Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
It is true that my van has a lift kit on the front suspensionI was up front about that I had told the shop owner B*** *** I had a problem with alignment it is true another mechanic said to replace the upper control arms with longer onesHowever the whole point in taking my van to My Mechanic/ Off Road Werkz was not because another shop wouldn't do the work, the reason was because My Mechanic/ Off Road Werkz claims to be offroad and lift kit experts so I thought they would be the best in advising me as well as doing the jobI asked B*** the owner of the shop if replacing the upper control arms with the longer ones would work he looked at upper control arms that I had purchased and he confirmed "yes" it would work we do this all the timeB*** the owner convinced me it would workI was relying on B*** the owner of My Mechanic/ Off Road Werkz on his expertiseI would not have spent $on a job without getting the advice and confirmation of an expert which I thought B*** was.
When I saw the van it looked bad the top of the wheels slanted in when I asked about it B*** the owner he said you just have to the Alignment done like it was normalWhen I took the van to have it aligned the shop said it could not be aligned the upper control arms were wrong they said that any mechanic could have seen that the arms were wrong before starting the job(I do have letters from the alignment shop to confirm.)
Now my vehicle cannot be aligned and its not safe to drive it is worse condition than when I brought it inThe wheels wobble and it feel like they going to fall offAlso there is a lot of noise coming from the suspension that was not there beforeI now need to replace the parts they damaged the spindles, the wheel bearings, and upper arms.
I feel it's only fair to get my money back for the bad advice, damage and bad work the shop did
Regards,

As Stated by the Business.
I am now having to respond to the Customer again regarding this complaint. If you read his original complaint and the second response you will see that his story has changed. First he said that I recommended the upper control arm replacement and now admits that another shop recommended it. Now he is putting all of the liability on me when I have made this clear that it the liability is on him. The only reason that I agreed to put his upper control arms on the vehicle was that I could ream out the spindle assembly to accommodate the bigger ball joint. And that the other shop could not do it because they did not have the equipment I have NOT made any recommendations for his vehicle because he said he had it under control with his mechanic and Sears doing the alignment.
Prior to him paying for the vehicle to be released to him. There was a discussion between my technician, service consultant and myself that there were issues of the suspension that needed to be evaluated and he said he would take care of this. He paid and picked up the vehicle the next day. I made it clear that there was no warranty because of modifications and customer agreed. It was printed on the estimate sheet and repair order and the customer signed before repairs and after repairs performed.
Now the customer has charged back his credit card of the amount of $517.50. And now I am now having to deal with this trying to get them to pay for services rendered. They have all of the evidence that I am sending you.
I am not refunding money at this time because services were performed "per customer request". If there are any questions, Please feel free to contact me. ###-###-####. I am not at the shop all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays because I have dialysis treatments.
My additional notes...
The suspension had already been modified and lifted and obviously he could not align it before adding Upper Control Arms. Now that he had us install them he still cannot get it within factory specifications. That will never happen because it was lifted with extremely taller springs. So.... Common sense says Sears could not help him before or after this either...
He would never disclose who was doing the alignment or wheel change to us. He just said it was another shop and he had it covered.
I made it very clear NO WARRANTY on  the repair order because of modifications and he supplied the parts,
I feel like he frauded my shop by charging back on his credit card, and then took me to the Revdex.com and now trying to ruin my reputation.
He could have taken me to small claims court. But, I do know that I have performed a service that he asked for. And It was very clear that there was no warranty and he would have lost his case.
Attached is an Estimate Copy and the Final Copy of the repair order in which he signed and agreed to NO WARRANTY
