NMichigan AveChicago, IL This was my first Caravan tour I had no idea what to expect; however, I didn’t expect this:
The tour director was horrible He liked to embellish all statements and was too political Why don’t you hire local guides and just have someone see that we get on and off the busThat person can stay in the hotelBus; doing the calculations, we were on the bus for 40% of the tour, it was horrible You need to map a better route and eliminate unnecessary stops Also, the bus driver did not understand English Really???
Food….all buffets, ( I lost weight on this trip)The last night should be dinner served off the menu The *** *** in Pozos de Santa Ana was reasonably pricedBest food was at the *** *** It was downhill after thatJan 4-Nice accommodations at IntercontinentalVolcano tour…cloud covered Suggest earlier start Get up there when the park opensEliminate the coffee factory Waste of timePurpose was to sell us coffee Do you get a percentage? I did not take that tour, instead whet to butterfly garden That is where you should have a guideJan 6-Wildlife rescue center was very niceThe F* stay was horrible All rooms, or shacks, were bug infested I had to leave the lights on to keep the bugs from crawling on the bed Also saw a scorpion I had to constantly spray my body with bug spray Take this off your list Also, our tour guide said we had a Happy Hour at pm for our group complementary Well it was notWe were required to purchase drinks to get a discount Only on select drinks Then when I approached him at the buffet dinner, he denied saying it was complementary on the bus I had witnesses, but some guests were afraid of a confrontation, said they thought he said complementaryJan 8-M*** was nice However, In degrees all groups should be seated insideOutside seating should be optional *** *** Cruise was very nice Did soak in hot springs because only there hr This should be hrsFood was horribleSuggest giving guests voucher to eat where they want for dinnerWe did not go to Arenal Volcano It was never mentioned by our horrible tour directorHanging bridges were nice I could have taken the walk that included all bridges, but our tour guide exaggerated the severity of the walk My group actually caught up to the group that was going all the wayEliminate the Leatherback Turtles *** ***k It was too hot to walk on beach in the afternoon Also, did not see any eggs Waste of timeJan Hotel *** *** was fineBird watching cruise would have been very nice if our tour guide would stop telling stories and point out the birds Tram ride was very niceWhy did we stop for ice cream? Did you get a percentage here too?
Happy Hour was very nice But, again, buffet dinner outside with the bugsJan Walk to beach was a waste of time with our tour guide I took another path that was for tourist, gave descriptions of wildlife and was a paved trail Not the road our tour guide took us with huge rocks and trucks passingQuality H***
Very nice place and we ate our meals inside, no bugs
