EXTREMELY HELPFUL STAFF; ALL MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED PRODUCT I WAS LOOKING FOR THEY WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR AUDIO NEEDS THEY ALSO HAVE A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS 40+ YEARS AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE WAS EVIDENT AND EASILY SHARED AND EXPLAINED

Car X in [redacted] Springs failed my car for a problem that another garage confirmed wasn't in fact a problem at all They said the repair would cost in the thousands Found out it happened to several neighbors that all went other places that said there were no such issues for them, too They all had quotes of repairs in the thousands, too

I went to Car X located at Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, Ohio on 1/28/Told them there is antifreeze under the car to diagnose itThey said they will have to charge me $50, being a senior citizen not familiar with what customary charges are, I said okayThe car was in the shop for a total of minutes, the car went up the lift for minutesAfter it came down, it sat there for minutes while the mechanics were looking at another car and one of them was smokingThey said you need a water pumpOn February 4, 2016, I went to Car X store on Car-X W Kemper Rd, Springdale, OH 45246, for an oil change and I asked them twice (Times) what they charge for a pressure check for antifreeze leak and he said there will be no charge (They were extremely helpful and courteous)I called Car X at Wunnenberg Way, West Chester, OH and I asked them the same question regarding the antifreeze leak, their answer was it was freeI called the corporate office @ 12:on 2/4/and spoke with Diane (very helpful and courteous person) and I informed her about my issueShe said she will contact the area manager about this issueOn 2/5/2016, a person named Steve who identified himself as the manager at the Fairfield location and said, you could have taken the free visual, which was Never offered to meHe also said that the $could be applied toward the repair, which was Never offered to meI asked the manager if there was no code, how do come you charge for itHe said the code is LBR (labor) depending on the time spentI calculated there hourly rate is about $He said he will speak with his supervisor and call backI never heard back from him as of 2/17/I called Tire Plus store at Dixie Hwy Fairfield, OH [redacted] .They said they charge $to do a pressure checkIt is a sad day when a national business, located in the same geographical area, takes advantage of Senior Citizens or anyone else in such a wayCar X company, must remedy these kind of slip-ups if they are to remain a viable organizationAll their branches should have standardized pricesWith the advent of tweets, blogs and other social media communications, it will cost them dearlyAvoid at any cost going to the Car X store at Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, Ohio I am sure they are laughing all the way to the bankI don’t want other people to fall for this type of rip-off

Absolutely sy workWas told my BOGO wouldnt be eligible, even though my GF just got the coupon a month ago So, fine, I ordered another $full inspection and whatnot, told them I'd be back in 3-hours Gave them my $off coupon for any oil change Got back in my vehicle, after store hours, and was greeted to a sheet saying what they didHowever, the detailed sheet showing each tired, and checked off Good/Medium/Bad for everything wasnt thereHow do I know you did any work? Car-X was not allowed an opportunity to examine the vehicle and obtain a sample of the fluid that was in the vehicle at time of lossThe vehicle transmission was replaced by another auto shop before the loss was reported, so there is no way of knowing if the auto shop made an error in determining the nature of the fluidUltimately, the fluid was provided by BMW
After careful consideration and based on our investigation Car-X is not responsible for this accidentUnless there is additional information that can be submitted for further review, we consider the matter closed

I did provided a sample of the fluid extracted from my car after the transmission failed to the Car-X location in *** *** *** (who had performed the initial work (of placing the wrong fluid in my car)Car-X did not ask to examine the transmission at that time, or any time, and took over months to respond back to me from that point, only doing so after I sent a 2nd message to the company PresidentMr*** apologized at that time for not responding after his promise of action months beforeThere was still no request to examine fluid or the transmission, nor was there any request from *** *** *** who covers Car-XThe failed transmission unit was ultimately returned to the transmission re-builder who had provided the replacement transmission
Yes, MINI did have documented issues with the earlier transmission used in XXXX-XXXX MINI's, but my had the upgraded Getreg unit, which has not been problematicThe broad statement that 'transmission failures are common with Minicoopers' is false
MINI/BMW vehicles specify and require a different manual transmission fluid formula compared to traditional fluidThe fact remains that the Car-X technician placed the wrong fluid in my car, while claiming to have used the proper fluidThe chemical analysis of the improper fluid used compared to a new sample of MINI/BMW fluid proved the fluid did not match what was required by MINIThe wrong fluid that was used by Car-X had a chemical composition that would break-down the internal components of a MINI transmission
I am amazed and saddened by Car-X and their lack of attention to handling this matterThe statement that 'there is no way to confirm that the fluid in the vehicle at the time of loss caused the transmission failure' is similar to the police stating 'a gun was found net to the body' there may not be video proof of what occurred, but it is reasonable to believe what was the cause and effectObviously in the case, the wrong fluid would cause the failureIt was the wrong fluidThe transmission did failHow is Car-X not responsible?
I suggest re-consideration of this case is taken by Car-X

