Subject: ID ***In response to complaint # ***, Work done @ *** *** ** *** *** ** *** Card Plumbing was called out to replace the kitchen faucet and had ordered a faucet that met the specifications that the homeowner had asked for This faucet was installed, with
some difficulty due to the age of the old faucet, in one hour At the completion of the faucet replacement the tenant showed us a leak in the bathroom that was causing/ going to continue to cause rot to the bathroom floor/wall Ethically we cannot just walk away from such a leak and could not get a hold of the owner to get her approval If left unattended this leak would have caused hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of damage, depending on the length of time this leak was left unattended The charges were for the time spent fixing the issues we found and no more Since this had gone unpaid for months there was a standard interest fee added and a minimal re billing fee

I am rejecting this response because: My phone logs every call, missed, received, voicemails, everything. There was NO ATTEMPT to contact me

It seems we have come to an impasse in this complaint.  This customer lives in another state and the work we did was viewed at the time as needing immediate attention.  There was an attempt made to contact the homeowner at the time of service but due to busy schedules and time constraints my technician was put into a position to make a judgement call and deemed prompt repairs were necessary.

Our company provides one year warranty on all parts and labor we provide. Since this complaint wehave been back out to this customer's home and done other work that is all satisfactory. This customermade a choice to hire another plumber outside of their home warranty, which is who dispatched us, todo repairs that are unknown to us. At this time I have to assume that this matter is resolved and moveon with day to day operations.

Subject: Re:complaint # [redacted]Due to electronic issues, I received the reply from Card Plumbing and the notice of dismissal of my case at the same time.Card Plumbing MADE NO ATTEMPT to contact me to discuss any additional work.  It was not an emergency and they had specifically been told they were to do nothing beyond the replacement of the kitchen faucet.  THEY MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME.  They did unauthorized work against my specific instructions.  They cite ethics as the reason they did it, ETHICS would require them to get approval for non-emergency work.
