Review: Mr.Caral personally replaced an "ignitor" in our [redacted] Heater, after using his service, 11-14-13, as we had no heat. Again we had no heat on 11-29-13 and left him a phone message with no reply. Again we phoned him on 12-8-13 to no avail. We finally had to call another HVAC company who replaced the defective ignitor with the correct part number for the [redacted] heater. Mr. Caral's ignitor did not fit the heater correctly and caused the ceramic to touch the burner box which then shorted out the igniter and the control board. We finally made contact with Mr. Caral and he said he would come over to see the defective ignitor and control board which we saved for him, along with a statement from HVAC company who corrected the problem. He never came and we sent him an email with supporting documentation, asking him for a refund of his bill of $210.00 he charged for the incorrect ignitor.His wife replied on 1-6-2014 that he said it was "indeed the correct ignitor" and that he would contact us shortly. Never heard from him and never will. We gave this man a recommendation which lead to his installation of a heater/air conditioner to a neighbor the summer of 2013. I also put his card in mailboxes of 52 neighbors in my community. He used death in his family and hospitalization as an excuse for not getting back to us. He is the most unethical and deceiving business person we have ever dealt with. He pretends to really care about your problem but does not stand behind his workmanship. He used an "ignitor" that he had on his truck which perhaps could have worked on some heaters. The other HVAC company had to order a "correct ignitor" for our heater. I would not recommend [redacted] Caral to anyone. We had to pay another $299.10 for a correct "ignitor" and control board that the faulty ignitor damaged. We watched the other company look into our heater and we saw the damage for ourselves. We have proof of the "Pudding" in defective parts to show for it. Please post this complaint for others to see.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of the amount [redacted] Caral charged us for installing the incorrect part number "ignitor" in our [redacted] heater. That amount was $210.00 on November 13, 2013. We would like him to pick up the damaged parts at our home.Thank you for publishing this complaint.
