I am rejecting this response because: how did they sell me a car with back fees in the first place? Why am I suppose to pay fees thst are not mine? It just doesnt make senseive spoken to several dealer owners, and they all tell me that the dealer is suppose to provide you with a valid registration, when you purchase a vehicleIs been almost year since I purchased it, and I still dont have plates on it.I just want things to be done the correct way

Business states that the registration documentation has been taken care of

[redacted] came in and pick up the car. I had contacted the mechanic and he was confident  he fixed the car and there was no problems with the car. the car is very clean had no previous accidents or damages had clean car fax with one previous owner that was also   disclosed to the customer. As a business professional I considered the customer compliant and took it into consideration and work with her to help her fix the car all recon service record are available and what has been done on this car. I well not take the car back but willing to help customer and refer her to places for future issues

Review: I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Car Smart. They let me take the car home without the loan being in final approval and due to additional documentation being required the loan was denied. During this brief time I found out that there were major problems with the car (transmission issues and wheel bearings). Without hesitation I returned the car within 10 days. They returned most of my money BUT kept $250 of it and said it was for "bank fees". I am not understanding why they kept any of my money. No where in their contract did it state that they would keep money for bank fee purposes. I strongly believe these are unfair business tactics. Not to mention they sell cars without remorse that have major issues. This business takes adavantage of hardworking people like myself.Desired Settlement: I would like all my money returned to me, which includes the $250 that they kept for what they said was " bank fees".

Customer came to the dealer ship on 03/01/2014. Wanted to buy 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. He came to the dealer with his cousin, they both took the car on a test drive liked the car a lot . Car was in perfect condition didn’t have any problems he had bad credit he had his cousin co singed for him once we submit the loan to the bank his cousin decided didn’t want to co sing for him because he had a personal conflict with his cousin, therefore the financing didn’t go through we contacted the customer to bring the car back. Customer wanted the dealer to have his wife to co sing the wife didn’t want to co sign. The only option was left is to take the car back . He brought the car back on 03/11/2014. He drove the car for 10days and added 1638 miles on the car. We charged him contract cancelation fee of $250 which is a form that he singed, which by law we have the right to collect the fee. I have a copy of the contract cancelation fee that I am willing to provide [redacted] is not entitled for the $250.

Review: on 10/07/13 I bought my car. When I took my car [redacted] VW to be checked out they said that my catalytic converter is bad. That my tires were below ware 2/32, that both back break bulbs were out. That breaks were below the safety limit. That after driving the vw beetle that for some reason after 6 weeks & less than 2500 miles the oil dip stick comes up empty.I drove to the company with car asking [redacted] - Why none of the safety checks were done and I asked how did you get the car to PASS SMOG if the catalytic converter is bad from the very 1st drive off.The car lot said that they would fix the air bag light that has been on the day I bought the car.Desired Settlement: It would be fair to have them have [redacted] VW on Arden fix all the work. That my catalytic converter gets fixed, the air bag light is a new, a new seat belt buckle needs replacing. That the oil issue be fixed. That I get reimbursed for new tires. OR To give me back my $6,800 for car + $1,400 for extended warranty.

Review: I bought a used 2002 Honda S2000 from Car Smart on 12/13/2013. Their website advertises that all their cars have a free 3 month/3,000 warranty. On 12/24/13 the car broke down on the freeway and had to be towed to my home. I arranged to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership in [redacted] on 12/30/13. The vehicle was inspected by their mechanic and I was told that the engine needs to be replaced. I was then told by the owner that they would not cover the costs of the replacement of a new or rebuilt engine. The owner said it was not his fault that the engine blew up. Then the owner called me back the following day and said he would cover a portion of the costs, but that I needed to pay approximately a $1000 towards the repair. I put what money I had as a down payment ($5500) and do not have an additional $1000 to pay for the repairs. I only had the car for 11 days when it broke down. I believe the warranty should be honored as advertised. The car is still at the dealership being fixed supposably. I have been without a car for 3 weeks and now the finance company is asking for a payment for a car I don't even have. I've called the dealership to get an update as to the repairs and the owner is not returning my calls. Need help!!Desired Settlement: Either Car Smart honor their warranty and fix the car, without me being required to pay any additional money or return my down payment of $5500 so I can get another car somewhere else.

