they came back to correct what they did.Out whole complaint is based on the fact that we were lied to from the beginning and were told one thing by Chris, the sales representative, and when they finished and Mr. [redacted] went under the house into the crawl space that night none of the work that Chris said would be done was done. Mark called the company and asked to speak to one of the managers and when he got on the phone he just blew Mark off and acted like he was nobody. We had to actually call the company again to get someone to come out and look at what they did compared to what they should have done. We also sent pictures of what they did, to the company.Yes, the company sent people out to correct the problems. But they still did not do what Chris, the sales representative, said they would do. We still do not have what we were told that we would have. "NO" this complaint has not been settled or taken care of and we are still very much upset with this company.  What we were told by Chris and what they did is totally different.  If Mark had not gone under the house and looked to see what they had done we would never have known that it was such a mess.  If we had known that they were not doing what they said they would do, we would never have used this Company.

Thank you for your response to the complaint I filed with you. The first correction thatneeds to be made is that I did not say I was trying to get the job done for free. I did saythat I was willing to pay 60% of the charged amount. I was told that someone from EverDry would be in touch with me regarding this offer.Ever Dry said that they did not know how much damage was done to the clothes becausethey were in bags. That is true, but no one asked me to take the clothes out of the bags. The clothes are mildewed with mold and any that cam be salvaged will need to becleaned and pressed. The extra $500 they say they will pay is not enough to pay to cleanone bag of these clothes. My clothes are treasured items and expensive. I have beenworking for a long time, selecting treasured items along the way which $500 in no waycompensates for this loss.Ever Dry pulled up tile to make the repair. The replaced the tile wash a different patternthan what was pulled up because a match could not be found. Now there are twodifferent patterns of tile in the bedroom, and it looks terrible. The concrete residue thatwas poured down the driveway has not washed away as the company said that it would.Health problems for me and my husband have increased since basement issues led us toEver Dry. My husband has had continued issues with his breathing and nose running allof the time. As long as he is out of the house, the problems disappear. At night, hestruggles to breathe, keeping me awake and up. We both have to make continuous tripsto the doctor and now use inhalers and inhalation aerosols. The shortness of breath hasgotten worse for me.The topping that was put down on the front yard has not dissolved. This means that, notonly does it look bad; we have to take it up and clear it out ourselves.During the repair, I was asked to move my 2014 Lexus so that the truck could be put inthe driveway. While the car was parked on the street, it was hit by another car. I had torent a car for two weeks to get to work, plus pay the deductible for the repair. In addition, I had to pay to have the basement cleaned, buy a new vent hose that wasdestroyed to the dryer. So now the company is saying that they will come back andcompleted the issues I have concerns with. That means we have to be tied up on our timeonce again while they make necessary repairs that should have been taken care of in thefirst place.Although the original problem of water coming into the basement was resolved, theadditional problems created by the repair have had a negative effect and created anunwarranted financial burden upon us and added health issue.Due to the numerous problems enumerated previously, I am requesting a reduction of theamount owed to Ever Dry of 40%, which I believe is fair.Sincerely,[redacted]
