Response to Complaint ID: [redacted] Attn [redacted] .Thank you for bringing complaint ID [redacted] from car2go member [redacted] to our attentioncar2go believes in providing fair and ethical resolutions to consumer issuesWe tend to err on the side of the consumer, unless the issue is clear cut and the responsibility of the member is apparent.In this case Mr [redacted] states that he received two parking tickets from San Diego Parking Enforcement after two separate car2go tripsAccording to Mr [redacted] the first ticket was for parking on a street designated for street sweeping, the second for not turning his wheels to the curb when parking on an incline/decline.Per car2go rules listed on the FAQ page of our website ( [redacted] ), members are responsible for obeying all local traffic and parking ordinancesThis includes not parking in no parking zones and/or street sweeping zones within hours after a rental, as well as turning car wheels towards the curb when parking on an incline/decline.As a member courtesy car2go customarily pays a member’s first parking ticket with the goal of educating the member, and in fact car2go did not transfer liability for Mr [redacted] ’s first ticket for street sweeping zone violation and paid the ticket on behalf of the membercar2go did transfer liability for the second ticket.In summary, car2go takes all customer service issues seriously and we strive to provide our members with an excellent experienceWe are always willing to work with our members when issues arise and strive to resolve them in a timely manner on a case-by-case basisIn these two instances Mr [redacted] parked in a manner that resulted in parking ticketsThese were his actionsWhile we waived the first ticket and absorbed the cost ourselves, we are not able to waive the second and correctly transferred liability to Mr [redacted] We value Mr [redacted] ’s membership in car2go and hope that he chooses to use our service againThank you.Respectfully, [redacted] ***General Managercar2go San Diego