Response:

We have contacted the customer and made arrangements for him to tow the car to the mechanic, customer agreed and towed the car to all automotive mechanic shop on auburn Blvd. in citrus heights , Ca . We have agreed with the customer that the warranty would cover portion of the repair job which is about $1500, the reminder repair cost would be split between the dealer and [redacted]. The car is currently being worked on at all automotive mechanic shop.

Response:

In reading the reply you received from the business owner regarding my complaint, it wasn’t totally accurate. The business owner DID NOT make arrangements for me to tow the car. I had to make the arrangements and incur the costs of having the car towed from my home in [redacted] to [redacted] (approximately 90 miles) to the mechanic that the business owner selected. The business owner still says that the warranty they advertise, does not cover the full cost of repairing my car. The owner says he is willing to split the remaining balance of the repair costs, which he says should be around $1500. I reluctantly agreed to this, because what other choice do I have?

The mechanic still hasn’t fixed my car. He has had it since 12/30/2013. I have been without a car for 6 weeks!! I have paid car insurance and car payments for two months that I haven’t even had possession of the car. I have had to rely on relatives for rides to work. Its obvious that this car was on the verge of breaking down when I bought it since the engine went out only 11 days after I bought the car. I am very frustrated. Customers should be protected in situations like this. Please reopen my complaint. I appreciate your time.

Response:

the car is still all automotive mechanic shop on auburn Blvd. in citrus heights , Ca . the car is expected to be done Friday 03/28/14. Reason for the car taking time to get repaired is because it is a very rare sport performance car and the mechanic ordered parts from Texas to come. I contacted Eric at the mechanic shop on 03/26/2014 and he told me that he is hoping for the car to get repaired by Friday 03/28/14. I well follow up with you on the status of the repair if anything further comes up .

Thank you

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The business owner basically gave you the status of the situation, not that he was agreeing or willing to compromise on the financial portion of the compliant. My car was finally repaired (after 3 months) and I picked it up from the repair shop this past weekend. Originally the business said that my portion of the repair balance would be $750 as he earlier stated in response to the Revdex.com complaint. It turned out that I had to pay $1300! I'm not pleased with that or the fact that I have been paying for car insurance at the tune of $225 a month for the three months that the car was in the shop being repaired, and I wasn't even driving the car!! This whole thing has been a very frustrating and horrible experience for me. I wouldn't say that I find this resolution satisfactory to me. But what else can do I do, but except.

Sincerely,

Review: Let me start by acknowledging that I understand that I should of had this car looked at by a mechanic before I purchased it. I also acknowledge that when buying a used car its never going to be in perfect condition. In light of that, I bought a used car from this dealership that seemed to be in good shape. I brought it to my mechanic and he found a list of all sorts of issues. Theres a long term oil leak, strut issues, transmission issues, the bumper has been glued together, no brake lights, the sunroof doesn't close, the issues don't end here but these are the major ones. I bring it back & ask to return the car and get my money back. [redacted] who sold me the car of course refuses my request & insist on "fixing" the issues. I pick the car up after 5 days of being "fixed" and not even 20 miles down the road my power steering goes out. [redacted]'s mechanic also put a new water pump, timing belt and gaskets in-I paid for the parts for this to be done right. [redacted] claimed the car was in great working condition when I left 20 minutes ago. I get the car towed and my mechanic comes to find that the serpentine belt broke because of the work that his mechanic (Go 2 Automotive in Roseville) did or did not do. I pay to fix it. Two days later I'm leaking antifreeze everywhere. Good thing [redacted] put a new waterpump in? Today I am getting my second tow in the first week of owning this car. I can't get [redacted] to even call me back. This business should be shut down. [redacted] sold me a dangerous car with a ton of issues for top dollar price.Desired Settlement: I bought this car 9999 dollars and got a loan for 1500, a total of 11499 for a broken car. I would like to return the car and get my money back.
