I apologize for the delay of this responseThe notification letter was apparently sent to the wrong addressI received a call some time ago from the Revdex.com asking for my correct mailing addressHad the Revdex.com representative told me that there was a complaint, I
would have responded immediatelyPerhaps that should have been brought up at the time
*** *** called the car wash number and left a message about $being taken out of her account when her charged amount should have been between $and $When there is a message left, the car wash voicemail system immediately sends the message to my phoneSince it was an urgent issue, I called her as soon as I heard her message even though her message was left close to midnight on 4/5/It has been about a month and my memory is a bit fuzzy so I checked my recordsI returned her call a few minutes later at 12:am, on 4/6/Understandably, I got her voice mail.
I explained on the voice mail that she was seeing a temporary or pending transaction on her bank's websiteWhen a card is swiped at the self service car wash, the machine must authorize the card to be sure it is validSince the final amount charged is not known until the customer finishes washing and pushes the "Stop" button, the bank authorizes the card for the maximum amount allowable, which I have set at $When the transaction finalizes over the next few days, it changes from a "pending transaction - $15" to the final charge reflecting the actual dollar amountOnly the correct amount is actually withdrawn from the customer's accountThe car wash records show that the charge in this case was $
After leaving this explanation on her voicemail, I instructed *** *** to watch her bank account to make sure the transaction finalized correctlyI left her my personal cell phone number to call if there was still a problemI do not recall any further communication on this matter, which I assumed was resolved to her satisfactionI hope this is the caseIf it is not, I will resolve it immediately
One final point, there is not a "ton of complaints" online of us doing this and people being unable to contact meThere are a handful of people who have left comments online (or 6) because they were understandably furious with the perceived overchargeAs I look at the *** and *** posts, the ones that are negative are from people who posted or filed a complaint instantly, before giving me a chance to resolve or explain the issue as I have done in this instanceThese people don't go back and update the complaints once they are resolved or proven to be erroneous, much like with this Revdex.com complaintI am at the location at some point every day, days a week, even on holidaysI take voice mails hours a day, even on the rare instances when I have to leave townThe phone number is right on the front of the buildingAnyone that actually tries to contact me does indeed contact me, and most certainly gets a timely response
I sincerely hope that *** *** was satisfied with the final outcome of this transaction, even though she was rightfully upset with the process