We have reviewed *** ***'s complaint and the fact that he is dissatisfied with our denial of his claimWe have investigated the situation internally, as well as turned the matter over to our insurance carrier, *** *** *** *** has assigned an adjustor, who investigated the allegations based on the facts given to us by *** ***, interviews with employees, experts in transmission repair, and the chemical analysis by Blackstone Labs
In our opinion: to determine the cause of a failure in a transmission based on a fluid sample alone, after the failure, is inconclusive at bestThere are many of the trace elements in the *** lab results that are by-products of any transmission failure, and not necessarily the causeWhat part or parts failed in the transmission? Can anyone explain why they failed? Car-X has not been allowed to examine the failed transmission or failed parts all of which leads us to state we have no liability
The adjustor statement is as follows:
"I do not see any liability on the insuredThere is no way to confirm that the fluid in the claimant vehicle at the time of loss caused the transmission failure especially since transmission failures are common with these MinicoopersOur insured was not allowed an opportunity to examine the vehicle and obtain a sample of the fluid that was in the claimant vehicle at time of lossThe claimant vehicle transmission was replaced by another auto shop before the loss was reported, so there is no way of knowing if the auto shop made an error in determining the nature of the fluidAdverse shop could have recommended replacement of transmission because it was to their benefitUltimately, the fluid was provided by BMW and if it was in fact incorrect, then I would see liability against BMW
Will now issue denialCalled claimant and left message advising of decision"
However, based on Mr***'s dissatisfaction with the decision, we are going to reconsider, and take it one more step: At Car-X request and expense, the Blackstone laboratory results provided are being sent to a Forensic Engineering company called *** *** for their impartial opinion of the fluid reportOnce we receive the results (it may take a couple weeks) we will send an update with our final decision
Obviously, we at Car-X care a great deal about our customers and we don't feel, nor does our insurance adjustor, we were negligent in anywayIf we did find that Car-X was negligent we would be promptly reimbursing the customer for damage we caused

I am disgusted with the service I have given this company for several years I went to Car X in Green Bay, WI Phoenix Way I had a coupon for $ The coupon and the work order I have states clearly - Work Requested: Road Trip Special, includes FULL SERVICE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE, TIRE ROTATION AND POINT COURTESY VEHICLE INSPECTION They charged me $for this service because they added additional Oil and Champ Oil FIlter and didn't ask my permission I went to Car X because of the coupon I asked about these charges and Craig *** basically said we can charge more at times because of vehicle Never once had he asked my permission I expected the charge of this service to be $ He looked at coupon and hesitated - my perception is he knew he got caught making additional charges I then called him and reiterated the verbiage on the document I have and he didn't have anything to say I will not be returning to Car X because of lack of integrity I am so disappointed Hopefully that money was worth my business

I have made multiple attempts to contact this customer with no success In talking with the store manager, they took her to the car and showed her the wear on the

We understand the reasoning for the rejection of the previous response After speaking with the customer, it is clear there is no practical way of resolving the issue without an inspection of the brakes; however, I was left with the impression that some brake work had been completed by their mechanic During the conversation I made every effort to assure them that we do not conduct business in a way that would breach trust or integrity and allegations of the same are investigated promptly and if required, swift action taken if impropriety is determined

I took my jaguar for repair I was told cost would be $563.00 when I went to pick up vehicle charged me $901.00 looked at my car the jaguar emblem was missing back seat was broken very bad experience at [redacted] Park Chicago . So disappointed
Oh forgot to mention they kept my vehicle for 3 weeks put lots of miles in my car.

