[redacted] vehicle. The reason she brought her car in for an inspection was because of a noise while stopping. We found the front brake pads to have excess material build up, at which time they suggested replacement. She has a lifetime warranty on the pads, which entitles her to free pad replacement. An untrained or under educated "tech" would think the pads are fine by just looking at the available material left on the brake pads. I informed [redacted] that to properly fix her "noise would require replacement of pads or at the minimum ,disassembly, cleaning and lubing of pads and associated parts. She also was informed that it would be safe to drive her car with the noisy brakes. I also offered to reinspect her car. The wheels will get stuck on the hub of the car because of corrosion. I would be happy to remove her wheels and clean the corrosion off to avoid future problem with wheel removal. (without any cost to [redacted] The corrosion will cause problems with wheel removal in the future.
