This consumer is refusing to take responsibility that she alone caused damage to her own vehicle, she clearly overheated her vehicles engine causing damage We regret our technicians didn't find hydrocarbons in the cooling system when the vehicle was here, that doesn't mean we are responsible for the damage she caused to her own vehicle We offered her a full refund for the money she spent at our shop, but she refused the offer I have attached the [redacted] investigation report for review

[redacted] declined the hood latch repair. He said he has to close and secure it himself. With this information his insurance company, [redacted] have declined his claim, Hope this helps. Call if you need anything.

Dear [redacted],As I have stated to you on the phone. I am very unclear of my customer's complaint. It seems the main issue is that I went ahead and added charges to her bill without her consent. I am attaching a copy of the repair order. As you will see there were three calls to [redacted]...

on 6/20/16 to authorize and update repairs. Please  review my repair order and the authorization section. You will find that I have followed all procedures correctly per the [redacted] guidelines. Also, I have tried to contact [redacted] a couple times. Once on 6/28 and again on 6/30. I left messages hoping to resolve this issue with no response. It is possible she wanted to vent her concerns without any inclination of pursing any complaint further. Please contact me if you have any further questions.Thank you,[redacted]

I took quotes from the [redacted] Report that I thought would be helpful and included another statement of my own.  Let me know if you think this would be good enough that I can move on.Thanks,[redacted]"I received a call from customer and went over her concerns, She explained that the vehicle had been low on coolant twice now and a total of ¾ gallon had been added, I explained that this would not be normal and that if there is not in external coolant leak visible it is likely possible that the head gasket could be an issue from the original overheat problems. I arranged to have another approved auto repair shop Inspect the vehicle. The car was taken to XXXX Where they inspected the vehicle and found that it had 700 HC’s In the radiator which was a positive result for blown head gaskets.  They mentioned that the vehicle had not been properly maintained and that the repair for the head gasket would exceed the value of the vehicle." Quote from [redacted] Report"I received another message from customer requesting that I speak with her mechanic friend [redacted] As they feel that the additive used during the original water pump repair cause the issue with the head gasket. I advise that this is highly unlikely but I would contact [redacted]. I spoke with [redacted] claims to be eight ** expert with 50 years experience. He feels that the coolant additive used flushed out the original coolant additive Which serves as a stopped leak Causing the head gasket failure. I respectively this agreed and advise that I am well aware of the coolant Supplement from [redacted]. This is merely ground up ginger and serves as a stopped leak for minor external coolant leaks which this engine is prone to I also explained that a combustion leak from the head gasket would not be sealed by this coolant supplement. The supplement is only effective in preventing low pressure leaks. A leak at the head gasket would be very high pressure additionally the head gasket is composed of metal compression sealing rings. These are only compromised during an overheat condition where the metal expands or from excessive electrolysis. There is no correlation logically of the compression leakage into the cooling system at the head gasket from the coolant supplements. I again respectfully disagreed with his analysis and opinion on this issue."  quote from [redacted] Report" Iv'e looked into her concerns and could not find any indication that the shop did anything improperly. I also made arrangements to have a second shop look at her vehicle and they didn't find any indication the first shop did anything wrong either. The vehicle has a blown head gasket from overheating. The vehicle was towed to the first shop for an overheating breakdown. They found and replaced the a leaking water pump which is fine now."  quote from [redacted] ReportAgain, we were not the ones who overheated and damaged her vehicle.  This consumer is refusing to take responsibility that she alone caused damage to her own vehicle!  We replaced the leaking Water Pump, thermostat, and flushed the coolant.  As stated in the [redacted] report, it was documented by another shop that the vehicle had not been properly maintained.  Per the [redacted] Report there is no issue with the Water Pump or Thermostat.  I did offer the customer a refund and she declined.  To our knowledge; the customers insurance company has declined her claim, our insurance company has declined her claim, and the [redacted] Auto Repair Shop Organization feels Car & Truck Pros didn't do anything wrong and that the customer overheating her vehicle caused the blown head gasket.

Review: Repair shop claimed that I lock my hood when if fax I never got a change to lock my truck hood because it was still being worked on in the shop. They return my truck to me with the hood down so I assumed they had locked the hood but after driving close to a minute the hood flew up into my windshield almost causing me to hit a pedestrian and then into oncoming traffic and the car on the other side of me. They lied to [redacted] and to the [redacted] or the one's who gets them business. They didn't where we help to me but they recommended that repair shop. [redacted]Desired Settlement: Pay for the damage they caused my truck and mental and panic increase of anxiety.

I am rejecting this response because:My complaint was about the cart truck pros. Did not lock my truck hood to the car frame making the hood fly up and hitting my windshield making the hood come aloose. Please ask car + truck pro to show you declined evidence and [redacted] of car insurance and a claim I filed and to show you that evidence/proof that the [redacted] has a claim that I filed with them that they declined. I only filed complaint and showed a repair bill. These people tell one lie after another and once you start the first one you don’t know how to quit so you just keep on lieing until you get caught. I am a service connected Vietnam vet and would like HAD Americans with disability act and ask for reasonable accommodations when it comes to picking up my mail. I would have to drive over 15 or more miles a Thank you sincerely[redacted]

Review: 6-18-16:son drovetruck. Tells me trouble with brakes, constant brake pumping. 6-19-16: I drive vehicle to work. notice same problem. 6-20-16:locate mechanic in phone book.6-20-16 call car & truck pros. Speak to [redacted]. I Tell her brakes go to floorboard. She says if not confident driving due to problem, tow to shop. I chose to tow. Told fluid from brake booster going right into master cylinder. Also I was told truck idling so bad, could barely get into shop. Told ECT Sensor defective. Said no change in idling. Upon inspecting back breaks? was told rear drums cracked. My question to you- How does front brake issue/Master Cylinder issue lead, warrant, or have anything to do with that at all? The only extra that I asked for when asked was if I wanted an Oil change. I said yes. Why did they take in own hands to add more than asked with no permission. ECT Sensor did not change or make a difference. 6-22-16: Went 8:20 am for parts back. [redacted] gave me broken ECT Sensor and Master Cylinder. Said they disposed of brake booster already, also that I needed to request All/or any parts in advance. I want to know why.I feel I paid for parts, service, etc that I did not need.Desired Settlement: I would like adjustment on my billing, to be regulated more in content that a business does not tack on extras. REFRAIN FROM ADDING EXTRA LABOR/PARTS WITHOUT CONSENT.