Horrible Service Lucky to be Alive
I went to car x on [redacted] in Des Plaines. I usually and will be going back to trustworthy [redacted] I went in to get a simple oil change. First it takes 40-45 mins to get a oil change. At least with [redacted] I'm in and out in 20 minutes. Second I'm informed to pay 300 hundred dollars for my muffler because a band is missing and because they feel I should get a new one. I am inform the man I can't pay for that right now so I will stick with the oil change and have to come back when I have the money. He looks upset and tells the other man to get her ready to go. I can tell they were upset but if some one does not have the money they don't and that's all. I leave and go home park my car and take a family trip with my fiancé and come home to such disappointment. At around 8 I got in the car with my 7 month old son to get wipes and formula. As I am backing out my brake light flickers on and off and when I tried to stop my car would not stop correctly. I thought at first maybe it because the grounds slippery from raining earlier and proceed to the drive way exit as I approach my car still doesn't stop correctly and I had to pump my brakes constantly to stop. My car is like a brand new car 27,000 brand new tires and well taken care of. Before I went to that terrible car x I had no issues with my car because it was as new and taken care of. They did something to my brakes. I will never go there again and would not advise anyone else because it could easily happen to you and trust it's not worth it when you can go to [redacted] get a oil change and receive your car back the same way you left it. I know my car was tampered with go at your own risk I could have been killed with my infant in the car if I would have gone in traffic. My car had absolutely no problems I just put new tires had rotation check and only needed a little oil to keep driving smooth. I will never go there again.

A1 concrete just raised and leveled our front sidewalk and front steps. The process was done in a very quick and orderly manner. The process was everything the contractor promised. After the job was completed the whole area was cleanup. The price was very, very reasonable.

I have always had a great experience with Car-X. The associates there actually care about the customer and get the problem fixed. I remember one time in particular, I went in to replace a speed sensor. Before they repaired this, they did an inspection for free like always and they found that my rear tires were dangerously bald. I told them that I couldn't afford to replace the tires, and to just replace the speed sensor, but the associate didn't want me to drive away with unsafe tires.

He installed two cheap tires on my car, rotated and balanced them, and replaced the speed sensor for free, charging me only for the tires, which would have been about the same as just the speed sensor. Car-X has become my go-to auto shop.

The Car-X on Olive Boulevard managed by myndee [redacted].. I had a scheduled oil change appointment on the way there my engine light came on the manager was able to get me in diagnose the problem and help me with my issue to fit within my budget I received excellent service from the manager as well as the mechanics I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone!...

I went to Car X located at 5367 Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, Ohio 45014 on 1/28/2016. Told them there is antifreeze under the car to diagnose it. They said they will have to charge me $50, being a senior citizen not familiar with what customary charges are, I said okay. The car was in the shop for a total of 15 minutes, the car went up the lift for 4 minutes. After it came down, it sat there for 10 minutes while the mechanics were looking at another car and one of them was smoking. They said you need a water pump.
On February 4, 2016, I went to Car X store on Car-X 175 W Kemper Rd, Springdale, OH 45246, for an oil change and I asked them twice (2 Times) what they charge for a pressure check for antifreeze leak and he said there will be no charge (They were extremely helpful and courteous). I called Car X at 4851 Wunnenberg Way, West Chester, OH 45069 and I asked them the same question regarding the antifreeze leak, their answer was it was free.
I called the corporate office @ 12:30 on 2/4/2016 and spoke with Diane (very helpful and courteous person) and I informed her about my issue. She said she will contact the area manager about this issue.

It is a sad day when a national business, located in the same geographical area, takes advantage of Senior Citizens or anyone else in such a way.
Car X company, must remedy these kind of slip-ups if they are to remain a viable organization. All their branches should have standardized prices. With the advent of tweets, blogs and other social media communications, it will cost them dearly. Avoid at any cost going to the Car X store at 5367 Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. I am sure they are laughing all the way to the bank. I don’t want other people to fall for this type of rip-off.
